Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Blending into society

With that unholy experience with IT, Anne realized, staying quite would be best, as IT was planning something...Not that it mattered, if IT wanted to kill her she wouldn't be here now.

She woke up early, almost too early, but after all, it's her first day of work, she shouldn't be late, even if that means having to put on a facade to trick everyone daily, doesn't really matter, she's got bigger things to worry about...

"Ah hello! Quite early on your first day, eh?" Michael voice echoed from across the room. Her gloomy voice tried to answer but only came out in a messy response. "Y-yeah, It's a p-pleasure to work here..."

"Still dense as ever, huh?" Michael chucked trying to make small talk once again. Suddenly he said, "Sorry, I forgot last time, maybe you're allergic to greetings or maybe allergic to fun? Heh.." Hearing that, Anne tried to chuckle, to match his tone, to sound... Normal.

"Well, you don't have to arrive this early, you just need to arrive before 9AM, remember, don't over work yourself, I don't want my employee to blackout in the middle of shift." He said softly, trying to convey his worry to her in a friendly way.

"W-well, I know..." Anne's voice cracked, "It's just that its my first day at work here..." She put up a smile, to make her more believable, "Well, can't blame a worker for working, eh?" Michael laughed.

As it was the first day working there it felt quite long, the work was quite easy, just the office felt... Empty, with only a few workers, yet they all barely talked, it felt, lonely—only making her feel lonelier with her current situation.

"Ah right, you're probably just back from the mental hospital yes? Well, no mean to be rude but I think you would need money... I can lend you one thousand maybe?" Michael whispered quietly in her ear at the end of her shift, it surprised her, this once fearful target became so caring in a day? "Impossible" She thought to herself, even if THAT wasn't her thought...

After her work, she finally returned to her old apartment, it was once so beautiful—so comforting. Yet now, it was only in shambles, the drywalls were peeling of, the once loving home became a nightmare.

Anne tore through her old belongings, finally she saw it... the picture of her marriage, that person, the man in black, she couldn't remember him—yet she can't forget him...

That face, every detail screamed, everything about it was unhinged, she ripped it apart a while ago, yet it came back, it was like a haunting image following her every step.

Her vision blurred her world changed, then she saw IT once again, yet this time calm, relaxed, almost as if she had already knew what was to happen...

"HAHAHA, of course, of everyone, someone like you had been able to spill my plans..." IT howled, Anne wasn't scared, she never was. "Well, we're going to have to renovate aren't we?"

IT disappeared along with the world.

In a blur, Anne was already at the local market—holding a knife, it was as if IT was controlling her, to make her wishes come true, yet in a twisted way...

Well, she had money anyways, why do what others want, even if it's her body that forced her, she went to the first stall, the second, then the third.

Nothing looked appetizing, yet looking up, she was hungry for that meat, knife in hand—she wanted to tear through that human body like a wild animal.

With all her might she controlled herself, her primal wanting, yet she couldn't help herself...

At the fateful stall, far away from any light, there stood a girl, she looked mature, enough for Anne's hunger at the least...

Anne charged, knife strokes so cruel yet so perfect, with deathly precision she never learned, the girl was torn to shreds.

Anne was pleased, even knowing that she might have cause someone the pain she had to go through. It was gnarly, her teeth bit through the soft flesh, her hands gripping the body.

Her hunger hadn't gone away...
