Tara stared blankly at the man who rejected her again and again, what was he trying to prove?
" I saved you last night, but I won't be your bodyguard" he said, leaving her face afterwards.
" I have a question" Tara stopped him, pulling a small part of his shirt and stood Infront of him, crossing her arms on her chest.
"Tell me, why can't you be my bodyguard?"
"Is.it.that.hard.for.you?" She gritted the last question while poking his shoulder.
And that reminded Hardin of his special memories of Tara back in their highschool days.
FLASHBACK 8 YEARS AGO~~
"Come on HC, I failed the test again, I need you to tutor me"
"Is.it.that.hard.for.you?" She grit the same last question while poking his shoulder with a cute look that made him agree to her demands immediately.
"Fine, but on one condition" he replied.
"Anything just say it"
"I'll be your only tutor" he said
"No problem, I didn't want anyone else anyway"

"I'm still waiting for my answer" she had the same cute look and those eyes....
They were his weakness.
"None of your business" he coldly replied.
"What? Are you even serious?"
"Unbelievable HC!!!"
The more and more time he spent with her, the more and more he kept liking her, maybe even falling for her.
He was afraid to accept his feelings and felt that the only way they could both survive a heart break is if he kept on pushing her away.
"Nothing personal ma'am, and I'd really appreciate it if you left my house. I'd take it as a thank you for saving you" he harshly said, facing the other side to look away from her eyes that could give him away.
"Fine, I'll leave and never bother you again, but you shouldn't regret this day Hardin Cruz" she said before storming off.
Hardin wished he could stop her and even agree to be her bodyguard, but that would mean he was giving away Tara's place to a woman he knew by the initials TM who kept on breaking the walls of his heart like it was nothing.
Little did he know, it was his Tara he loved and she was just the same.
"I'm sorry" was all he whispered as he watched her leave.
Outside, Tara walked on the road, she always did when she was sad.....
Her heart was broken over and over again
Was she going to give up on the man she vowed she'd get?
She liked Hardin but she was now convinced he'd never like her...
Tears flowed from her eyes and they were too much to bare that she squatted down and cried.
The dominanting, rich and beautiful Tara Montesino had failed to get what she wanted for the second time in her life.
She took a taxi back to her house and fell in her couch,, rememberimg every word he'd said to her before he kicked her out. She switched her phone back on and her notifications showed that her parents had called, especially dad...
" Gosh! I'm late for work" she abruptly remembered before quickly changing freshening up and taking hang over medicine.... leaving for work.
Meanwhile...Hardin also reported back to the hospital after delivering the truck, but his mood was not like the usual, he even wore a mask throughout, which wasn't his normal behavior.
He kept himself busy because whenever he was free, his mind drifted to the hurtful words he said to Tara.
" Boss, what's up with you today? "Gary asked.
"Did you get dumped or did you guys have a lover's quarrel?" He continued to ask, but he didn't say a single word back. Until..
"By the way, I found out who that hot patient was, you won't believe it take a look for yourself" Gary handed him a new file, and he was already curious to find out who she was , he opened the file and it exposed Tara's real identity.
"No!"
"Her name is Tara Montesino, heiress of the Montesinos can you believe it?" Gary asked Hardin who was already in a daze.
He knew this name so well, how could he forget
"TM stands for Tara Montesino"
She already knew who he was and she approached him, but he pushed her away. TARA MONTESINO!!
"Gary, are you sure this information is correct?" He asked just to make sure.
"Yes it's valid,, and now you're talking to me all of a sudden?" Gary wondered.
" Gary cover for me I have to leave" Hardin took off his lab coat and rushed out.
He was beyond happy, atleast he didn't have to choose,, the woman he loved was the same person.
He had to find her! He wasn't going to lose her again twice.
He went to the parking lot and drove off to find her no matter where she'd be.
Tara was currently at her family company handling her work, after she got a scolding from her mom, and Archie who constantly tried to talk to her.
She sat in her office signing some papers, and organise her presentation for the meeting she had in just an hour.
Yes she was hurt! But her focus on her work was undeniable. She was just about to stand up when her phone rang, an unknown caller ID
"Please pick up the phone" Hardin in the other side of the line begged.
But Tara didn't, it could be a spam call. She stepped out with some of her co workers to grab some drinks and snacks.
Hardin had also arrived at their company, and he saw her at a distance. He rushed out of the car and ran towards her direction.
'Tara!!" He called onto her hoping she'd hear him and she did.
She turned around only to spot Hardin running towards her.
"What is he doing here?"
"Tara do you know him??" A co worker asked and before she could reply Hardin had reached her.
"Who are you?" Another co worker asked.
"Hardin Cruz , ma'am Tara's personal bodyguard...."
