Chapter 41 - Morning grumpiness

Giyuu shake his head, still half asleep.

"Nooo."

Sanemi rolls his eyes at Giyuu's protest.

"Don't 'nooo' me. Come on, I'll make you coffee."

He offers, knowing that coffee is usually the only thing that gets Giyuu out of bed. Giyuu turns away from the white haired man.

Sanemi frowns at the stubborn gesture.

"You're being difficult today, aren't you?"

He says with a hint of exasperation, though he secretly finds Giyuu's sleepy defiance endearing. Sanemi leans down and whispers in Giyuu's ear.

"If you don't get up, I'll tickle you."

He threatens playfully, knowing how sensitive Giyuu is to tickling. Giyuu immediately tenses at the threat, but still doesn't move.

"Last chance. Five... four..."

He counts down, fingers hovering over Giyuu's side. Sanemi starts counting with his fingers.

"Three... two..."

He grins mischievously, watching Giyuu's reaction. Sanemi pounces, tickling Giyuu's sides relentlessly.

"One! Gotcha!"

He laughs as Giyuu squirms and tries to escape. Giyuu bursts into laughter, trying to push Sanemi away.

"S-Sanemi! Stop! Please!"

He gasps between giggles, finally showing signs of waking up properly. Sanemi stops, but keeps his hands on Giyuu's waist.

"See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"

He smirks, enjoying the sight of Giyuu's flushed face from laughing. Giyuu pouts at him, still breathing heavily from the tickling.

"You're so mean..."

He complains, though there's no real anger in his voice. Sanemi leans down and kisses Giyuu's pout.

"You love me anyway."

He says confidently, knowing he's right. Giyuu melts into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Sanemi's neck.

"Maybe I do... but I still need my coffee."

He mumbles against Sanemi's lips, giving in to his morning routine. Sanemi breaks the kiss reluctantly, standing up.

"Alright, coffee first. Then we can continue this later."

He winks, heading to the kitchen to prepare Giyuu's morning caffeine fix. Giyuu sits up in bed, running a hand through his messy hair.

"I swear you enjoy torturing me in the morning."

He follows Sanemi to the kitchen, still in his pajamas. Sanemi starts the coffee machine, leaning against the counter.

"You're just too easy to tease, darling."

He watches Giyuu with a fond smile, appreciating how cute he looks in his sleepy state. The coffee machine beeps, and Sanemi pours a cup for Giyuu.

"Here you go, grumpy gym teacher."

He hands him the cup, amused by Giyuu's morning grumpiness. Giyuu takes the cup and sips it slowly, closing his eyes in satisfaction.

"Mmm... better."

He finally starts to look more awake, the caffeine kicking in. Sanemi checks the time on his phone.

"You have about an hour before your first class. Don't fall asleep again."

He warns playfully, knowing Giyuu's tendency to doze off during breaks. Giyuu nods, still sipping his coffee.

"I won't. I promise."

He glances at Sanemi with a hint of mischief.

"But you might have to wake me up again after lunch."

Sanemi raises an eyebrow, catching the suggestive tone.

"Oh? Planning to take a nap in my classroom, are you?"

He steps closer to Giyuu, a smirk on his face.

Giyuu sets down his cup and smirks back.

"Maybe I am. Maybe I'll need someone to keep me company."

He wraps his arms around Sanemi's waist, pulling him closer. Sanemi hugs Giyuu tightly, burying his face in his hair.

"You're such a clingy morning person."

He teases, though he makes no move to let go. Giyuu nuzzles against Sanemi's chest, breathing in his scent.

"Only for you, though."

He whispers softly, enjoying the warmth of their embrace. Sanemi kisses the top of Giyuu's head, running his fingers through his hair.

"You're going to be late for your students if you don't let go."

He says reluctantly, knowing they both have responsibilities. Giyuu sighs and reluctantly pulls away, looking up at Sanemi with puppy eyes.

"Fine. But you're making me dinner tonight."

He demands playfully, heading to the bathroom to get ready. Sanemi laughs, following him to the bathroom doorway. "Demanding, aren't we? Fine, I'll make your favorite."

He leans against the doorframe, watching Giyuu start his morning routine. Sanemi grins, recognizing the look on Giyuu's face.

"You're thinking about the salmon I made last week, aren't you?"

He recalls how Giyuu practically inhaled it at dinner. Giyuu nods enthusiastically, brushing his teeth.

"It is delicious. And I might have dreamed about it last night."

He admits sheepishly, spitting out toothpaste. Sanemi chuckles, thoroughly amused.

"I'll make sure to double the portion this time."

He jokes, knowing Giyuu has quite an appetite. Giyuu finishes brushing his teeth and turns to Sanemi with a cheeky smile.

"And maybe some ohagi for dessert?"

He suggests hopefully, knowing Sanemi can't resist his sweet tooth. Sanemi rolls his eyes, but his expression softens.

"You're lucky I love you and ohagi. Yes, ohagi too."

He gives in easily, unable to deny Giyuu anything. Giyuu beams and quickly finishes getting ready, excited for dinner now.

"You're the best, Sanemi."

He kisses Sanemi's cheek before heading to the front door. Sanemi watches him leave, shaking his head fondly.

"Have a good day at work, you glutton."

He calls out, already planning the grocery list for tonight's meal. Later at the school, Sanemi finds himself thinking about Giyuu during his classes.

He catches himself smiling at his students, something he rarely does. The students whisper to each others, noticing their usually grumpy math teacher's unusual mood.

"Mr. Shinazugawa seems... different today."

"Yeah, he's actually being nice. I think he's thinking about Mr. Tomioka again."

They giggle quietly, having witnessed the couple's interactions before. Sanemi overhears them and glares, but it lacks its usual intimidation.

"Quiet down and focus on your equations."

He tries to maintain his stern demeanor, but his mind drifts back to Giyuu's smile this morning. After class, Sanemi checks his phone and sees a message from Giyuu.

"Miss you already. Can't wait for dinner."

Sanemi's lips curve into a small smile as he types back.

"Stop distracting me at work, idiot."

In lunch break Giyuu walk to his classroom wanting to sleep.

Sanemi is grading papers when he sees Giyuu entering his classroom, looking tired.

"Hey, you look exhausted. Shouldn't you be eating lunch?"

He gestures to the empty chair next to his desk, where Giyuu often naps during breaks. Giyuu immediately makes his way to the chair and slumps down.

"Too tired. Kids were extra energetic today."

He yawns and rests his head on the desk, closing his eyes. Sanemi watches as Giyuu quickly falls asleep, his breathing becoming steady.

He gets up and quietly moves to sit on the edge of his desk, observing Giyuu's peaceful face. Sanemi gently brushes Giyuu's hair away from his face, careful not to wake him.

He can't help but admire how cute Giyuu looks when he sleeps, his usual stoic expression replaced with a peaceful one. Giyuu stirs slightly at the touch, mumbling something incoherent. Sanemi's heart skips a beat as Giyuu unconsciously leans into his hand, seeking comfort even in sleep.
