Chapter 10 - Chapter 9: Welcome to The Hazbin Hotel

POV 3rd Person

Charlie was currently in a good mood. Despite being ridiculed live on TV yesterday for her grand ambition of wanting to redeem sinners, things were looking up!

After all, she now got help for the hotel! Granted, that help came in the form of Alastor. Who openly mocked her and blatantly stated he was only there for his own entertainment.

"Help is help!" Charlie thought to herself. "Only way this will work is if I keep going forward with a positive mindset!"

Charlie walked down from her room towards the lobby on the first floor. She was currently thinking of things to do to try to convince others to join the hotel as well as how to start with Angel's redemption.

When she finally got to the bottom floor, she saw mostly everyone there. Husk was wiping down the counter of his bar, trying his best to ignore Angel's sexual advances. Nifty was zooming all around the lobby, dusting the walls and stabbing any insect that she found.

As for Alastor? He was currently nowhere to be found. Which didn't surprise Charlie at all.

"Hey sweetie!" Vaggie walked up from her right of Charlie and hugged her. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing great!" Charlie responded, "I am glad everyone seems to be getting along so far!"

"Yeah..." Vaggie said, looking at Husk cussing out Angel for the third time this morning. "Getting along."

Charlie turned towards Vaggie and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips before asking, "Do you know where Alastor is? I think I have a way to try to convince sinners to join the hotel!"

Before Vaggie could reply, Alastor materialized right behind her. Scaring both Vaggie and Charlie.

"You called dear?"

"You piece of shit!/Ah, Alastor!" Vaggie and Charlie responded at the same time.

"Don't sneak up on me, you-" Vaggie started before Charlie quickly cut her off.

"Hehe, um Alastor! Maybe next time please don't try to sneak up on us like that again? Please!?" Charlie asked nicely with a warm smile on her face.

Alastor acted like he was thinking about her response before giving a definitive "Nope!" and started to walk away.

"Wait, wait!"

"What is it that you need, Charlie?" Alastor asked, still walking away.

"I was thinking of ways to invite other sinners to join the hotel and-"

Before Charlie could finish her sentence, the ground started rumbling. Causing everyone to quickly grab onto something so they don't end up falling over.

"Seems like an interesting person decided to visit us today." Alastor said, his ever-present smile became creepy as he suddenly disappeared into the shadows. Causing everyone to grow confused.

The rumbling slowly grew stronger as Charlie finally snapped out of her confusion, excitement replacing it.

"Wait, did he say someone came to visit!?"

POV Julius

Ignorance is bliss. I always thought about whether that statement was true or not. Is ignorance truly bliss? There were a lot of arguments that could be made for both sides of this conversation.

My opinion? Honestly, no. It is not. "Ignorance" by definition is the lack of information or knowledge. Who willingly doesn't want to be informed or know things?

Even for me, who spent most of my time working right out of high school, knew quite a bit. Granted, it was a bunch of random shit that probably wasn't important, but I knew a lot!

So I can equate that lot of issues that exist in people's lives could be avoided if they were simply knowledgeable. To be knowledgeable is to know. And some people need to know their place in life.

Just like the five jackasses that tried to take advantage of me in the alley didn't know their place. If they were knowledgeable, this could have been avoided. Unfortunately for them, I taught them their place. And they will keep being taught their place for the rest of eternity.

How are they being taught, you ask? Well, just look at what I got using my 6 rolls yesterday!

[Acquired Legendary Artifact: Enchanted Carriage of Eternal Paradise and Punishment!]

[Enchanted Carriage of Eternal Paradise and Punishment: A legendary artifact vehicle specifically tailored made for Julius by the creator! The carriage is made up of materials from neutron stars, making its weight and density immense. It has many enchantments and has different effects depending on whether it is for Paradise or Punishment!

Paradise: Only for Julius and those he specifically allows inside the carriage. The inside of the carriage is spacious and those inside experience life's greatest pleasures tailored for them (i.e. if a rider prefers to feel cold, they personally experience a colder atmosphere). Gives out free food and drinks (based on personal preference) and has time dilation changeable to Julius's choice!

Punishment: For those who are made to pull the carriage. Those being punished will be forced to pull the carriage unless told otherwise. While pulling the carriage, they will experience the full weight of the neutron stars the carriage is made of. If unable to, they will experience their skin and bones being torn apart. Their nerves and organs being burned. This effect becomes permanent the moment the carriage stops being pulled. Once pulled again, previous effects will stay but each time afterwards the pain of the punishment will be doubled (i.e. 2, 4, 8, 16, etc.) indefinitely.

