It had been three and a half years since Kai built the Tower of Dreams and Challenges, and everyone's power levels had skyrocketed thanks to it. Even Goten and Trunks were now capable of transforming into Super Saiyan Blue. According to Kai's recent calculations, both of them had reached the same power level that Goku and Vegeta had in the original timeline.
As for Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan, their power had grown to at least thirty times what it was in the original history. It took a lot of convincing from Kai to get Gohan to train seriously. Chichi resisted at first—of course she did—but even she couldn't deny the truth: in their world, without strength, you couldn't even guarantee you'd live to see the next sunrise. Eventually she relented, a change that shocked everyone, especially Kai… though it was a welcome one.
As for Kai, he continued growing stronger thanks to his clones working nonstop inside his personal dimension. His power level had long surpassed anything he used to track; he didn't even bother opening his status window anymore—he could feel how monstrous his growth had become. Something inside him whispered that he was nearing a major breakthrough… an evolution of some kind. His instincts screamed that he needed just one final push.
Of course, he kept all of this to himself.
To everyone else, Kai looked like someone who spent his time lazing around, relaxing, and enjoying simple things between training sessions. Even so, nobody underestimated him. Despite all their intense training, not Goten, not Vegeta, not Goku, not Gohan—none of them had ever forced Kai to transform into a Super Saiyan during a spar. Not even when Goku and Vegeta fused with the Potara. Kai remained the strongest among them—the top predator.
Surprisingly, instead of discouraging the others, this only motivated them more. Everyone constantly sought him out for advice and training, hoping to push their limits further.
Kai also spent time working alongside Bulma on various inventions. Owning 5% of Capsule Corp, and having "invented" the arc reactor (as everyone believed), he had proven himself quite the genius. Most of the inventions he developed with Bulma were household tools, upgrades to Capsule technology, and some work in computing and gaming—areas the Dragon Ball world severely lacked. He even introduced a handful of video games, which quickly became extremely popular and profitable. (I won't mention titles—use your imagination, dear reader.)
Current Day
Things progressed similarly to the original timeline as everyone gathered on Bulma's luxurious yacht to celebrate her birthday. The main difference: Goku was present, instead of training on North Kai's planet. Ever since Kai built the Tower, Goku found it to be the perfect training ground—he could go wild without worrying about destroying anything, and the Tower repaired and strengthened itself after every battle.
Everyone was there, and the atmosphere was warm and peaceful. Laughter echoed across the deck. Gohan and Videl's relationship was progressing just like in the original timeline. Even Vegeta, despite keeping his stoic expression, clearly enjoyed himself—his relaxed shoulders betrayed him.
Everyone was at ease… Except Kai.
He knew Beerus and Whis were on their way.
It didn't take long.
With a blinding flash of light, they appeared on the deck, and North Kai immediately began frantically using his telepathy to warn Goku about the God of Destruction.
If you want, I can continue the story from here or revise further.
Beerus stretched lazily as he stepped onto the deck, barely acknowledging the shocked faces around him. Whis offered a polite smile, his staff tapping gently against the floor as if announcing their arrival.
Kai stood silently near the railing, watching everything unfold with calm eyes. So it finally begins…
North Kai's frantic warning echoed in Goku's mind:
"Goku! Listen! Don't do anything stupid—he's the God of Destruction! Be respectful—no, Goku, don't—GOKU!"
But Goku had already appeared in front of Beerus with a cheerful grin.
"Hey! So you're Lord Beerus! I've been wanting to meet you!"
Vegeta's face whitened instantly. The proud Saiyan prince, who feared no warrior, no monster, no god… was sweating bullets. Bulma's party, the peaceful mood, all of it was hanging on a thread thinner than ki.
Beerus hummed. "Ah, you must be Son Goku. The one who defeated Frieza…
You power is quit decent" His eyes narrowed. "Tell me, Saiyan. Do you know anything about the Super Saiyan God?"
Goku blinked. "The… what?"
North Kai mentally screamed.
