Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Birth of a Frozen Legend

The week after Diagon Alley passed in calm rhythm — the gentle hum of summer air, the laughter of friends filling the Valvas mansion, and the ever-present warmth of life surrounding Roy.Yet something extraordinary was about to begin.

In the heart of his study, the System Store pulsed with soft azure light.

[Purchase: Articuno Egg — Origin: Pokémon World — Price: 15,000 System Points]

Roy confirmed the purchase. The air shimmered for a moment, and a crystalline egg materialized before him — translucent like sapphire ice, humming with ancient, elemental energy.Even Dvalin, curled by the window, lifted her head curiously, sensing the power of the egg.

"Another companion," Roy murmured softly, running his fingers across its smooth shell. "Let's welcome a new legend into this world."

Two Days Later – The Hatching

A faint crackling sound echoed through the room as frost bloomed across the marble floor.Everyone gathered — Venelana, Rem, Ram, Albedo, Grayfia, Bela White, Nagini, Daphne, Astoria, and Cassandra — drawn by the sudden surge of cold air.

The egg glowed, releasing a beam of icy light that danced like northern stars. Then, with a soft chirp, a magnificent baby Articuno emerged. Her feathers shimmered in ethereal shades of blue and silver; each flutter of her wings sent tiny snowflakes swirling around the room.

"She's… beautiful," whispered Venelana, eyes wide."Like winter given form," murmured Grayfia, extending her hand gently.

Articuno blinked curiously and tilted her head toward Roy. With a happy chirp, she hopped onto his arm, pressing her cool beak against his cheek.

Roy smiled warmly.

"Welcome to the family, little one. From today, your name is Freyra."

The others gathered closer — Rem and Ram squealed softly, Daphne and Cassandra gazed in awe, and even Nagini, usually calm and composed, couldn't help but smile.

Articuno chirped again, spreading her wings proudly, and at that exact moment, Dvalin flew in through the balcony doors, sensing the aura of another mighty being. The Storm Dragon landed gracefully, her scales gleaming. For a tense moment, everyone held their breath — until Dvalin bowed her head slightly, and Articuno replied with a happy trill.

"Looks like they're already friends," Roy chuckled. "Balance of storm and ice — perfect harmony."

Letters and Friendship

Later that evening, Roy sat at his desk, Articuno perched comfortably on his shoulder as he wrote several letters in elegant script. One was addressed to Hermione Granger, describing his newest magical creature companion, along with a tiny feather sealed in the envelope — a token of trust and friendship.

"She'll probably analyze the feather before even reading the letter," Roy mused with a soft laugh.

He sent the letters through his enchanted phoenix flame post — shimmering embers that transformed into radiant blue light and flew into the night.

Return to Diagon Alley

Two days later, Roy traveled once again to Diagon Alley, this time accompanied by Grayfia and Bela White. The streets buzzed with familiar life — chatter, laughter, and the scent of butterbeer drifting from the Leaky Cauldron.

Their destination: Ollivander's Wand Shop.

The bell above the door chimed softly as Roy stepped in. The elderly wandmaker immediately appeared from behind a stack of parchment, his expression lighting up.

"Ah, Mr. Valvas! You've come for your wand."

Ollivander carefully lifted a slender black case from the counter. When he opened it, the wand inside glimmered like starlit ice and flame.

"Constructed with your Dark Phoenix feather and the Storm Dragon's scale, encased in ancient frostwood. Ten and three-quarters inches. Flexible. A wand of dual natures — light and shadow, rebirth and ruin."

Roy took the wand gently, and the instant it touched his palm, the air around him flared with magic — gold and silver flames swirling in perfect balance before fading into tranquil blue frost.

Ollivander whispered in awe,

"It responds to both creation and destruction… truly, a wand fit for one who walks between worlds."

Roy smiled faintly and gave the wand a graceful flick — a small spark of Genesis Flame danced on his fingertips, pure and white.

"Perfect," he said softly. "Thank you, Mr. Ollivander."

As Roy left the shop, Grayfia noticed the faint shimmer around him — the kind that appeared only when great destinies shifted.

"Your power feels… different, my lord," she said quietly."It's evolving," Roy replied. "The world is changing — and we'll shape it together."

Back at the Mansion

When Roy and his companions returned, Articuno and Dvalin circled joyfully above the mansion's sky, their auras creating a breathtaking dance of lightning and snow. The family watched from below — laughing, cheering, and marveling at the beauty above.

Bela White leaned beside Roy, smiling softly.

"You're collecting legends, you know."

Roy chuckled, eyes following the two mythical creatures.

"No… I'm collecting family."
