Without destroying the core, they couldn't be killed. That world's civilization had been nearly wiped out—a true apocalyptic high-risk zone.
If Saiki weren't with them, Shen He wouldn't dare enter with only Shiki and Violet.
Summoning Saiki was truly the best thing that ever happened.
Shiki was naturally unhappy, but the decision of who to take belonged to Shen He. So he grabbed Violet's hand and entered the new dungeon with Saiki.
The world that greeted them was desolate to the extreme.
Ruined cities. Collapsed skyscrapers. Dusty gray skies. Sand blowing everywhere.
And massive, monstrous beings crawling slowly across the land.
"This dungeon… isn't a high-difficulty one, right?"Shen He swallowed nervously.
Because the moment the three of them appeared, they were already completely surrounded.
There was no time to react—
A chorus of roars erupted.
With thunderous stomps crushing the debris underfoot, a horde of towering beasts—four to five meters tall—charged at them. Their massive bodies whipped up sandstorms; pebbles stung against their faces like bullets.
Shen He didn't even have time to think.He immediately pulled out Mirage from his inventory and jumped inside.
"Luminous! (Absolute Protection Field!)"
With the instinctive shout, countless heavy impacts slammed against the barrier.
After Tony's modifications, the shield—which originally covered only the front—had become a cylindrical full barrier, blocking all the monsters' attacks. But the rapidly draining energy meter made it clear just how powerful their strike force was.
"Saiki! Take Violet and teleport out of the encirclement!" Shen He shouted.
Just as he said it, Saiki—understanding exactly what he planned—teleported himself and Violet into the air.
Shen He immediately pressed the ultimate skill button. A device launched from his chest, spraying fire as it deployed, and a blazing beam shot downward. The destructive light swept across a wide area in front of him.
Even Aragami were shredded under the blast—but then, to Shen He's horror, the bisected creatures wriggled, attempting to reform.
Crack—!
Several crisp snapping sounds rang out.
Saiki's psychokinesis crushed the exposed black cores inside each Aragami.
This time, their bodies dispersed like mist—and a wave of refreshing energy surged into Shen He.
He had leveled up.
After being stuck at level 16 for nearly a week, he finally reached level 17.
This was absolutely an EXP farming dungeon!
