"It is because I love you and can't bear to see you hurt." Alexander answered without batting an eyelid.
Serena's heartbeat quickened, and she darted her eyes,unwilling to look at him.
"You... what... what are you saying?" She stuttered while tucking a strand of her hand behind her ear.
"I'm saying the truth." Alexander took a step close to her, but she took two steps backwards. "I don't know when it started. Perhaps, it's because of the crazy things which happened between us."
He paused, then ran a finger through his hair. "I know it sounds crazy, but I can't think well when you are not in my sight. I love your company and I always feel at peace whenever I see you."
"I have never felt this way for someone before. You're the first."
Serena was about to say something, but Alexander cut in. "Not even Rhea. You are just... different."
"It seems sudden, just like my previous proposal but my thoughts and feelings are genuine."
