The guard ended his call in a second. When he turned, his eyes widened. But not in shock, more like alarm.
And without further thoughts, he bent down into a bow and quickly ran away.
Zimo's mouth dropped open in disbelief behind the mask. The adrenaline became worse with not knowing what was happening.
"Did he mistake me for something else?"
When Zimo turned, his eyes widened the same way as the guard. His heart dropped in fright. Sweaty palms still clinging onto the box.
Frozen in front of a man in a wheelchair, who was staring at him.
He looked like someone in his twenties. He had striking facial features and his hair was tied up in a short ponytail.
"Who are you?" he asked. His voice was calm and smooth.
"I'm here for a delivery", Zimo said, hoping to get a free pass.
"Liar", the man said.
Zimo swallowed hard, but kept his eyes focused.
The person's gaze was overwhelming, like he could see right through Zimo. "Who are you?" he asked again.
