Synopsis
A young girl, who was about to face an important exam, was suddenly transmigrated into the Type-Moon world. Not only that—she found herself inside the body of the so-called Princess of the Root. Manaka Sajyou. However, she soon realized the truth. She had no connection to the Root at all. Worse still, her talent in magecraft was only average. Then why? Why did everyone keep praising her as a genius? One day, a city was engulfed in flames. The one who repaired it was clearly someone else—so why was she the one receiving the most credit? “I didn’t do anything. She was the one who contributed the most,” a young man said calmly. Who? What? How? Why did everyone keep misunderstanding her?! (Edit:I don't know how to make proper synopsis, so I'll leave this just like that)

Chapter 1 - Prologue

London, England — The Clock Tower.

In front of Classroom one of Twelve Lord of the clock tower, the El-Melloi classroom...

A Japanese girl stepped out of the classroom.

"Miss Sajyou! Miss Sajyou!"

Suddenly, a girl's voice called out.

The Japanese girl, Manaka sajyou, looked over in confusion and saw that it was a girl calling her.

"Who are you?"

Manaka looked at the girl, puzzled. She didn't seem to recognize her.

But the girl appeared a bit nervous and, after taking a good look at the "Miss Sajyou" she admired, felt a surge of joy in her heart: It looks like the rumors are true—Miss Sajyou really is approachable.

"Miss Sajyou, I… I have something I'd like to ask you," the girl said shyly, blushing.

"What is it?" Manaka sajyou replied with a smile.

"It's about my magecraft. I always feel like something's off when I try to cast spells. Miss Sajyou, do you think you might have time to give me some guidance?"

The shy girl quickly explained, "My teacher says I'm not establishing a good connection with the magical foundation during casting, but I've been thinking about it for so long and still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong…"

The shy girl looked at Manaka with hopeful eyes.

"I see…" Manaka smile froze for a moment before she seemed to consider it thoughtfully.

"Alright then—how about this? Come to my dorm on Sunday afternoon. I'll teach you then."

"Thank you so much, Miss Sajyou!" the shy girl bowed gratefully.

Manaka gave her a small smile and turned to leave.

As she watched Manaka walk away, the shy girl finally showed a look of joy. "I did it!"

"I can't believe Sajyou Manaka agreed so easily," her friend beside her said in surprise.

"The rumors were right—Miss Sajyou really is my idol. She's so approachable and kind," the shy girl said, grinning.

Her friend looked puzzled. "But… there are so many geniuses in the Clock Tower, and most of them are arrogant beyond belief. They're so busy with their own training that they don't have time to help someone like us. Even our teachers barely pay attention to us since we lack talent."

"And besides, Manaka Sajyou is the direct disciple of the Second Magic onwer. How can she be so easygoing?"

"Hearsay can't compare to what you see with your own eyes. Hmph, see that? Miss Sajyou is different from all the other magi!"

The shy girl pouted slightly. "The other geniuses at the Clock Tower all come from noble families and have undergone harsh magical training since childhood. Miss Sajyou is different! She's been acknowledged by all the Lords of the Clock Tower as the unrivaled prodigy and the one most likely to lead the Clock Tower in the future!"

Her friend nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I've heard that too. Manaka Sajyou comes from a magical family in the Far East—Japan—and her lineage only goes back three generations. It's incredible that such a short magical lineage produced a prodigy like her."

"And I also heard that Lorelei Barthomeloi, the heir of the Barthomeloi family, actually lost to Sajyou Manaka in a magus battle. That's insane! Lorelei's supposed to be the perfect heir raised by the lord of the Barthomeloi! She already reached the Rank Pride at just 14. It's hard to imagine how powerful Sajyou Manaka that defeated her must be!"

The shy girl also looked up dreamily. "Yeah… Miss Sajyou is my goal. I want to become a great magus just like her!"

Then she remembered that she'd be visiting her idol's dorm that weekend, and her face flushed bright red again.

Hearing the endless praise from the two girls behind her, Manaka sajyou couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed.

It wasn't just those two girls—

Even the students walking in the corridor would respectfully greet her upon seeing her, occasionally calling her things like "the greatest genius in the history of the Clock Tower," "the direct disciple of the Second Magician," "the most desirable woman in the Clock Tower," and so on.

However, only Manaka sajyou herself knew the truth…

It was all a lie!

A year ago, she had still been a university student constantly pulling all-nighters to write papers, running around tirelessly for her studies every day.

But just a month ago, after staying up for three straight days and nights, she suddenly found herself transmigrated.

Transmigrated into the mysterious world of Type-Moon, into the body of the so-called princess of the Root, Manaka sajyou.