Beerus tapped his fingers together, annoyance flickering in his golden eyes. "Then this may be a rather disappointing era after all…"
Kai felt the air shift. Beerus wasn't fully serious yet, but the god's presence alone made the atmosphere feel heavy. Most of the guests had stopped speaking, sensing the danger without understanding it.
Kai stepped closer, as if casually approaching the drink table, but his gaze met Whis's for an instant.
Whis smiled knowingly.
He sees through everything… as expected, Kai thought.
Videl tugged gently on Gohan's sleeve, whispering, "Who are they? Your dad looks nervous… and Vegeta is… well, unusually pale."
Before Gohan could answer, Beerus fluttered his hand dismissively.
"Never mind. Let's not waste time." His gaze slipped across the crowd—pausing on Kai longer than anyone else. "I'm here for entertainment. For a challenge. Something worthy of my patience."
Vegeta swallowed hard. Bulma stepped forward with forced cheerfulness. "W-Well! We have food! And music! And—"
Beerus ignored her completely.
His attention locked onto Kai.
"You. That youn men over there."
The entire deck turned.
Kai didn't flinch. He had been waiting for this.
Beerus pointed a finger lazily, but his voice carried a quiet authority that silenced even the waves around the ship.
"There's something… interesting about you," Beerus murmured. "Your energy feels strange. Ancient yet young. Calm yet wild. As if you're trying very hard to hide… a storm."
Kai sighed softly. Of course he noticed.
"quit the sharp instincts you got there aren't you " Kai replied politely. " but I'm just here for the party Nothing more."
Beerus smiled—not friendly, but intrigued.
"Then humor me," he said. "Show me a glimpse of your power."
"Seems like this super Saiyan god is quit important to you huh , very well" . Kai said calmly as He walked forward slowly, the deck creaking under his steps. The air tightened, electricity crawling like invisible threads.
Kai stood before Beerus, meeting the god's gaze without fear.
"I will show you enough," Kai said quietly, "to satisfy your curiosity… without ruining Bulma's birthday."
Beerus's grin widened.
"Oh? Very well then," he said. "Entertain me."
The sky darkened slightly as Kai raised a hand.
No transformation.
No aura exploding outward.
No screaming.
Just a subtle shift—like the world holding its breath.
The ocean beneath the yacht stilled.
The wind froze.
Even Goku and Vegeta felt their lungs tighten.
Whis's eyes sparkled. "How fascinating…"
Kai let out the smallest fraction of his true power.
Beerus's pupils thinned, his smile slowly fading—not from anger, but genuine surprise.
"…Well now… you didn't let me down," the God of Destruction whispered. "This universe may not be as boring as I thought. Finally, someone who can entertain me."
The air snapped back to normal as Kai lowered his hand.
Gasps spread across the deck.
Vegeta swallowed. Goku shivered—part excitement, part disbelief.
Beerus clasped his hands behind his back, tail flicking lazily.
"Very well. I've seen enough… for now. But don't think this is over. What was your name again?"
Kai smirked. "I never do. And my name is Kai."
Whis chuckled softly. "My, my. It seems Lord Beerus has found a new friend."
Beerus snorted. "Hardly. But I have found someone worth waking up for."
He tilted his head, amused.
"Care for a spar, kid? I woke up from my slumber especially because of you."
Kai shrugged. "I don't mind… but first, why don't you try these guys? My dad and Uncle Vegeta are quite strong themselves."
"Are they now?" Beerus' grin widened. "Let's see then."
Kai turned to Whis. "Could you prepare a safe place for their fight? And a shield to contain the power, please."
Whis nodded. "But of course."
He lifted his staff. Light burst forth, swirling upward into the sky. The clouds parted as a massive floating arena formed—smooth white tiles, reinforced flooring, and a shimmering golden barrier encasing its perimeter like a giant sphere.
"Done," Whis said with a smile. "This arena should be strong enough to handle your little warm-up."
The Battle Begins
Goku and Vegeta exchanged a glance.
"This is gonna be fun," Goku said, cracking his knuckles.
