POV Carmilla
I yawned as I slowly began to wake up. I noticed a pair of muscular arms wrapped around my waist and chest. I smiled as I snuggled into Julius. This was the most comfortable I have felt since I came to Hell.
I stayed in Julius's arms for a bit, thinking of what I needed to do for today. First off, Julius agreed to help study his Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown with me to see if we could add its magical spells into angelic weaponry.
The second thing I needed to do was call Zestial and tell him about my new boyfriend. We have been close to each other for a long time, and I even had a crush on him until recently. But having friends in Hell is rare; best friends are even more rare. Because of that, Zestial and I silently agreed to not pursue anything romantic with each other.
Finally, I needed to sort through all the necessary documents and data needed for the Overlord meeting that will happen in a month. This extermination was especially brutal, and us Overlords need to come up with agreements with each other as to not step on each other's toes.
I yawned again as I stretched and looked at the time. It was 12:32pm. Crap, the alarm must have not rang out. Julius and I were supposed to get ready at 11:30am and be in the workshop by 12pm.
I turned over in Julius's arms and flinched in place. Julius was awake, just silently watching me with a small smile on his face.
But that was not what made me flinch. For the briefest moment I could have sworn I saw his eyes, his dazzling blue eyes, change to yellow and had two sets of red rings in his irises. The moment I looked into those eyes, it felt as if someone had just looked deep into my soul.
I blinked a couple of times before I looked at Julius again. His eyes were back to normal, and a blush appeared on his face.
"Um... good morning!" Julius awkwardly said.
Maybe it was just my imagination.
"Good morning, baby." I replied as I kissed my new man on his lips. "We should really get ready for the day."
"Or," Julius said between kisses, "We could stay in bed for a bit longer."
