Chapter 46 - Tickel

Zenitsu yelps dramatically as Muichiro collides with him, falling onto his butt.

"OW! Watch where you're going, you little gremlin!"

He yells, then notices Tanjiro approaching and quickly tries to compose himself. Zenitsu start crying. Tanjiro rushes to Zenitsu's side, looking concerned.

"Zenitsu, are you okay? I'm so sorry about Muichiro!"

He helps Zenitsu up while shooting Muichiro a disapproving look. Muichiro sticks his tongue out at Zenitsu again, completely unapologetic.

"I hate this school! I hate these kids!"

He wails into Tanjiro's shoulder, making a scene as usual. Sanemi notices Giyuu slipping away from the chaos.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going, Giyuu?"

He calls out, his eyes narrowing suspiciously. Giyuu freezes for a moment, then turns back with his typical deadpan expression.

"To class. Unlike you, I actually care about being on time."

He says coolly, continuing his escape. Sanemi grabs Giyuu's wrist before he can escape further, pulling him closer.

"Not so fast. You owe me a kiss for dealing with these brats."

He demands in a low voice, glancing at the kids who are still distracted. Giyuu raises an eyebrow, a slight blush appearing on his cheeks despite his stoic face.

"Here? In front of everyone?"

He whispers, but doesn't pull away from Sanemi's grip. Sanemi smirks, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Don't act like you care about public displays. You're just trying to tease me."

He leans in closer, their faces inches apart. Giyuu's breath hitches slightly, his heart racing despite his attempts to maintain composure.

"Maybe I am."

He whispers back, his hand unconsciously moving to Sanemi's chest. Sanemi's smirk widens at Giyuu's touch, his grip on Giyuu's wrist tightening.

"You're playing a dangerous game, Giyuu. I might just kiss you right here."

He threatens playfully, enjoying the rare flustered look on Giyuu's face. Sanemi captures Giyuu's lips in a heated kiss, not caring about the potential audience anymore. The world around them fades as they get lost in the moment. Zenitsu's screams break through their kiss, causing Sanemi to groan in annoyance.

"Damn it, that kid has the worst timing."

He reluctantly pulls away from Giyuu, glaring at Zenitsu who is now dramatically pointing at them. Giyuu quickly regains his composure, though his lips are slightly swollen and red. "I told you this was a bad idea."

He says with a hint of amusement in his voice, watching Zenitsu's theatrical meltdown. Sanemi wraps an arm around Giyuu's waist possessively, flipping Zenitsu off.

"Shut up, you little shit! Go cry somewhere else!"

The other teachers start gathering, including Obanai who looks disgusted by the public display. Obanai approaches with a scowl. "Sanemi, Giyuu, this is highly inappropriate behavior for school grounds. Control yourselves."

He hisses, while some students start taking pictures with their phones. Giyuu walk away. Sanemi tries to follow Giyuu, but Obanai blocks his path.

"Where do you think you're going too? You have classes to teach."

Giyuu disappears down the hallway, leaving Sanemi to face the consequences of their actions. Sanemi glares at Obanai, his face reddening with anger and embarrassment.

"Get out of my way, snake bastard."

He growls, attempting to push past him to chase after Giyuu. Obanai doesn't budge, crossing his arms.

"You're not chasing after him. And you're definitely getting written up for this."

The other teachers whisper among themselves, some looking amused while others look scandalized.

Sanemi runs a hand through his hair in frustration, muttering curses under his breath.

"Fine. But I'm going to get back at him for leaving me to deal with this mess."

He storms off to his classroom, already plotting revenge against Giyuu. Later that day, Sanemi waits outside Giyuu's classroom after school, leaning against the wall with a predatory grin.

"You think you can just run away from me, Tomioka? Let's see how you like it when I corner you."

The hallway is empty now, students gone for the day. Sanemi's eyes gleam with anticipation as he hears footsteps approaching.

Giyuu appears, noticing Sanemi's presence too late. Sanemi pounces, pinning him against the wall.

"Gotcha. No escape this time."

Giyuu tries to maintain his cool demeanor, but his heart is racing again as Sanemi presses against him.

"What do you want now, Sanemi?"

He asks, though his voice comes out slightly breathless. Sanemi's fingers find Giyuu's sensitive spots, attacking them relentlessly.

"Revenge for earlier, and for making me look like an idiot in front of everyone."

He laughs sadistically as Giyuu squirms under his tickling. Giyuu tries to hold back his laughter, but it escapes in small gasps.

"Stop... that's... not fair..."

He struggles against Sanemi's hold, his face turning red from both embarrassment and the tickling sensation. Sanemi shows no mercy, his hands moving faster and more precisely.

"Oh, but it's so much fun watching you try to stay serious."

He leans in closer, enjoying the rare sight of Giyuu losing his composure completely. Giyuu finally breaks, bursting into genuine laughter, tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"Sanemi! Please... I can't... breathe!"

He gasps between laughs, his body trembling with each tickle. Sanemi smirks triumphantly, finally stopping but keeping Giyuu trapped against the wall.

"There it is. Your laugh. It's cute, you know that?"

He teases, wiping a tear from Giyuu's cheek with his thumb. Giyuu glares weakly at Sanemi, trying to catch his breath.

"You're... the worst."

He pants, still recovering from the intense tickling session. Sanemi leans in, his lips brushing against Giyuu's ear.

"And yet you're still blushing. Admit it, you enjoyed being at my mercy."

He whispers huskily, his hands now resting on Giyuu's hips. Both get a message. Sanemi pulls back, annoyed by the interruption, and checks his phone.

"Tch, what now?"

Giyuu also takes out his phone, still recovering from the moment. It's a message from Principal Ubuyashiki, summoning both teachers to his office immediately.

"Great, just great. We're in deep shit now."

He groans, grabbing Giyuu's wrist and starting to drag him toward the office. As they walk, Sanemi mutters under his breath.

"This is all your fault, Tomioka. If you hadn't kissed me earlier..."

He glances at Giyuu with a mix of irritation and lingering desire. Giyuu rolls his eyes, finally able to regain some composure.

"I kissed you because you were being insufferable. Don't act like you didn't want it."

He retorts, his voice returning to its usual monotone despite the situation. Sanemi's grip tightens on Giyuu's wrist as they approach the office door.

"Keep talking like that and I'll kiss you again in front of the principal."

He threatens with a smirk, knowing it would only make their situation worse. Before Giyuu can respond, Sanemi opens the door to find Principal Ubuyashiki waiting with a stern expression.

"Ah, gentlemen. Please take a seat. We need to discuss a school trip."

Sanemi's smirk falters as he processes the unexpected topic.

"A school trip? Why are we needed for that?"

He sits down reluctantly, pulling Giyuu down beside him. Ubuyashiki adjusts his glasses, his gaze shifting between the two teachers.

"Because you two will be in charge of chaperoning the class trip to the mountains."

He says with a knowing smile, clearly aware of their tension. Sanemi's jaw drops, while Giyuu remains stoic but visibly tense.

"You've got to be kidding me. Me and him? Alone with a bunch of brats for days?"

He gestures wildly between himself and Giyuu, already dreading the forced proximity.

"Yes, and I expect you both to behave professionally and set a good example for the students."

The principal's tone leaves no room for argument.

"This is going to be hell."

Ubuyashiki chuckles softly, folding his hands together.

"Perhaps it will be an opportunity for you to bond more... outside of your usual disagreements."

He hints at their relationship, having observed their interactions for some time.