"Hmph. Don't embarrass me, Kakarot," Vegeta muttered, though the corner of his mouth twitched upward.
They ascended into the sky toward the arena. Beerus followed casually, hands behind his back, hovering with the grace of a feline god.
Kai stayed on the yacht with the others, arms crossed, watching calmly.
Let's see how far they've come…
Goku and Vegeta landed on opposite sides of the arena, wind whipping around them inside the glowing barrier.
Beerus stood in the center.
"Come now. Show me this what you got you two ."
Goku and Vegeta didn't hesitate.
Blue flames erupted from both of them at once—two pillars of divine energy that shook the entire arena. Their eyes sharpened, hair blazing bright azure.
Super Saiyan Blue.
Beerus raised a brow. "Hmm. A godly form with mortal origins. Interesting."
Goku vanished first, reappearing behind Beerus with a spinning kick. The god blocked it with a finger.
Vegeta rushed in from the front, fist coated in concentrated ki. Beerus leaned aside, dodging easily—but the prince's follow-up blast forced Beerus to slide back a step.
Whis chuckled from the yacht. "Oh my. They've improved far more than I expected."
Kai nodded slightly. "Their training in the Tower sped everything up. They're stronger than the Goku and Vegeta from the original timeline by a long shot."
Inside the arena, the battle intensified—
Goku unleashed a rapid barrage of strikes. Vegeta added pressure from above with precision blasts. Beerus began deflecting more seriously now, his smirk fading into focused concentration.
He backhanded Goku across the arena.
He kicked Vegeta into the barrier, making the shield ripple like water.
But both Saiyans launched back into the fight instantly, determination blazing.
Beerus paused, eyes narrowing.
"Fine then…"
A surge of violet energy exploded around him, the shockwave rumbling across the sea.
"You've forced me to use seventy percent of my power."
Whis raised a brow. "Oh dear… that's quite the compliment."
Goku grinned despite the pressure crushing his lungs. "Heh… we made him get serious!"
Vegeta wiped blood from the corner of his mouth. "Don't get cocky, Kakarot. We're far from done!"
Beerus appeared between them instantly and slammed both fists outward—sending Goku and Vegeta skidding backward in twin shockwaves.
But they caught themselves, faces fierce, aura blazing even brighter.
The arena trembled.
The barrier bulged outward from the force.
Even Beerus felt himself grinning.
"Marvelous! Now—show me more!"
Goku and Vegeta roared, charging forward together—)
The arena trembled violently as Goku and Vegeta pushed their limits. Their combined blue auras whipped around like storms, clashing against Beerus's overwhelming violet power. Each collision sent shockwaves rattling the golden barrier Whis had created.
Inside, the battle reached its peak—
Goku fired a fully condensed Kamehameha, the beam crackling with godly energy.
Vegeta followed with a roaring Final Flash, the attack so concentrated it bent the arena tiles beneath his feet.
Beerus met both blasts with a single hand, grinning savagely.
He pushed forward, his aura erupting like a purple supernova—
and the entire barrier around the arena cracked.
Not a small fracture.
A spiderweb of breaks shot across the entire dome.
Whis's expression shifted. "Oh dear… that is a bit problematic."
On the ship, plates rattled and guests panicked.
Kai sighed softly.
That's enough.
The barrier gave one final scream—
then shattered outward in a burst of golden shards.
But before even a single fragment could fall—
Kai moved.
In less than a heartbeat, he appeared in the center of the arena.
No aura.
No transformation.
Just a step—and the world froze.
An invisible wave pulsed outward.
BOOM.
It wasn't loud.
But it was absolute.
Beerus vanished from his offensive stance and reappeared twenty meters away, feet sliding across the tiles as if an unseen force pushed him.
Goku and Vegeta dropped out of their attacks instantly, both slammed onto one knee as the pressure hit them like a tidal wave.
The energy from all three fighters dispersed—
snuffed out like candles in a storm.
Silence.
Wind returned.
The ocean calmed.
The broken shield dissolved into harmless motes of light.
