Shinju's hair was soft and smooth, making one want to gently caress it again. Akira suppressed the urge and lightly patted her head.
"Speaking of which, Shinju, aren't you bothered by me being close to Sajuna?"
A sister like Shinju, by all accounts, should have a bit of a sister-complex, right?
Why does it feel like she's always helping me out?
"Akira-kun is a good person," Shinju said, looking up, her expression much brighter.
"Besides, my sister really likes Akira-kun too," Shinju unexpectedly revealed Sajuna's secret.
"Mm, I know," Akira nodded.
"Eh, Akira-kun knows?" Shinju exclaimed in surprise. She had thought Akira-kun hadn't noticed her sister's feelings yet.
"Of course, I know," Akira said, waving his hand. "Sajuna's acting is so obvious, it could only fool someone emotionally dense."
"How could it fool me?" Akira said proudly. "Even though Sajuna always says cold things, her feelings and actions are always warm."
"She's clearly happy to be praised but still pretends not to care. She's clearly delighted with the food but still puts on a normal expression. Sajuna is truly too cute."
"I also think Big Sister is super cute."
"Then why hasn't Akira-kun confessed yet? I think if Akira-kun confessed, my sister would probably accept."
Akira nodded. "I think so too, but Shinju, I don't think confessing too soon is a good idea."
"Shinju, if a girl starts dating a boy after only knowing him for a short time, she can easily get hurt," Akira instructed Shinju. "After all, not all boys are like me."
"I think, if I had a daughter, I definitely wouldn't want her to date a boy she'd only just met, because you wouldn't know his personality or other things."
"So, as a boy, I can't be a hypocrite. I need to let Sajuna get to know me better," Akira said, then boasted to Shinju, "Sajuna will definitely like me even more once she gets to know me."
He had to take on the responsibility of an adult.
"Akira-kun is truly gentle. My sister will definitely be happy."
After their conversation, Akira walked into the living room to pack his bag, preparing to leave.
Sajuna, hearing the sound, emerged from the bedroom. Her oversized T-shirt couldn't hide her smooth, long legs as she stood by the doorway, watching Akira pack.
"Sajuna, go back and rest. I'm leaving too," Akira said.
"Mm."
"See you tomorrow!"
"See you tomorrow."
"Akira-kun, be careful on the way!"
"Got it!"
May 23rd, Wednesday, Exams.
The subjects for today's exams were Basic Chemistry, Social Informatics, and General Japanese.
The Basic Chemistry questions were all very simple. He was naturally good at science questions, so he did them with ease.
Social Informatics was a subject he was encountering for the first time, but because the review scope was quite broad, covering various topics, he managed to fill the entire test paper, albeit with some effort. There shouldn't be any major problems.
As for General Japanese, a large portion of it was classical Japanese literature. Having been tormented by classical Japanese in his previous life, he naturally found these questions easy to handle, and he submitted his paper without any trouble.
After finishing the morning exam, Akira stretched and glanced at Wakana's seat, finding that he had already left at some point.
Marin, from the front row, walked over and asked with a worried expression, "Akira-kun, is Gojo-kun really okay?"
"He should be fine," Akira estimated.
"Wakana is probably adjusting his own condition; he hasn't told me anything either," Akira said. "Sorry, I have to go. There's someone else I need to take care of."
"Eh? Akira-kun." Marin was about to stop Akira, who was trying to leave, but he dodged past her and ran off with his bag.
The taste of lying is truly unpleasant!
He also had to suppress the urge to boast about his girlfriend, Sajuna; otherwise, if Marin found out, he didn't know how long she would pester him.
Akira thought this as he quickly left the school and headed towards the station.
He still had to cook for Sajuna this afternoon, so he needed to hurry, especially since Shinju couldn't come back to take care of Sajuna at noon either.
"Ding-dong!"
"Sajuna, good afternoon!" Akira greeted Sajuna, who opened the door for him, with his school bag slung over his shoulder.
"Good afternoon," Sajuna said, her eyes unfocused.
"How are you feeling today?" Akira took off his outdoor shoes and looked up at Sajuna beside him.
"Much, much better."
"That's good then, make sure to get plenty of rest," Akira smiled, then put down his bag. "Sajuna, what do you want for lunch?"
"Anything, anything is fine."
"Then Sajuna, just wait in the living room!"
Akira said, opening the refrigerator and looking at the ingredients.
"There aren't many ingredients left in the fridge. I should have bought some at the supermarket when I came," Akira thought.
"Sajuna, can we have omurice for lunch?" Akira asked Sajuna. The ingredients weren't that plentiful, so he could only make some simple dishes.
He took out the leftover half carrot and half onion from yesterday, slowly diced them, and swept them to one side of the cutting board for later use.
He lit the stove, poured a little cooking oil into the pan, and added the chopped ingredients. Instantly, the aromas of various ingredients, mixed by the oil, formed a unique fragrance. He slowly poured in the already prepared rice and gently stir-fried the rice in the pan.
Since it was his most proficient dish, Akira's movements were somewhat artistic and casual.
After a while, when the fried rice was done, he took a few eggs from the refrigerator, cracked them into a bowl, sprinkled a small pinch of salt into it, and slowly stirred the egg mixture evenly.
Finally, he poured the egg mixture into a non-stick pan heated on low, slowly spread it into an omelet, wrapped the fried rice with the omelet, and a serving of omurice was ready.
Akira slowly cleaned up the kitchen, arranged the plating, and brought it to Sajuna.
"Try it."
"Delicious."
"Sajuna, can you say it differently? I always feel like you're just humoring me, and it makes me lose confidence."
Sajuna's movements clearly hesitated for a moment, and a blush appeared on her face. "Akira-kun's food has a very good color and tastes very good."
She hesitated for two seconds, then finally turned her head and still said that one sentence.
"I really like it."
Akira smiled contentedly as if he had completed the ultimate mission.
"I like it very much too."
