Martin's pov
"Even villians have a story..."
"PROJECT SNIFFER" was supposed to be a secret hidden from the rest of the world but thanks to the purple Lagoon, the world would soon know about it.
I rubbed my face in frustration
"Amir are we there yet?" I asked
"Almost"
I watched through the window as the car speed pass tall trees, bushes and loud screams of wild animals. We were in a forest, where the oracle's headquarter was located. The car finally arrived in front of a sealed cave with engravings all over it. I took out my phone and dailed a code, a cracking sound came through the cave and the large sealed door opened with dust coming from the inside. Amir stepped on the pedal and drove the car into the cave while the door sealed shut again. We kept going through a straight path in the cave that was lit up by dimmed bulbs. When we finally got to the parking area, Amir packed the car alongside the other cars belonging to members of the oracle. I waited for Amir to help me out of the car since the wheelchair was no more
"Easy" I hissed as Amir opened the door and helped me out of the car
"Sorry sir"
I roped one arm around his shoulder as he guided me to the meeting chamber where the others were waiting
The meeting chamber was a large grey painted hall with dim lights, no windows, one huge metallic entrance door and a wall filled with computer screens. In the centre of the room was a round table and seats where the members were already seated. The oracle was a secret government group made up of the most powerful men and women in Africa, it was founded by the former governor of Lagos state and they dealt in many secret projects like cloning of dead governors to avoid transfer of political power, bombing events to distract the public from major issues, drug trafficking, human trafficking and so on. When it came to "slient but deadly", the oracle took the crown. The current members were Luna, a powerful government official from south Africa, Kawme the Ghanaian assassin and scientist who did most of the cloning and technical works in the oracle, Ada the fat igbo iron lady, Bawa an ex military commander and finally me. Everyone turned towards me as Amir helped me settle into my seat
"Martins what exactly happened to project sniffer?" Kwame asked in his thick Ghanaian accent
"That's what I should be asking you guys" i said looking at their faces
"He's supposed to be dead, we handled everything that night. Didn't we?" Bawa said nervously
He had always been the weakling in the group, hiding behind powerful men with nothing but his money to contribute
"Clean your sweats Bawa, we handled everything. I was the one in charge of the operation that night, i made sure he and other remaining evidence was wiped out" Ada said glaring at Bawa
"Then how come he's alive and terrorising the whole city?" Bawa fired back
Ada kept quiet as she sipped her wine
"Looks we failed, he's really alive" Luna said as she pet her favourite black cat that she carried everywhere
"We didn't fail, we can't. The oracle never fails" i said angrily
"Then explain how Kelvin is still alive, he even has his own gang now. I wouldn't be surprised if half of his gang were from the village we tried to wipe out" Kwame said
"Something must have gone wrong that night because there's no logical way to explain all these" i said feeling confused
Everyone kept quiet for a while until Luna finally spoke
"What do you think he wants?"
"Revenge"a loud voice said
We all gasped in shock as we looked around the hall trying to find the source of the voice
"Who the hell said that?" Kwame yelled as he brought out his gun
The rest of the gang quickly brought out their guns and got ready to shot the invader
"Easy gentlemen and ladies, i haven't even started and you're already afraid. Hahaha bunch of weaklings hiding behind their power and influence" the voice laughed in mockery
I cocked my gun and started shooting in all directions, the voice only laughed more
"Kelvin is that you?" I yelled still shooting
"Hahaha i no longer go by that name" the voice got closer
"Well whatever name you go by now, can you at least come out and face us instead of hiding like a coward" i hissed
"I have no need to hide, i can smell your fear from over here bastards" he hissed back
"Martin stop shooting, let's hear him out" kwame grabbed my gun from me
"Hey..." I protested
"Hmmm" kwame glared at me "let's hear him out, it's obvious we're on the loosing team"
"Yes, listen to your friend Martin" he laughed
"Kelvin please what do you want?" Luna said
"Don't call me by that name" the voice was now very close
A dark figure with nothing but his fierce eyes showing, slowly walked out of a dark corner and came towards us. I stared in horror because the figure didn't look human.
"What are you?" I stammered
"The thing you made me to be" he smirked
"K... kelvin" luna stammered
"It's mon'itei, Kelvin died a long time ago. I'm what's left of him"
"How are the hell are you still alive and how did you get into this place without security noticing" Bawa was now sweating 😅
"Questions for another day. Right now, I'm here to finish the work you evil bastards started"
"Kelvin..."
"Don't call me by that name" he banged his hand on the table angrily
The hall shook a little and we all marveled in fear. This guy was definitely not human, just a purple monster wreaking of power and fear. My legs were now shaking
"We're going to play a little game and the whole city will be our witness" he smiled
"If it's revenge you want, get it over with and just leave the city alone!" Ada yelled
"Hmmmm it's not just revenge that I want, i want to play a game with you guys"
"What type of stupid games?" Kwame said
"You've already witnessed phase 1, phase 2 will soon be played out. Right now, you should be praying that I kill you cause you have no idea what's coming for all of you and your family" he hissed
"If you're expecting us to fold our arms and just watch you ruin our lives, then..." I glared at him
"Tsk tsk, no not at all. I want you to fight back, by all means please do. But just know you're going down" he laughed
We all just watched him as he started walking towards a dark corner, like a demon possessed man i quickly grabbed my gun from kwame and shot his back. But the purple bastard swiftly caught the bullet with his finger without even looking back.
"Oh God" i gasped
The others stared in shock
"Don't try that again governor, i might not be merciful next time. Oh by the way miss Luna, i left a little gift for you back at home. Hahaha" with that he vanished into the dark
"What does he mean?" Ada stared worriedly at Luna
Luna just shrugged, her phone suddenly beeped. She took it and her face suddenly became pale as she looked into the screen
"Luna what's wrong?"