Everyone on the yacht stared in disbelief.
Goku gasped, sweat dripping off his chin. "Wh-What… was that? I couldn't… even move…"
Vegeta's eyes were wide with something he rarely felt: awe. "No… that wasn't raw power. That was… control."
Beerus straightened himself, tail flicking. His eyes narrowed with genuine curiosity.
"…Interesting. Very interesting."
Kai stood between the three of them, hands calmly in his pockets, expression neutral.
"That's enough," he said, voice steady. "You were seconds away from destroying the arena. And the Possibly half of the planet ."
He glanced at Goku and Vegeta.
"You both did great—but this is your limit for now."
Goku smiled weakly. "Heh… yeah. I guess we got carried away thanks for the saving son."
Vegeta scowled, then muttered, "…Tch."
Kai turned to Beerus.
"And you, Lord Beerus… the fight was supposed to be a spar. Not a planetary hazard."
For the first time, Beerus didn't sneer back. Instead, he studied Kai the way a hunter examines a prey interesting enough not to kill.
"Hmph. You're bold for a mortal."
Kai shrugged. "You're the one who asked for entertainment. I just kept things from getting out of hand."
Beerus's grin slowly returned.
But this time, it held something sharper. Something excited.
"You really are something… Kai."
He slid one foot back and raised a hand, aura flickering faintly.
"Tell me…
If stopping three god-level fighters was that easy for you…
What happens when you fight seriously?"
Whis blinked in surprise.
Goku gasped.
Vegeta's jaw dropped.
Kai's instincts flared—
a warm surge in his chest, that evolutionary pressure he'd been feeling for months suddenly roaring awake.
So this is it… the push I needed.
Kai raised his eyes to Beerus.
"I suppose we're about to find out."
Kai spoke those words then turned to whis and said calmly. " Fix the shield please and this time maximize their power things are about to go wild.
Whis nodded gently as Kai requested. "A stronger shield it is."
With a wave of his staff, the shattered dome reformed—this time larger, thicker, and humming with an energy even Goku and Vegeta felt in their bones.
"This one," Whis said softly, "should withstand a true battle between you two. Please try not to break everything."
Beerus cracked his knuckles as the barrier sealed. "Excellent. I haven't had a good fight in ages."
Kai stepped forward, rolling his shoulders calmly. No aura. No tension. Just quiet confidence.
Beerus smirked. "You're not transforming? Not even going to warm up?"
Kai shook his head. "Not yet. Let's enjoy this."
Beerus vanished.
BOOM!
Kai blocked the first strike—but it wasn't easy this time. Beerus's punch slid him a few meters back across the tiles, his shoes screeching lightly.
Kai grinned. "Now we're talking."
Beerus blurred forward again.
Kai parried.
Beerus flipped over him, landing a spinning heel kick that Kai barely dodged.
They exchanged blows—fast, sharp, controlled.
For the first time, Kai felt pressure.
Good… I can feel it… my body's reacting.
Beerus leapt backward, tail swaying as he sized Kai up. "You're fast. Faster than I expected. But still holding back."
Kai exhaled. "So are you."
Beerus laughed. "Fair enough."
He leaned forward slightly.
And his aura lit up—violet flames gently flickering around him.
Not full power.
Not destructive intent.
Just… seriousness.
He charged.
Kai caught the punch, but his arm trembled.
Beerus struck again—a jab to the ribs.
Kai slid back, wincing slightly.
But he smiled.
Because inside his chest…
that familiar pressure loosened just a little.
Another shackle… weakening.
Beerus didn't miss the flicker of energy inside Kai. "What was that? Your ki just spiked—like you're unlocking something."
Kai shook his hands loose. "Something like that."
They clashed again—
Shockwaves trembled through the arena.
Tiles cracked beneath their feet.
Whis watched with a calm smile.
Goku and Vegeta stared in awe.
Beerus feinted left and elbowed Kai in the jaw. Kai staggered—
but countered with a palm strike that pushed Beerus a step back.
Both smirked.
