After the blur of tears, darkness followed.
Amidst the pitch-black silence, a wisp of extreme coldness coiled around her neck, choking her out of breath before dragging her into a river of ice.
She thrashed instinctively, body convulsing as she fought to live for a little bit longer.
She waited for the hand to pull her out of the waters.
However, no matter how long she waited, no matter how hard she struggled, no one came.
Till the end, she was all alone, trapped in this endless loop of nightmare.
Her breath stopped, limbs falling limp as warmth and color gradually left her body.
Was she really going to die? Just like this?

Ruby was jolted awake by the panicked cries echoing in her ears.
Her chest heaved up and down violently as air rushed back into her lungs. For a moment, she stared ahead, her eyes blank.