Based on Type-Moon lore, she instantly felt her life had become invincible. Even if she encountered the Fourth or Fifth Holy Grail War, it wouldn't matter—after all, she was connected to the Root.

She could win lying down. Her entire face practically screamed the word "invincible." Just moving her finger could destroy Servants and annihilate worlds.

Soon enough, the plot unfolded just as she had expected.

On her very first day after transmigrating, she ran into the Second Magic owner—Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg.

Commonly known as the "Wizard Marshal."

In short, he told her that he saw great potential in her, that she was a genius in learning magecraft, and wanted to take her in as a personal disciple.

Seeing that he was sincere, Manaka graciously granted him the opportunity to teach her.

Eventually, the two of them went to the Clock Tower, beginning her journey of learning magecraft.

Thanks to Wizard Marshal endless praise, even the twelve Lords of the Clock Tower were awestruck by her "talent," one after another calling her the greatest genius in Clock Tower history.

Everything seemed to be going perfectly, but misfortune struck faster than expected.

Upon arriving at the Clock Tower, she was eager to show off her "invincible talent" to everyone.

Wizard Marshal also took her extremely seriously, deciding to personally teach her his signature Second Magic.

But after countless attempts, she finally realized—

Something was wrong with this world line!

She wasn't that invincible princess of the Root from the Type-Moon world in her past life. She was just an ordinary girl.

If not for the Wizard Marshal hellish year-long training, she would've barely even known how to activate her magic circuits—let alone become a magus.

In the Type-Moon world, magus ranks are categorized from highest to lowest as: Grand, Brand, Pride, Fes, Cause, Count, Frame.

And she… under the grueling pressure of the Wizard Marshal training… barely learned the basics and only just qualified as a Frame-Rank magus.

But the strangest thing was—

Even with her lack of skill, everyone was still amazed by her "talent"!

In class, when Professor Kayneth had students use alchemy to synthesize some basic materials, she couldn't even recognize all the materials properly.

She randomly tossed some stuff into a pot… and somehow ended up creating Marrow Of The Moon Spirit. Professor Kayneth's own signature alchemy product.

After class, her title of "Clock Tower's No. 1 genius" attracted challengers who dragged her to the dueling grounds. But the "boss" of the challengers seemed absolutely terrified of her and didn't dare to attack, leaving her unable to even confess she was a complete noob.

When they later decided to gang up on her, Manaka was convinced she'd lose for sure.

But…

Their attacks just wouldn't hit her—each one barely grazed past her body.

And somehow, she won.

Afterward, the group even said, "Manaka Sajyou is amazing—she predicted our predictions!"

These guys were considered top-tier among their peers, so from then on, anyone who wanted to challenge Manaka had to first defeat them.

Whenever she walked, even the clouds would part from her path, and a beam of holy light would shine down on her. Onlookers would gasp in awe.

Over time, rumors spread in the Clock Tower that her magecraft was powerful enough to control the weather, and some even said she had developed a Sixth Magic…

During a practical lesson, out of frustration from not knowing anything, she accidentally shattered a glass container, which was interpreted by the professor as "breaking the boundary between reality and illusion, seeing through the false veil of the world." Her classmates immediately started praising her as a genius.

Manaka sajyou was truly confused.

She really was just a novice who had only just begun learning magecraft.

But this world was way too kind to her.

It was like having EX-ranked Luck.

But now there was a problem…

Everyone in the Clock Tower believed she was a genius whose talents far surpassed even Professor Kayneth, and they're believe that she's to be someone on par with the Wizard Marshal. A future leader of magecraft, they said.

So, many students would often come and ask her all sorts of magecraft questions.

But Manaka knew all too well that she was still a beginner. How could she possibly answer them?

Wasn't that just bullying?

As for that girl's question earlier… she would just stall as long as she could.

At worst, she'd pretend to be super busy—then the other party would probably feel embarrassed and give up.

It wasn't the first time she'd done this anyway.

"Sigh…"

Thinking of all this, Manaka let out a long sigh, filled with unspeakable emotion.

This was the Type-Moon world, full of danger.

Even setting aside the Holy Grail Wars in Japan, the political strife within the Clock Tower was already enough to give her headaches.

She had the life of a protagonist—but none of a protagonist's power. How was she supposed to survive?

Could she really rely on just her luck?

Would luck really solve everything?

She glanced at the boys and girls around her.

As expected, just one glance caused several of them to swoon.

Sigh…

These people were only seeing her reputation—not her true self.

Sigh…

She let out another sigh, forcing a self-deprecating smile, then hurried off to shake off the crowd of idiots behind her.

She was truly distressed…

She didn't know what path lay ahead.

But just as Manaka sajyou entered her room—

She discovered someone sitting inside.

Her Master—

The Wizard Marshal!
