Casper stayed silent for a few seconds, deliberating over his choices before deciding to imitate Klein.
"An attempt," with a low nor heavy tone, he spoke calmly.
'An attempt?' Daly thought with horror, she didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
Anderson on the other hand seemed to be amused by the mysterious figure's words.
Daly's voice was low but elegant as she asked, "Might you permit our return, Mister?"
Casper looked at them and chuckled mildly, "Of course, if you make a formal request, you can return this very moment."
Daly's lips pursed, getting ready to request her leave before considering an option. "Sir, since you've brought us here. I think you have something in your mind."
Casper looked at her with amusement, "Yes," he replied.
Anderson's ears pricked up upon hearing his answer. "Mister, might I ask why you called us here?" He muttered, a faint glimmer passing through his eyes.
Casper turned towards him, his lips parting into a smile, "A gathering containing many members of different backgrounds. Congratulations, you are the first of this venture."
Hearing his vague reply, Anderson forced a smile.
Daly continued Anderson's line of questioning, "Sir, what is this gathering going to be about?"
Casper gazed at her intensely, causing her to shift uncomfortably. "Anything you want it to be, information, trade, I don't care."
'Yep, I am cooked! This is not how a God talks. I hope they don't figure out that I'm a fraud!' Casper cursed silently in his mind, 'I really need to end this meeting fast.'
Moreover, his Spirituality was being drained in quite quickly, Casper estimated that he'd only be able to continue the gathering for ten more minutes.
Anderson paused upon hearing his words, to be honest, the idea did appeal to him. Maybe, through this gathering, he might be able to advance quicker.
So, he proactively initiated the conversation.
"I've heard of people recruiting treasure hunters for scouting out and looting a place in the Sea of Ruins. Supposedly there are divine artifacts there which hold Godhood."
He said slowly.
Casper remained still, a smile lingering on his lips. 'Ah, the Sea of Ruins. Isn't that where Klein meets that Aurora Order guy? Or am I wrong?'
He thought, rapping his fingers against the long table.
Daly turned towards Anderson after carefully observing the enigmatic convener.
"That rumour is exaggerated," she said confidently, "The Churches and the military have been scavenging the Sea for years, if there was any Sealed Artifacts that are above Grade 3, it's gone now."
Anderson's eyes narrowed upon hearing the words "Grade 3".
"Evernight or Steam?" He asked, "Judging from the attire, probably Evernight."
Daly raised her head her eyes widened in astonishment, "What gave it away?" She asked quietly.
"No matter how educated a Beyonder is, no buffoon calls a Sealed Artifact Grade 3 — except for official Beyonders. A true Hunter knows their prey."
He said proudly.
"Prey?" Daly asked, raising her eyebrows.
Anderson shrugged, "Figure of speech but by the way you exposed yourself without a thought. I think it fits. A can of wolf fish is probably smarter than you."
Daly's lips twitched as she glanced at the mysterious man with an exaggerated smile and blazing eyes,"You're a good provoker."
"People keep saying that, I don't know why." He said with a grin.
Casper sighed, witnessing their exchange which continued on for a while. He tapped the table, drawing their attention, "Let's keep it civil."
He then quickly followed it up by saying, "Alright, that will be all for today's gathering," he said in a deep voice, "Since you seem opposed in joining this gathering, why don't we do this, I'll give you a week's time to think over it. At this time, next week, I'll convene another gathering. Tell me your decision then."
"By your will." Daly said, bowing respectfully.
"By your will." Anderson said bored, imitating Daly, he had already decided on joining this gathering.
It seemed fun, and moreover, he felt that this gathering would be an important organization in the future.
Then, thinking of something, he asked quickly, "How shall I address you, Sir?"
Casper raised his head, in a calm yet excited tone, he said, "The Emperor."
