Chapter 2 - NO TURNING BACK

Her jaws dropped as she scanned his face to see if he was joking, but couldn't see any false expression. She has never seen Alexander stone but according to the news he is an ugly middle aged man who was deemed cursed for his infertility.

The man standing right in front of me, doesn't look like a middle aged man. He was every woman's dream, broad chest, tall, handsome with piercing blue eyes and a deep voice. A man who would easily capture any lady's heart.

Alex smirked and glanced at his wristwatch, " I don't have much time to waste. Meet me tomorrow morning with your passport at the registry office." He waved her away.

Emily arrived home late to find Sophia waiting while occupied with her phone. She explained everything to Sophia while selecting a simple gown for the next day.

Emily took a taxi to the registry office. She sighed, praying slightly for her life not to become a nightmare.

The building was surrounded by men on black, all eyes were on her as if she had stolen something , shaking off the feeling that she didn't walk into the wrong building. A young lady approached her and asked, " Are you Miss Emily?

Emily nodded.

The lady led her to another hall, where she saw a man wearing a mask, his presence carried a dangerous aura.

"Ten minutes late, I like my woman to be punctual," Alex said, frowning as he glanced at his watch.

Emily stared at the marriage certificate for as long as she could. "Do you want to keep staring at the certificate or get into the car, Mrs Stone? " Alex smirked.

Emily found it strange that he didn't seem bothered by marrying a total stranger. "Where are we going?" She asked, trying to start up a conversation with him.

"To see my parents," He replied, his hands on the wheel, not glancing at her.

"What?" Emily shouted, loud enough to block his ear.

" I can't meet your parents now, it is too early." She placed her hands on her heart, trying to calm herself as she continued, "I need some time to prepare, and I don't know anything about you or your family!"

Alex's eyes darkened, "You do,'' he murmured.

"I don't have much time, my mother is a little bit nice, while my father is not very welcoming. Try not to involve yourself yet."

She shouldn't involve herself now she just married him. How is that possible? She stared at him in disbelief, then moved her gaze to the window.

The gate swung open automatically, her eyes widened in awe. The building walls were adorned with priceless arts and floors were made of polished dark hardwoods.

She followed Alex inside the building, feeling the sense of comfort forgetting she was about to meet his father. "You have to focus, if you meet my father act like we have known each other for years and we are deeply in love." Alex said, with a meaningful gaze.

Emily nodded, trying to keep up with him but he kept on moving fast.

"Welcome young master," Edward, the butler said. He was in his late thirties and had been working for the Stone since his childhood.

"Where are they?" Alex asked coldly, not acknowledging Edward's greeting.

Edward frowned, knowing exactly who Alex was referring to.

 "In the garden."

Alex didn't glance at him again and quickly dragged Emily toward the garden, his expression changed when he found his father, Mr. Stone and Mr. Nelson.

Mr Stone smiled, welcoming Alex. "Ah, Alex I was about to call you over to have tea."

"This is Mr. Nelson," his father said, introducing the old man. " His daughter is the lovely lady you'll be marrying." Alex's eyes darkened, and he finally said the words, "I'm already married."

The atmosphere changed immediately as his father's face turned blank "What? When? Where?" Mr. Stone stuttered, his voice filled with shock.

Alex's response was calm and collected. "I got married today."
