Chapter 4 - Chapter - 4 The Oath Of Courage

The atmosphere inside the Hogwarts medical chamber was filled with dread and heartbreak. James, Rose, and Scorpius had just brought the unconscious bodies of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger into the room. Madam Pomfrey gasped the moment she saw them — her hands trembled as she rushed forward. Hagrid stood silently at the doorway, his enormous figure shadowed by grief.

On the nearby beds lay Professor McGonagall and Professor Trelawney, both unconscious and pale. The sight was unbearable. Hagrid's eyes welled up as he whispered, "Not them… not all of them…" His voice cracked, and tears rolled silently down his cheeks.

James tried to stay strong, masking his pain behind a serious face. Rose stood near her parents' bed, tears streaming as she looked at Hermione and Ron. Scorpius kept his composure, though his eyes betrayed a hidden sorrow.

Hagrid finally asked, "Miss Pomfrey… what happened to them?"

Pomfrey, her voice shaking, replied, "It looks like they were poisoned, Hagrid. Their bodies… they're turning blue." She wiped her tears. "Someone didn't just poison them — they used dark magic. I'm trying to draw the poison out, but… I can't. It's spreading too fast."

Hagrid roared, "You have to do something! Harry, Ron, Hermione — they're the only ones who can protect Hogwarts! You're the head of the medical wing, Miss Pomfrey — please, do something!"

She sobbed, "It's impossible, Hagrid. Whoever attacked them did it to kill them slowly. The poison is rare — something I've never seen before — and the wounds are sealed with dark spells. There's no antidote."

Hagrid's huge hand gently held Harry's limp one. "I can't see them like this," he whispered. "Not Harry, not Ron, not Hermione… and Professor McGonagall…" His tears fell freely.

Outside, students whispered among themselves:"The great Harry Potter… defeated?""Maybe he's too old to fight now…""Who will save Hogwarts if all its protectors are gone?"

The murmurs grew until James finally shouted, "Stop it! These people risked their lives to save Hogwarts — to give you a future! And this is how you talk about them? You should be ashamed!"

Rose joined in, her eyes burning with anger. "If you have hearts, say something kind! Not this rubbish!"

Just then, Kael Nightshade burst into the room and rushed to Rose. "I didn't expect this," he gasped. "If I were there, I'd have killed that dark man myself! Maybe I'm a Hufflepuff, but I fight like a Gryffindor. Don't worry, Rose — I'm with you!"

James glared silently while Kael continued dramatically, "What happened? If I'd been there, I'd have destroyed them with my spells!"

Hagrid muttered under his breath, "Oh Merlin's beard, not this headache again…"

Scorpius folded his arms. "Please. You'd be the first one hiding in the bathroom."

Pomfrey and Hagrid chuckled; even James smiled faintly. Kael puffed his chest and pointed at Scorpius. "I'm stronger than you, Malfoy. You don't know what I can do!"

Hagrid sighed. "Why does he always turn tragedy into comedy?"

Kael sneered, "Your father was a coward, wasn't he, Scorpius?"

Scorpius's eyes darkened with rage. He stepped forward, ready to punch him, but James intervened. "Enough. We have bigger things to do than listen to you, Kael."

"Stop it, Kael!" Rose shouted, her patience snapping. "This isn't the time! And don't you dare speak about Draco Malfoy like that. He risked his life to help Harry Uncle — he's not a coward."

Kael fell silent as Rose's words struck the room with truth.

Pomfrey then said quietly, "There is only one person who might be able to save them…"

"Who?" Hagrid asked desperately.

Pomfrey hesitated. "Amelia."

Hagrid's eyes widened. "Amelia… Dumbledore's cousin?"

Moments later, the doors opened, and Amelia Dumbledore entered. She was graceful, elderly, and radiant — her long silver hair tied neatly, her eyes wise and fierce. She carried an umbrella, a leather bag, and a thick spellbook.

"Madam Amelia!" Hagrid exclaimed. "It's been years!"

She smiled kindly and examined Harry, Ron, and Hermione's wounds. Her face grew grim. "Someone used a rare, forbidden magic. It's beyond ordinary poison. Only the attacker's blood can save them — or the attacker must die."

Rose gasped. "Is there no other way?"

Amelia gently touched Rose's shoulder. "You remind me of your mother — brave, kind, and determined. I can slow the poison for fifteen days, but only their attackers' blood can cure them."

Rose knelt, tears in her eyes. "Please, save them, Madam."

Amelia placed her hand on Rose's cheek. "I will protect them as long as I can. But saving them… that choice lies with you." She turned to James and smiled faintly. "James Sirius Potter — the future of Hogwarts rests in your hands."

Even Hagrid was taken aback. "He's only fourteen, Amelia."

She looked at Hagrid with certainty. "Age doesn't matter when destiny calls. He carries his father's courage — and more."

Moments later, the Great Hall filled with murmurs again. Students gossiped cruelly."The great Harry Potter was defeated by a dark man!""Hermione couldn't even protect herself!""Who will save Hogwarts now?"

James slammed his fist on the table. "Enough! You speak of heroes who gave everything for us — show some respect!"

Hagrid rose to his full height. "You heard him! Show respect for your protectors!"

At that moment, Amelia entered and announced, "It's true. The one who attacked them… is none other than Voldemort. He has returned."

Gasps echoed across the hall.