AC: AC, or otherwise known as Added Clauses, are clauses Julius has added as a bonus by the creator!

AC 1: Those being punished shall be "rewarded" with the physical pleasure of their greatest desires when the carriage is not being pulled (does not apply when command to stop by Julius is given).

AC 2: Each time the punished are "rewarded", the next "reward" shall increase by double indefinitely.

AC 3: If the punished enjoy the "reward", the pain of punishment shall be increased by another twofold.

AC 4: Those punished will stay fully conscious through both their punishments and "rewards".]

Well worth the rolls being spent! I also made sure to castrate them with an angelic dagger I bought from Carmilla so they could never use their junk again! Fuck those losers and any who cross me in the future! HAHAHAHA!!!

Currently, I am enjoying my favorite meal and beverage. The good o' classic meatloaf with mash potatoes and mac and cheese along with water (can't ever go wrong with water!). Scrolling through my phone responding to texts from Carmilla and her daughters.

Never expected such spicy things to be said from Carmilla's two seemingly reserved daughters. Don't know how she will respond if she knew what they were texting me. Kind of makes me scared.

That's beside the point! I can tell the carriage started going uphill, so we must be getting close to the hotel. I should probably use my last roll now that I think about it. The creator did say he made sure my last roll will be amazing, right? Must mean it will be Mythic rank, RIGHT!?

 "System, use my last roll!"

[Damn, about time.]

"What was that?"

[Rolling!]

The familiar sound of slot machines rolling sounded again, but this time the noise only lasted ten seconds before the "Ding! Ding! Ding!" happened.

[CONGRATULATIONS! Acquired Mythic rank Companion!]

YES! MYTHIC RANK! LET'S GO!!!

Wait, companion? I could get a companion? What qualifies as a companion?

[Companion refers to any person, being, or entity that can be summoned. (Warning! Companion pulls aren't guaranteed to be friendly!)]

Wow, system. So nice. I can pull people who would want to kill me off rip!? Amazing.

[This current companion you rolled isn't the type to be hostile immediately! Unfortunately, there is a "complication" happening with the companion at the moment so it will take at least one day for complications to be resolved!]

Well, both of those things are concerning. Who could it possibly be for a complication to happen with the system!?

I thought about who the companion could be for awhile before the carriage came to a sudden stop. Someone must have gotten in the way. It looks like we are here!

"Alright, stop the carriage." I gave the official order to stop. I put my hair in a ponytail and stood up, ready to leave the carriage.

It's finally time to meet the princess and get a room!

POV Charlie

I was practically bouncing in place as I saw the weird looking carriage come up the hill. I could barely contain my excitement! Is this a sinner coming to seek redemption!? Judging from the five pulling the carriage having cosmic purple chains around their necks, I could guess that the sinner in the carriage was an Overlord.

Not sure why an Overlord would possibly look for redemption, but that doesn't matter! Even if they aren't looking for redemption, maybe they're looking to help out! Oh, I can't wait!!!

The carriage finally got over the hill and made its way to the front of the building but didn't look like it was going to stop. This doesn't look good...

"Um, Ala-"

Before I could ask Alastor if he could see what's going on, he appeared in front of the front-most sinner, who looked like a shark demon. At Alastors sudden appearance, all five sinners stopped and their bodies started tearing apart. The noises coming from them sounded like a horrendous mix between screams and moans.

"What the fuck, Alastor!? What did you do to them?" Vaggie yelled, horrified by the scene in front of everyone. In fact, everyone beside Alastor looked horrified. He simply looked back at us, confused.

"Sorry my dear, but this was not my doing!"

"Alright, stop the carriage."

A voice came from the carriage, and the five sinner's bodies stopped pulling apart along with their screams/moans. They were panting and shivering. Clearly from the feeling of having their limbs being torn apart.

A second later, the carriage door opened and out walked a sinner. Well, he looked rather human for a sinner. Honestly, he could pass for a human if you took away his horns, tail, and the red in the sclera of his eyes.

I couldn't help but feel a blush appearing on my cheeks. I had to admit; this sinner was handsome! He also seemed rich, judging by his expensive looking outfit. Could he be a powerful Overlord like Alastor?

Everyone watched as the sinner calmly walked up to me, ignoring Alastor. Whose eye seemed to twitch a bit.

My blush grew as he stopped right in front of me. Wow, he's so tall! And in very, hah, very good shape.

He must have noticed my blush and small sigh, because he smiled softly at me and raised a hand towards me. Speaking with a smooth, deep voice.

"Hello, the names Julius! Nice to meet you, Princess! You have any rooms available?"