Beerus wiped a drop of sweat from his cheek. "Hah! It's been a long time since I had this much fun those guys from earlier were good but you kid ,you are the real deal."
Kai tilted his head. "Enjoying yourself?"
Beerus's grin widened. "Immensely."
The god raised two fingers.
A small spark of Destruction Energy flickered at the tip—
not enough to erase anything, just enough to add spice.
He fired.
Kai dodged, the beam grazing his cheek.
Then—
Crack.
A pressure burst inside him.
A shackle loosened.
Kai's aura flared for half a second—pure, raw, silver light—but then vanished as fast as it appeared.
Beerus's ears twitched. "There it is again… You're changing."
Kai stretched his fingers slowly, feeling the power swelling within him.
"Yeah… it's coming. I can feel it."
Beerus dashed forward with renewed excitement. "Then let's break a few more of your chains!"
Kai met him halfway.
Their fists collided—
not as a one-sided overpowering,
but as two fighters pushing each other, blow for blow, enjoying every second of the clash.
Kai grinned through the impact.
Beerus laughed like a wild cat.
The arena shook.
The barrier pulsed.
And within Kai—
Another shackle cracked.
The evolution…
was getting close.
The battle escalated, the air crackling with a force that made even Whis widen his eyes ever so slightly.
Kai and Beerus blurred across the sky, moving so fast that even Goku and Vegeta—both still glowing faintly blue—couldn't follow anything beyond streaks of color. Only Whis's eyes calmly traced each movement.
Shockwaves rolled across the arena shield with every impact. Whis hummed, tapping his staff lightly.
"Such speed… This is well beyond what Lord Beerus usually shows. And this Kai—still no transformation. Interesting."
Beerus laughed mid-exchange, dodging a palm strike that carved a spiral of pressure through the air.
"Hah! You're holding back," he barked, eyes gleaming. "You think I can't tell?!"
Kai grinned, sliding under a kick and countering with an elbow that sent Beerus skidding across the arena.
"I'm not holding back. I'm just… getting lighter."
There it was again—that sensation in Kai's body.
The shackles he had always felt unconsciously were loosening, thread by thread, moment by moment.
His steps felt freer. His muscles felt clearer. His ki flow was becoming… effortless.
Beerus reappeared behind him, striking with a fully charged Hakai-coated claw. Kai caught it with one hand, the energy sizzling harmlessly around his fingers.
Beerus's expression sharpened.
"…You really are something, kid."
Kai pushed forward, forcing Beerus back step by step without even flaring his aura. He wasn't even sweating.
"You're having fun, right?" Kai asked, smiling with genuine excitement.
Beerus bared his fangs in a grin.
"Oh, absolutely."
They clashed again—this time so violently the arena shield warped inward like a bubble hit by a meteor. Whis flicked his staff, strengthening it just in time.
"One more like that and the shield will break," Whis muttered. "Remarkable."
Kai's steps became faster. Straighter. Stronger.
His energy… purer.
Every second, the invisible restraints that had always weighed him down were peeling away.
"You're evolving mid-battle," Beerus said between blows. "That's cheating."
Kai laughed. "You're the one using Destruction Energy again."
"Tch. Fair Enough."
The two vanished—then reappeared in the center of the arena with a shockwave that rattled the planet below.
Beerus swung a full-power punch, a blow that could shatter moons.
Kai slipped inside the strike—
"Too slow, Lord Beerus."
—then unleashed one clean counter-punch to Beerus's chest.
THOOM
Beerus flew downward like a falling star, crashing into the arena and carving a crater that stretched across nearly half of it.
Silence.
Then—
"Heh… hahahaha!"
Beerus burst into laughter even while lying on his back, chest rising and falling from exertion.
Kai floated down beside him, also breathing heavier—not from lack of strength, but from pure adrenaline and excitement.
The God of Destruction pointed at him with a shaky grin.
"You… you crazy brat. Do you have any idea how long it's been since someone made me feel like this?"
Kai sat down beside him, wiping sweat from his brow.
"No idea. But I'm glad I did."
