"Alright, I agree! Let's do it!"
"As you wish."Shenron's blood-red eyes flashed, and a crimson beam shot straight into Broly's body. Broly instantly sensed two new sets of instructions appear in his mind—ways to use two special abilities.
"Since your wish has been granted… farewell."Shenron's enormous body blazed with light once more before splitting apart into seven Dragon Balls, which blasted off in different directions like cannon fire.
Broly spotted the Four-Star Ball's trajectory, shot forward in a burst of speed, and appeared right in front of it. He reached out, snatched the stone-like Dragon Ball from the air, then dropped down in front of Goku and handed it over.
"Goku, here's your Four-Star Ball. It'll turn back to normal in a year."
"Thanks, Broly!"Goku gratefully accepted it. He knew that with his current strength, there was no way he could've caught it before it flew out of sight.
"Broly, that skill you wished for—Instant Transmission—what is that exactly? Shenron said even gods use it?" Bulma walked over, curiosity written all over her face.
"If you wanna see it, I'll show you. Both of you, grab my left arm."
Once Goku and Bulma held on tight, Broly placed his right index and middle finger to his forehead and silently said: Move.
Whoosh! The three of them vanished on the spot and reappeared on the tiny island where Master Roshi lived.
"Whoa! That's insane! You just… showed up here!"Bulma and Goku were stunned. Goku practically sparkled with envy, but as usual, his lack of strength made learning it impossible—for now.
Just like when they first visited, Master Roshi was lying on his beach chair with a magazine covering his face. Hearing noise, he sat up and blinked. It was Broly and the others.
"That's strange… If it was just Broly, that brat, I'd understand not sensing him. But how'd the other two sneak up on me too? Have I really gotten that out of shape?" the old man muttered to himself.
Broly greeted Master Roshi first, then explained who Goku was and that he hoped to leave him here to train.
Learning that Goku was the grandson of his first apprentice, Roshi looked at him with immediate fondness. Goku also said he wanted to train under Roshi—after all, his grandpa, the Ox-King, and Broly had all trained under him. Especially Broly, who had surpassed the master himself and become Roshi's proudest disciple.
Broly also knew that before long, that bald kid Krillin would show up to become a student too. So he wasn't worried about Goku getting lonely.
Before leaving, Broly called Goku aside."Goku, train your tail more. Right now it's too weak—that's a deadly weakness for you. After the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, when you go out on your training journey, climb Korin Tower and learn the Sky Dance Technique from me."
After asking Master Roshi for directions to Korin Tower and his sister Baba's place, Broly said goodbye and took Bulma back toward West City.
They were mid-flight when Erha's voice rang in Broly's mind:
Since Boss has fully activated the Points Earning Function, the system is awarding Boss 1000 bonus points. After activation, the system will also automatically absorb energy and generate 5 points a day.
Hearing that, Broly felt like all the time spent hunting Dragon Balls was finally paying off. Jackpot! He had originally thought unlocking the Points Earning Function alone was great, but now he had an extra 1000 points—and 5 free points every day. That's 150 a month, 1800 a year. Finally, no more staring longingly at the system store with zero points to spend.
"Hey, Erha… why did you ask me to get Baba's location again? Do I need her to predict something?"
Boss will know when the time comes. With me here, this surprise will be even bigger than unlocking the point system. It's a benefit that'll carry you all the way to awakening your Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline.
Erha's secrecy only made Broly itch with curiosity. What kind of "surprise" could help him all the way to Super Saiyan?
As Broly and Bulma approached a city near West City, he saw police cars speeding below, chasing after a blonde girl on a motorcycle. A gust of wind blew her bangs up, tickling her nose. She sneezed—and her hair instantly turned from blonde to blue.
Broly immediately recognized the scene. A girl who was gentle, sweet, hardworking, and polite… or, depending on the sneeze, a violent, gun-toting berserker.
It was Launch—one of the few major female characters in early Dragon Ball.
Thinking about her, Broly remembered something from his past life. If you marry Launch… isn't that basically a buy-one-get-one-free deal? Two personalities, two wives…
He shook his head violently. What the hell am I even thinking!? When did I get this dirty!?
Still, she needed saving. In the original story, the blonde Launch fell for Tien at the Tenkaichi Budokai. Tien knew how she felt, but he was too obsessed with martial arts to care about anything else. He avoided her feelings, Launch eventually understood, and after staying with him for a while she left. She'd occasionally visit, but eventually vanished completely.
She only resurfaced once—in Dragon Ball Z, during the Spirit Bomb scene against Kid Buu, doing delivery work or something.
Sigh… another poor girl abandoned by Cupid and Cupid's lazy mother. Fell for the wrong guy and ended up with a tragic lonely life.Broly occasionally wondered—half joking, half not—if Tien rejected her because of Chiaotzu…
Honestly, Launch was a character Broly felt pretty bad for. From Z onward, Toriyama basically erased her presence. If Toei hadn't added that cameo, she wouldn't have appeared at all.
Broly told Bulma to keep going and then dropped downward. In her blue-haired state, Launch didn't have her wild personality or her gun-fighting skills. She was in danger—one stray bullet or one arrest and she'd be in serious trouble.
Broly swooped down, scooped her into his arms, and shot back into the sky toward Bulma's home. His speed was so fast that the police had no idea what happened—they only knew the robber had vanished right in front of them.
