What would you do when you found yourself a goodlooking new bodyguard who offers to work for you by himself?
Tara looked at Hardin with a blank expression.
What was he upto now?
"Tara, you didn't tell us you had a good looking new bodyguard! " her co workers exclaimed.
"Could you excuse us please" she implied for them to leave her alone with him.
"Hardin, what do you think you're doing..... didn't you just chase me from your life?"
She was completely confused by his sudden change of heart.
"Ma'am Tara, I....." His sentence stopped midway.
How could he tell her he wanted to get closer to her, just like that
" Did he find out I'm Tara!"
He must have. It's obvious. He even called me by Tara but still I'm curious."
"Why do you suddenly want to be my bodyguard?" She asked, crossing her arms on her chest again.
"I just had time to think, your life was in danger once, and you need protection, "
I need you
" Is that the real reason?" She asked"
"I could also use the job.." he added.
Isn't that reason enough.
" Hardin Cruz, you always find ways to surprise me.....but I still have to work, I'll talk to you after...but you can leave, I'm not forcing you to stay....."Tara said before she walked away back into the building.
I'll wait.
Tara had a meeting to get to, with the other company directors...including her sister and Archie.
She gave her presentation about the new brand of clothes she'd designed...
Her talent was remarkable, and no one could even suspect she already had a separate multi billions business of her own.
"Nice presentation Tara, your father would be very proud of you" one of her dad's friends said.
"I'm just doing my job," she replied.
Irene clearly didn't find her presentation all that impressive.
When the meeting was adjourned, she was the first to head out back to her office, without saying a single word.
Anything she could regret later, especially since this was the company....any slip up and her chance to become CEO could vanish and her love interst, Archie was around.
"Tara, I prepared some lunch in my office, would you mind joining me?" Archie asked approaching her.
Hadn't he had enough.
"Never mind Archie, I have things to do" she replied, not sparing him a single glance before she walked out.
Archie still didn't give up, he followed her out to her office.
"Archie, please...for once can you just listen and leave me alone..." She said.
He kept hovering around her and it was so annoying.
" Have this lunch with me...this one time and I'll gladly let you be" he replied.
" If it will make you leave me alone.. fine let's have this lunch together..." She said before they set out for his office.
Unexpectedly, Irene was also there...in Archie's office.
"Archie, I was waiting for you" she said, with a smile in her face but it vanished as soon as she he saw Tara following from behind him.
"Hi sis! Are you joining us for lunch?" Tara asked, clearly mocking her.
"Uhmmm Irene, whatever you want to discuss, we can do it after, it's lunch time" Archie said, pulling out a seat for Tara.
"Thank you.." she whispered.
The special attention he gave to Tara made her so jealous, especially since Tara didn't even have any interest in him.
She watched as he lay out lunch boxes for her, the lunch was his but it was like he'd prepared it for her. He didn't even care to invite her to lunch.
"You can have whatever you like " he told her.
"Archie, let Irene join us too," she suggested.
She was clear mocking her. She liked Archie but he didn't even invite her to lunch.
Irene wanted to explode, but she kept calm in front of Archie.
They had lunch together and Archie excused himself afterwards.
"You're enjoying this aren't you?" Irene asked her.
"Taking away everything from me" she added.
"Sis! I'm not. You can have Archie all to yourself, I don't mind" Tara replied.
"Liar!!!" Irene snapped at her.
"Irene, I don't want to fight with you even at work, Ive had enough already"
I've almost been kidnapped already, what else can life throw at me.
" It there's nothing else, I'll be in my office" she added, walking away with a radiatnt smile on her face.
She was more than happy, after this, Archie will no longer bother her.

""Archie, you didn't even come to my birthday, won't you even bother making it up to me" Irene and Archie were now alone in his office.
"I'm sorry, but I was busy that day"
Ofcourse he was, he was busy chasing after Tara at the awarding ceremony
" You can still make it up to me like you used to whenever you missed my birthdays" Irene continued trying to convince him.
" Irene, we're still at work we'll talk about that later" Archie's focus was on his laptop not even sparing her a glance.
Tara, Tara, Tara! She's all his thinking about.

Tara was in her office. Through her floor to ceiling glass window, she looked down at Hardin, who was still currently waiting for her.
"This man....he won't leave"
She was still angry about the hurtful words he said to her before.
Her phone rang, again and again. He was calling...but she didn't answer.
There was no way he could enter the building without her approval. She was going to enjoy making him suffer.
She walked back to her desk to continue working.

It was time to get off work, and Tara remembered Hardin was still around, he wouldn't let her go easily.
She had another idea, to pass through the underground parking.
"Just bring my car over here, don't waste my time" she ordered the person on the other end of the line, before hanging up.
"Tara!"
It was Archie, again.
"What are you doing down here?" He asked her.
"I'm waiting for someone, you can go on ahead" she waved her hand, implying he should leave.
"Who exactly are you waiting for?" He asked. He just loved annoying her without even realizing.
"She's waiting for me..." Hardin happened to show up at the right moment.
