One lonely night I was on patrol at the outskirts of castle when I heard a strange sound by some bushes at first I suspect that it was just some animal or something as usual but tonight I had a strange feeling to just check what it is call it a warrior sense or something like that
But when I approached the bush I heard a faint squick but not from animal no this one sounded like a human
"Hey, get out of that bush I can hear you!"
I shouted and pointed my torch at it
"Do prdele."
I heard faintly from the bush.
"Com on man I wont beat you if yo go willingly so just"
I stepped closer to the bush
"Come out"
As i push the leaves aside and pointed my torch at the scoundrel
"Princess!?"
"Not so loud you moron"
There was a girl in black cloak with bright blond hair and cat ears but she was missing one and had a scar across her lip.
At the outskirts of a castle were the most powerful clans in the country, princesses were just hiding in the bushes.
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanted some fresh air?"
She said almost as a question
"Really?"

She abruptly swirled up
"So as a princess of Benešovici I command you to go back to your patrol at this instant!"
She said with such fierce in her eyes that a normal servant would absolutely obey her but
"Yeah not happening spitfire"
I said with a grin
The scowl on her face was priceless
"Y You know not obeying commands can get you beheaded."
She said as a last hope.
"Yeah about that. I was gonna ask why a princess of all the uptight assholes is sneaking around at the outskirts of a castle in the middle of the night. But I think I know the answer, you are running away aren't you?"
i duck to mockingly look at her
"I …."
"Shhh I know what you wanna say, some flat-out lie that you come up at the spot. No, I want to hear the truth why you want to run away, sunshine."
she started at me for long second and said
"You know what fuck it. They are neglecting me, more specifically my studies. I won't tell you my life story but I want to become a cleric. I tried to negotiate it with my father but he said that it's not a job for nobles like me, but after some begging and emotional blackmail I bargained for a cleric teacher. But obviously dad god the most drunk and fucking dum cleric beyond the mountains and valleys there is. And I'm pretty sure you can figure the rest out smartass."
i stayed silent for a moment
she crossed her arms
"Or you lost your wit, oh virtuous knight."
I chuckled
"No, I think I lost my mind."
i breath out
"Yeah I am convinced."
I grab her shoulders
"im running with you princess or should i say Kateřina."