Beerus let his head fall back with a satisfied sigh.
"That punch… damn near rattled my soul. And you didn't even transform."
Kai smiled faintly, resting his hands on his knees.
"this battle have given me the push I need thank you now I'm ready for my evoltion."
Beerus laughed again—deep, genuine, thrilled.
"Good. Because when you do finish evolving… I want a rematch."
Whis descended gracefully, tapping his staff once against the ground. A soft cyan glow washed over Kai and Beerus, closing every bruise and easing every ache. Even the scorch marks on Beerus's fur faded instantly.
"There," Whis said with a warm smile. "Good as new."
Beerus stretched his arms overhead. "Mmm… much better. Though I wouldn't have minded keeping a bruise or two as souvenirs."
He shot Kai a sideways smirk. "Proof of a good fight."
Kai chuckled. "Then next time, I'll make sure to leave one."
Goku rushed over, eyes sparkling. "Kai! Son! That was insane! I couldn't see a single thing!"
He bounced on his feet like a kid. "You gotta teach me how you moved like that!"
Vegeta crossed his arms, clicking his tongue. But even he couldn't fully hide the spark in his eyes. "Tch. Impressive. Annoyingly impressive. You made the God of destruction work harder than we even managed to do even when worked toghter using super Saiyan blue transformation … without even transforming."
Chi-Chi and Bulma rushed in next, both looking half worried, half stunned.
"Kai, you fought a God of Destruction! Are you insane?!" Bulma cried—though her voice carried more awe than anger.
Chi-Chi put her hands on her hips. "Just don't destroy any planets while you're at it!"
Even Whis stared at Kai with soft amusement. "It seems you've given everyone quite a scare."
Kai stretched his arms and smiled.
"Alright. Since we're all healed… how about we head back to the boat and enjoy some food?"
Beerus's ears perked up immediately.
"Food?"
His tail flicked like an excited cat.
"Earth food?"
Whis clasped his hands together, eyes shining. "Oh my, that sounds wonderful. I never tried any of Earth cuisine
before."
Kai smirked knowingly. "You two have no idea."
Beerus leaned forward. Interested and said half serious half teasingly he doesnt mess around when it comes to food "Better?! Better than pudding?! You better not messing around or I will destroy this planet"
"Much better," Kai said confidently. "Wait till you try the full-course meals. Spices. Grilled dishes. Desserts so good let alone destroying the planet you yourself won't let anyone touch it Lord berrus."
"Hmp. Confident are you I will be the judge of that and drop the lord thing with such strength as yours just call me Berrus now leas the way " Berrus said
with surprising seriousness.
As they descended toward the ship, the atmosphere shifted—lighter, warmer.
The earlier intensity faded, replaced by laughs and excited chatter.
Krillin whispered to Piccolo, "Man… Kai just knocked lord Beerus out of the sky."
Piccolo nodded slowly. "He's not the same as before. His ki is different… it's changing it's very faint but I can feel it."
Gohan smiled proudly, relief washing over him. "Yeah… that's Kai."
The group stepped onto the deck where tables were already set with steaming dishes—rice, meats, soups, desserts, everything imaginable.
Beerus's eyes widened. "Whis… look at this spread…"
Whis inhaled deeply. "Aromatic… rich… I can feel the craftsmanship in the air."
Kai sat down, waving everyone to take a seat.
"Eat. Relax. The fight's over. Let's enjoy the moment."
Goku was already stuffing his face. "This… is… AMAZING!"
Vegeta sighed. "Kakarot, chew your food."
Everyone laughed, the tension completely broken—just warmth, joy, and the peaceful sound of waves around the ship.
For the first time since their arrival, everything felt perfectly… harmonious.
Whis finished the last bite of cake with a blissful sigh. "Mmm… exquisite. Earth truly has the most charming desserts."
Beerus patted his stomach, looking far too relaxed for a God of Destruction. "Hmph! I suppose this planet isn't as worthless as I first thought. The food alone earns it another few millennias of survival."
