Chapter 1 - I’ve Been Reincarnated [1]

*Huh!*

*Where is this place? Where am I?*

Whynne Rowse woke up in a unfamiliar room, the first thing he saw was the beaten ceiling. Sunlight streaming through the windows, he slowly raised his hand to cover his eyes. Whynne's vision slowly adjusted, with shock in his eyes he bluntly stared at his hand. His mind swirled with a dozen questions.

*How is this possible? My hand is that of a child's!*

His questions remained unanswered.

Whynne slowly took in his surroundings.

The room was average in size, with wooden walls along with a rough wooden floor.

It looked nothing like his Morden apartment.

"Damn it my head hurts…"

Whynne tried sitting up straight, but his body was heavy and uncoordinated.

His small muscles ached like hell and his head spun.

Then he collapsed back on the bed, with on his back, feeling disoriented.

*What's going on with me? Could it be that I'm dreaming?*

He pinched his arm to check the theory.

"Ouch!"

He blurted out rubbing the sore spot.

The pain was no help, but it did make him fully aware of his surroundings.

*No, this is definitely real.*

He thought.

Whynne observed the room again, taking in every detail.

Then finally, the pain had left his body making him try to sit upright, this time without the nagging pain.

He rested his hand on his chin, fully gathering his thoughts.

"Arghh…"

He was suddenly hit with a throbbing headache.

He saw flashes of a childhood that wasn't his.

People he'd never seen before.

Places he'd never even visited.

The memories were fragmented and disjointed.

The flashes continued.

He a woman with a warm smile. Then a group of mischievous rugrets all along with a small vibrant village that seemed to be his home.

None of it felt like his own.

It was like watching someone else's life unfold before his eyes.

Then the flashes stopped as suddenly as they began.

Leaving him disoriented and confused.

*Just who in the world we're those people? Or more importantly who's body am I possessing?*

He thought scratching his head in confusion.

Then he paused for a moment, he's face frozen with an unreadable expression.

Then suddenly the corners of his lips began to twitch and curled up with an enigmatic smile.

As he pieced everything together.

*This body, the strange room and these strange memories this could only mean one thing…*

He was breathing heavily as the thoughts formed?

*…I've been Reincarnated!*

The thought sent a rush of adrenaline through his veins.

Whynne couldn't contain his excitement.

He had only seen these things in Webtoons/Webnovels.

Now he him self was in that same situation.

"Haaa… Haaa… Haaa…"

He took a few deep breaths trying to calm himself down.

But it was no use the excitement was simply too much

But the moment was caught short.

Creak! Creak! Creak!

Suddenly the door creaked open and a someone stepped inside.

It was a young beautiful woman.

She had a kind face with soft features and beautiful dark brown eyes, along with long blond hair that tied back into a loose bun. She was wearing a simple yet delicate and elegant dress. She looked like, she was in her mid—twenties

She locked her gaze on him.

Her face a mix of shock and joy.

She immediately rushed to his side, kneeling on the hard wooden floor.

Then she tightly squeezed his hand, as sobs cracked her face as she spoke.

"——XXX——XX—-" ("How is this possible!")

"——XXX——XX——" ("Thank the gods… my son has returned!")

She practically screamed. Her voice muffled as she leaned in for a big hug squeezing his small frame.

He listened to the words, as he struggled to make sense of the sound and syllables.

At first it was a jumbled mess, but then the words began to take shape.

The language became more clear to him, like it was being translated by an unknown force.

It felt more like, he was used to it.

The words poured like water.

*I can… understand her now.*

The woman's cries echoed throughout the whole village her tears fell like poring rain, and resonated with the weight of her emotions.

*Talk about emotional.*

He said playfully.

Whynne couldn't help but feel more uncomfortable, as he immediately recognised the woman.

*She's the woman from those earlier visions. Judging from her actions she's probably the mother of the owner or at least someone close. But why is she crying? Damnit she's putting me in a spot where I have to stay something. Come….on think fast."

He let out a small defeated sigh.

*I'll just have to use my acting skills!*

Whynne smiled, unbeknownst to the woman.

Then he let out a soft almost innocent expression with a hint of confusion.

"M-mom…? Where… am… I…?"

He said, he's voice sounding groggy and disoriented.

"Your home now with mommy!"

The woman wiped off some of her left over tears.

*Nailed it!*

Whynne remarked.

The future was uncertain, but something about it felt promising.
