Chapter 20 - [20]: Daily Life

May 25th, Friday, the last day of exams.

Sajuna's cold was almost gone, and she was back at school, which meant Akira no longer had an afternoon destination.

He had originally planned to spend more time with Sajuna during this period, but unexpectedly, due to her illness, their relationship had progressed by leaps and bounds.

For a moment, Akira felt a pang of longing if he didn't see Sajuna for even a single day.

Akira thought about this as he looked at Wakana in front of him. His expression was still unstable, indicating that the pressure from the recent exams and making clothes was simply too much for him.

However, Akira had no intention of comforting Wakana, as in the original plot, Wakana also managed to finish the clothes through his own efforts.

The quality of the clothes was enough to make Sajuna "fall in love at first sight."

It was the kind of feeling that made people think, "I must wear this person's clothes!"

This was probably the feedback from the effort Wakana poured into this outfit during that time!

The first subject was World History, the second was English, and the third was Home Economics.

Just as easily as the previous days, Akira leisurely finished the exercises and, after handing in his paper, fell into deep thought.

Where should I go today?

Sajuna was still at school for classes, and his part-time job at the restaurant didn't start until the evening.

Akira thought for a moment. With his current social circle, if he wasn't planning to stay home and sleep or read, then his only option was to help Wakana make clothes.

This was a perfect reason to make Sajuna notice the cosplay outfit Wakana was making in advance!

Moreover, because he helped make the cosplay outfit this time, he would also be able to lend a hand the next time a cosplay outfit was made.

Having understood this key point, as soon as the morning exams ended, Akira ran to Wakana's desk. Looking at Wakana, who was packing his things, he said, "Wakana, are you still making clothes recently?"

"Hmmm, ha-ah." Wakana yawned and then nodded.

"I'll come help you this afternoon. Coincidentally, I also need to learn tailoring skills," Akira inquired. "I won't cause you any trouble."

Wakana was surprised. "No, I'm happy that Akira-kun wants to help me, and besides, Akira-kun isn't completely clueless about tailoring."

"It's just that there's still a lot of tailoring work left." Wakana said awkwardly. "Moreover, according to Kitagawa-san, the Anime Convention is the day after tomorrow, and I'm still worried about whether I can finish the clothes."

"Then we need to work even harder on this outfit together!" Akira nudged Wakana's arm. "Come on, let's hurry and go."

Marin, who was at the front of the classroom, habitually looked back, only to see Akira and Wakana leaving the classroom in a hurry with their school bags.

Gojo-kun, what's wrong?

Why don't you even have time to say hello to me these days?

Marin thought with a bit of frustration. He was a friend who had finally approved of her hobbies, and they hadn't even spent much time together. Yet, he seemed to be disappearing from her high school life.

Marin sighed. Sugaya Naho, with a lollipop in her mouth, walked over and smiled at Kitagawa. "Marin, want to go to karaoke together?"

Rion and Osora, next to Naho, also looked at Marin. "Exams are finally over, let's celebrate."

"Okay!" Marin turned her head, looked at her friends in front of her, and smiled broadly. "Karaoke!"

Sugaya Naho also raised her lollipop and said, "Yay!"

Then she looked at Marin's expression and asked, "Marin, what are you looking at?"

"Marin seems a bit distracted lately too," Rion added.

"It's nothing, nothing at all." Kitagawa waved her hand, put her hands on her hips, and laughed. "Exams are over, my mind is just full of happiness!"

Although she said that, her brows unconsciously furrowed.

Gojo-kun, did he go to visit his grandfather again?

Similar to Marin in the classroom, Wakana was also particularly conflicted right now.

The reason was that the Anime Convention was the day after tomorrow, and the progress on the clothes he promised to make was still far behind.

So, he definitely wouldn't be able to rest for the next two nights.

Wakana secretly made up his mind, clenching his fists tightly.

"Wakana, what parts of the clothes are still missing?" Akira inquired.

"Most of the clothes are done, but there are still various ornaments and interlinings on the clothes that haven't been made, especially the patterns on the headpiece that I haven't sewn together." Wakana said in a low voice.

As soon as the two stepped into Wakana's room, Akira was shocked by the mess inside. Scattered fabrics were everywhere on the floor, and the only spaces left were just enough for a person to step, aside from the sleeping area, which hadn't been taken over.

Akira instinctively took out his phone and took a picture. This kind of sight, he had to save it.

This photo, released at the right time, could add fuel to or step on the gas for the feelings between Wakana and Marin.

"Eh?! Akira-kun, why are you taking pictures? Don't you feel uncomfortable?" Wakana said in a panic. "There's nothing to photograph in such a messy scene."

"I'm just documenting it. Wakana, you've really worked hard!" Akira said, then walked in.

"Alright, let's start working!"

"Okay, Akira-kun."

Wakana straightened his expression, calmed down, stepped into the bedroom, and sat cross-legged on the floor.

"How can I help you?" Akira asked, finding scattered tools on the floor.

"Akira-kun, just help me sew some simple parts. I'll handle the parts that require complex craftsmanship," Wakana said, picking up a piece of fabric and starting to cut it with scissors.

"Akira-kun, for this part, use the second sewing method I taught you last time to sew them together."

"And for this part, use the third sewing method: sew from the beginning to halfway, and then wait for me to handle it!"

Akira followed Wakana's instructions, slowly sewing the semi-finished products in his hands, and then handing them over to Wakana to process.

For a moment, he felt a bit flustered, but their speed was slowly increasing.

Wakana had been busy like this for several days!

This kind of work was truly complex and repetitive!

If he didn't have enough passion in his heart, it would definitely be difficult to persevere.

He was truly a strong adult.

Akira thought silently to himself: He's truly an admirable person!