Kai laughed lightly. "You're welcome back anytime. Just… please don't threaten to blow up anything when you're bored."
Beerus grinned. "No promises."
Whis stood elegantly, staff in hand. "Well then, everyone… this has been quite delightful. We'll return from time to time. Lord Beerus seems to have found a reason to stay awake more often now."
Beerus shot Kai a sharp, excited look. "And you—don't get rusty. Next time, I expect an even better fight."
Kai smirked. "Looking forward to it."
With a gentle ping, Whis touched his staff to the ground, and both he and Beerus vanished in a streak of divine light.
For a moment, the deck went completely silent.
Then—
"WHOOOOOAAAAAH!" Goku practically exploded with excitement, fists pumping as he steeped and hugged his son In a bone crushing hug . "Kai, that was AWESOME! I didn't even see half of what you guys did! You are truly league beyond us son that was the god of destruction and you manged to deafeat him without even tranforming once you made me the proudest father in the whole universe !"
Vegeta crossed his arms, scowling—but the spark in his eyes betrayed him. "Tch. That damn cat didn't even use his full speed against me. But you…" He glared at Kai. "You pushed him further than Kakarot ever did with Super Saiyan Blue. Infuriating."
Kai shrugged. "Train harder then."
Vegeta's eyebrow twitched violently. "You dare—?!"
Bulma stepped between them, waving her hands. "Okay, okay! No more fighting today! My boat can't take any more!"
Krillin blew out a long breath. "Man… I thought Lord Beerus was gonna sneeze and destroy us."
Android 18 nodded. "Honestly, same."
Piccolo just closed his eyes. "…At least he left in a good mood."
Goten and Trunks bounced around Kai like excited puppies. "Kai! Kai! When can we spar again?!" "Yeah! Teach us those crazy moves!"
Kai ruffled their hair. "When you two stop blowing up half the training floor."
Chi-Chi rushed over, flailing her arms. "Kai! You scared me to death! Fighting a God of Destruction—are you trying to give me a heart attack?!"
Kai said unfazed by his mother. " there was nothing else beside I'm the strongest here and worst case scenario even if I wasn't here with dad and Vegeta it would have been their defeat and Lord berrus would spare the planet he is not that unreadable you know…"
"I guess you are right".chichi said surrendering to reality.
The chaos was interrupted when Gohan cleared his throat loudly.
"Uh… hey, everyone. There's something Videl and I want to announce."
Videl stepped forward, blushing slightly but smiling.
Immediately — EVERYONE gathered around.
Goku leaned in with sparkling eyes. "Ooh, what is it?! Something cool?!"
Vegeta muttered. "This better not be another silly school story…"
Videl squeezed Gohan's hand and spoke clearly.
"I'm pregnant."
The deck EXPLODED with reactions —
Goku: "EHHHHHHHHHHH?!! I'M GONNA BE A GRANDPAAAAA?!" He spun around so fast he created a mini-tornado.
Chi-Chi: "MY BABY IS HAVING A BABY?!! THIS IS AMAZING! BUT ALSO SO SUDDEN! BUT AMAZING!" She grabbed Videl in a crushing hug.
Bulma: "Awwww! That's wonderful! Congratulations, you two!"
Krillin: "Hah! Gohan, you work fast!"
18 smacked the back of his head. "Don't be weird."
Piccolo: He smiled — a real, subtle smile. "…congratulations , Gohan."
Trunks and Goten: "WE'RE GONNA BE UNCLES?!!"
Vegeta: He looked away, arms crossed, hiding a smirk. "Hmph. Another Saiyan to surpass Kakarot's brat one day."
Gohan sweatdropped. "Uh… thanks, Uncle Vegeta?"
Kai stepped over, smiling warmly. "Congrats, you two. That's amazing news."
Videl nodded. "Thanks, Kai. We wanted everyone to hear it together."
As the sun set over the ocean, laughter echoed across the deck. Beerus was gone, the danger was gone, and joy settled around them like a soft blanket.
It was chaos. It was noisy. And it was perfect.