A Slytherin student named Ricky sneered, "And how will you stop him, old lady?"

Hagrid growled, "How dare you—!"

Amelia raised her hand calmly. "I will save Hogwarts, even if it costs my life. And for your information, young man… I know magic."

Before anyone could react, Voldemort's shadow army burst into the hall — dark, masked figures appearing out of thin air, surrounding everyone.

Amelia's eyes flared with light. With a flick of her hair clip, it shot through the air like a blade, slicing down Silas Crowbane — a masked prisoner of Azkaban. The clip spun through the crowd, striking the dark army in flashes of light.

Amelia tossed her umbrella upward, and it opened midair — deflecting dozens of death spells, sending them ricocheting back at the attackers.

Frank, one of the older students, shouted, "Because of you monsters, I lost my friend Albus! I'll kill you myself!" He charged, stabbing an enemy.

Rose leapt beside him, kicking two dark soldiers down and shouting, "Death shall meet the dark!" Her wand flared as she cast Stupefy!

James rushed in, knocking another opponent away with a powerful Expelliarmus! spell. He and Scorpius fought side by side, shielding students.

Kael shouted dramatically, "Help! Someone help me!" as he stumbled behind the curtains. Scorpius rolled his eyes and muttered, "Typical."

James, Rose, and Scorpius coordinated their magic. "Bombarda!" they roared together — the blast shaking the hall and scattering enemies.

James raised his wand again. "Protego Totalum!" A massive barrier enveloped everyone, reflecting the army's spells. The combined force of James, Rose, Scorpius, and Amelia destroyed the shadow army in a final burst of white light.

When the smoke cleared, silence filled the hall. Students began clapping, crying, cheering. Hagrid smiled proudly. "You haven't changed a bit, Madam Amelia. Your umbrella and your hair clips saved us all."

James quickly checked Rose's arms for wounds. She smiled. "I'm fine, James."

Hagrid stepped forward and placed a large hand on James's shoulder. "You fought bravely, lad — just like your father and grandfather. Rose, your courage shines like Hermione's, and Scorpius… you've proved you're more than a Malfoy name. You've got a Gryffindor heart."

The three young heroes smiled proudly.

Kael swaggered forward. "You couldn't have done it without me, Rose. I saved you."

Scorpius groaned, "How disgusting."

James muttered, "Rubbish."

Hagrid frowned. "He was hiding behind the curtains!"

Rose raised an eyebrow. "Then who saved me, Kael?"

Kael smirked. "It was me."

Scorpius began, "It was Ja—" but James quickly stopped him.

Before more chaos began, Rose suddenly remembered. "Harry Uncle! My parents!" She sprinted toward the medical wing — only to find it… gone.

"What happened?" she cried.

James looked away. "I had to protect them."

"Did you use a spell?" Rose demanded.

Amelia stepped forward. "Yes. James used a Fidelius Charm — a secret-keeper spell to hide them from the dark army."

Rose turned to James, stunned. He said softly, "I wasn't there when my family was attacked once. I won't let it happen again."

Scorpius smiled. "Sometimes, James, you really act like your father."

"Correction," James said smugly. "I'm smarter."

Before Rose could reply, the doors opened again — Ginny Potter, Lily, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Draco Malfoy, and Astoria Greengrass rushed in.

Luna and Ginny hugged Rose tightly. Ginny's voice trembled. "After hearing everything… I was terrified."

James looked down. "Mom… I couldn't protect Albus. I'll bring him back — I promise."

Ginny's eyes filled with tears. "I can't lose you too, James…"

"Please, believe in me," he said.

Rose stepped forward. "He's not alone, Aunt Ginny. I'll be with him — to save Hogwarts and bring everyone back."

Ginny smiled weakly through her tears. "You remind me so much of your mother."

Nearby, Neville and Luna silently cried, watching the new generation take up the mantle.

James turned to Rose. "You shouldn't come. It's dangerous."

Rose crossed her arms. "I'm not a kid. My mother helped Harry Uncle through every danger, and my dad faced death for friendship. You'll need me."

James sighed. "This is different, Rose. I have to find out how Voldemort returned — destroy his army — and bring back Albus."

"Then I'll be part of that mission," she said firmly. "I promised my parents I'd fight beside you."

James looked away, murmuring, "So… you're coming because of your promise, not for me."

"What?" she asked, confused.

"Nothing," he said softly, fastening Albus's bracelet to his wrist.

Rose smiled and placed her hand over his. "Until you find Albus, he's with you — in this bracelet."

James smiled faintly.

Kael stepped forward. "I'll come too, Rose, to protect you again."

"No," she said sharply.

Scorpius whispered to James, "I feel like punching him."

Hagrid nodded. "Same here."

James smirked but said nothing.

The hall erupted with cheers. Students called their names — James Sirius Potter, Rose Granger-Weasley, and Scorpius Malfoy — the new protectors of Hogwarts.

Scorpius turned to Draco. "Father, I'm going with them. I can't stand aside while Hogwarts falls."

Astoria's eyes filled with tears. "It's dangerous, Scorpius…"

He smiled. "I'll be fine, Mum. James and Rose believe in me."

Draco placed a proud hand on his son's shoulder. "I'm proud of you, Scorpius. Protect them — and yourself."

Amelia feels happy of seeing a new future of James Sirius Potter, Rose Granger Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy as team to fight against evil and to save Hogwarts and their loved ones.
