Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Another hell?

The month had passed, she awoken, behind rusty bars that looked like they would snap at the smallest pressure, her arms were tied by chains of an unknown metal, her mouth was sown shut by an invisible thread.

"Ya finally awake?" A voice echoed through the hallways, her mouth was released, allowing her to speak. "You said you would let me live, yet killed me for the month?" Anne questioned. The creature responded, "At the very least it wasn't painful, now was it? I could obliterate you with a single thought." Its voice calm, sweet—almost too sweet, it was dripping with unfiltered malice, it was like a rotten apple offered with a bright smile.

"Ah, anyways, should we start with the ritual?"

Those words dug deep, it pulled the fear out of Anne, the fear enveloped her, it consumed her. The bars were split in half infront of her, her restraints opened yet she didn't move, she wasn't calm, it was just that she doesn't dare to move, after all, she knows that the thing before her didn't lie, it could destroy her with a thought. Her instincts controlled her body, shaking and trying to stand up, yet this time her will crushed it, controlled it, it was her first time actually gaining control of her body.

Her body turned limp, the being's every footstep was like a mountain crushing blow, yet there wasn't any sound, her body floated up with a flick of its wrist, she wanted to scream, yet she muffled herself.

It dragged her through the narrow hallway as screams filled the air, every cell she looked upon was filled with dismembered humans—at least those humanoid creatures, she couldn't tell what she was looking at, whether to feel empathy or disgust, those things in the cells were but weeping ghouls of hatred, one had no jaw, one could only rock back and forth till the end of its life.

The, red light filled the room, the alter was glooming infront of her, she was set on it, she saw death's stare, gazing into her soul, yet she couldn't do anything, she could only lay on that, reminiscent of her past, she looked at the ceiling one last time.

Her eyes widened slowly, confused, she was in another realm once again, but this time the environment felt familiar, its like she had already saw it once before, no vegetation, no nothing, yet far in the distance, she saw an entity, a creature of sorts.

The dark rivers flowing under the foggy night sky, taking the souls of everything with it.