At Lord berrus and whis side
______________
The cosmos drifted quietly around them as Whis and Beerus soared through space, leaving Earth behind in a bright trail of divine light.
Beerus finally broke the silence with a low grumble.
"…Whis."
"Yes, Lord Beerus?" the angel replied, his tone light as he tasted the last crumbs of Earth's cake from his spoon.
Beerus scowled into the void.
"That Saiyan… Kai. Just what is he?"
Whis's staff glowed softly as he floated beside his deity.
"He is certainly extraordinary. His growth, his energy patterns… they defy normal Saiyan logic."
Beerus folded his arms tightly, tail flicking with irritation. "Extraordinary is one way to put it. He fought me without transforming. Didn't break a sweat. And… he kept getting stronger during the fight."
Whis nodded calmly. "Yes. His ki was rising with each exchange. Almost like he was shedding something… invisible."
Beerus clicked his tongue. "It's unsettling."
Whis suddenly tilted his head, looking mildly curious.
"But, Lord Beerus… if it unsettles you, why take such an interest in him?"
Beerus blinked. "Huh?"
Whis went on, voice thoughtful — analytical.
"You've always taken note of mortals who seek dominance, power, or control. Freeza, King Cold, the Saiyan race in its prime… they all had ambition or danger tied to them."
He gave a soft smile. "But Kai is nothing like that. According to my observations… he has no intention of ruling anything. He doesn't seek to conquer planets. He barely even leaves Earth."
Beerus's eyes narrowed slightly.
Whis continued gently, as if reading from an internal report: "He lives calmly. He enjoys food, training, simple pleasures. Even with a power level rivaling yours, he hasn't shown the slightest desire to impose control. He hasn't abused his strength. Not once."
The angel tapped his staff lightly. "And yet… you want to keep an eye on him. Why?"
Beerus's ears twitched. He looked away, offended that the question had cornered him so effectively.
"Whis…"
"Yes, Lord Beerus?"
Beerus let out a slow, thoughtful breath.
"…He's interesting."
Whis blinked. "Interesting?"
Beerus snapped, "YES, interesting! Is that so strange?!"
Whis chuckled softly. "Not at all, my lord. Just… an unexpected development."
Beerus crossed his arms, tail flicking. "Hmph. That boy… he doesn't want to rule anything. He doesn't crave control, destruction, or fear. He's nothing like Frieza or those power-hungry mortals."
His eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "He doesn't even seem obsessed with being the strongest."
Whis nodded lightly. "From my observations, Kai seems content living peacefully on Earth."
Beerus clicked his tongue. "He just enjoys fighting. Like Goku… but without the idiocy. He's calmer. More stable."
A faint, reluctant smile tugged at his lips. "Tch. He even fights smarter than that idiotic father of his."
Whis tilted his head slightly, eyes glimmering. "Then why are you so intent on keeping an eye on him? You know he has no intention of challenging your authority."
Beerus paused… then exhaled slowly.
"It's not about authority."
His tone lost its usual arrogance, settling into something more honest.
"When I fought him seriously… even without transforming, he fought me to my limit. My limit, Whis. And if he had transformed—even once—I doubt I would've stood a chance."
Whis gave a serene smile. "A flawless assessment. But still… that means you're not worried. So what is it? Curiosity? Excitement?"
Beerus' ears twitched. "W-Whis, don't twist my words!"
But the embarrassed look said enough.
After a moment, he continued, quieter:
"…A fighter like him is rare. Someone who pushes me. Someone who reminds me why fighting is fun. A rival… maybe."
His golden eyes gleamed with something fierce. "He's worth watching. He lit a fire I haven't felt in a long, long time."
Whis clasped his hands behind his back. "My, my. How unusual of you, Lord Beerus. To find someone you genuinely respect."
Beerus turned his head away, though his smug grin returned.
"Tch. I'm just… keeping things interesting. The universe would be boring without challenges."
Whis floated beside him, gentle and knowing. "Indeed. Things are becoming quite lively again."
Beerus laughed, deep and satisfied.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way."
