After being plunged into darkness for just a few seconds, I quickly felt two beams of white light as if trying to pierce through my eyes, forcing me to tightly shut them again.
A moment later,I cautiously opened my eyes and found myself already inside the game.
In the upper left corner of my vision appeared my game account name,level, and a green health bar (HP). The upper right corner showed the real-world time. The lower left corner had three rectangular text icons labeled "Backpack", "Map", and "Team".
I stood up,shrugged my shoulders, and habitually stretched my arms straight up to acclimatize to being in the game.
I accidentally caught a glimpse of my reflection in the windowpane:white shirt, dark gray blazer, dress pants, and black shoes.
"When did I change into this outfit that looks so much like a school prefect's uniform?"I asked myself in surprise.
I thought back carefully...
"I never changed my equipment!"I stated with 100% certainty.
Feeling that something was off, I double-clicked the green health bar in the upper left corner to open the character information window and check my account details.

A rectangular virtual window appeared about 30 centimeters in front of my line of sight. Not only did it display an account and character information that wasn't from my "War Simulation" game, but the character info window in "War Simulation" didn't look like this with blue background and white text either!
Why is this happening?Could it be a game error?
After closing the virtual window,I quickly scanned my surroundings. There was a teacher's desk and whiteboard at the front, neatly arranged desks and chairs in the middle, and a bulletin board at the back.
Classroom... School?
"War Simulation"is an adventure game set in a fantasy world; it shouldn't have realistic school scenes like this. Moreover, the special event in "War Simulation" isn't about entering a school campus!
From the golden building pattern game icon I clicked initially,to the bound account skipping the login interface and entering the game directly, and now the surrounding scene and this outfit...
All of this probably isn't a game error, but rather, this simply isn't "War Simulation" at all.
So, did I log into the wrong game?
I extended the index and middle fingers of my left hand, held them still in the air for 5 seconds, then swiped gently to the right. This was the gesture to summon the emergency game exit window.
A prompt box, visible only to me, popped up in front of my eyes: Are you sure you want to exit the game?
I glanced unintentionally at the time display in the upper right corner; it was already 2:10.
Having taken over 10 minutes and still not entered "War Simulation," I had definitely missed the chance to team up with other players to be the first group to defeat the event's final boss.
"Since I've already missed it, I might as well just play this game!" This thought suddenly occurred to me, so I pressed the "Cancel" option on the prompt box.
"What game is this?" I wondered aloud, walking casually around the classroom, feeling very curious.
"Hello, classmate. I am Chong Shan Xuan, the novice guide for the game 'Campus Adventures.' Welcome to the Prefect Corps."
How did a voice suddenly appear? Oh my, it startled me!
This Non-Player Character (NPC) standing to my left, wearing a neat dark green blazer and having long brown hair, answered unhurriedly.
'Campus Adventures'... That name sounds so familiar, I feel like I've heard it somewhere before.
"This is the Prefect Corps activity room. You can purchase equipment from the various committee members, learn skills, simulate battles, and also help the various team leaders complete tasks." NPC Chong Shan Xuan paused, blinking twice. "May I ask if you need me to explain the game controls for 'Campus Adventures' and give you a tour of the activity room?"
"No need, thank you."
I rejected Chong Shan Xuan's novice guidance, deciding to explore this game on my own...
