Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Goku Battle's Dark God Rishi

The morning was quiet inside the small house under the mountain. The sun had just started to climb into the sky, painting everything soft orange and pink. Inside the bedroom, two Saiyan girls, Caulifla and Kale, were still sleeping on a huge, fluffy bed. The sheets were warm, the air smelled like sweet flowers, and everything felt peaceful.

The door opened with a little creak.

"Hey, Caulifla… I'm back," Goku said in his usual cheerful voice. He stepped inside, still wearing his orange gi, a little sweaty from flying. "I'm heading out again to train and look for Piccolo. Something feels wrong. I can feel it deep in my bones, like a bad storm is coming."

He clenched his fists tight, turned the doorknob, stepped out, and closed the door behind him with a loud BAM that shook the walls a little.

Kale's eyes opened slowly. She yawned so big her whole body stretched. Still half-asleep, she rolled over and looked at Caulifla.

"Where's he going?" she asked in her shy, soft voice.

Caulifla smiled, eyes still closed, and let out a long, lazy "Awwwn…" yawn. "To train, Kale. Same as always. Don't worry about him. He'll be fine. We belong to him now, remember?" She giggled, rolled onto her back, and stretched like a cat. The blanket fell away, showing her strong, naked body glowing in the morning light. Her skin looked fresh and soft, her breasts full and round, her hips curved perfectly. She didn't care; she felt safe and happy.

Kale nodded, cheeks a little pink. "Okay, Caulifla." She lay back down, turning toward the edge of the bed. Her own body was just as beautiful—long legs, thick thighs, big soft breasts that moved when she breathed. She closed her eyes again, snuggling into the warm pillow.

Everything was calm.

Then…

BOOOOM!

The whole house shook hard. Glasses fell off the table and shattered. The bed jumped. Dust fell from the ceiling.

Goku stopped walking outside. His eyes went wide. "What was that?!"

Far away, on a huge battlefield that used to be a city, the sky was dark with smoke. Mountains were broken into pieces. Rivers of blood ran between the rocks. Thousands of Saiyans—men, women, even little children—lay still on the ground, never to move again.

In the middle of all that death stood Piccolo. His green skin was covered in blood. His left arm was gone, only a bleeding stump left. His clothes were torn to pieces; only his purple pants still hung on his body. He could barely stand.

A strange, terrifying man held him up by the neck. The man had burning red eyes, long red hair that moved like fire, and a body full of scars and muscles bigger than Jiren's. He wore golden armor with symbols of destruction all over it. His power felt darker and heavier than anything the universe had ever seen.

"You may kill me," Piccolo said, laughing even though blood poured from his mouth, "but you will never escape him… and his rage."

The red-eyed man smiled like a monster. "I will conquer this entire multiverse. Gods, angels, even Zeno himself—they will all kneel or die."

Piccolo spat blood. "Ha! What a joke. You're strong—stronger than anyone I just watched you murder—but you are nothing compared to him."

CRACK.

With one quick move, the man snapped Piccolo's neck like a dry twig. The Namekian's body went limp.

"This multiverse will tremble before me," the man said proudly. "I am Rishi, the Dark God of Destruction. And I have returned."

Piccolo's dead body fell toward the ground.

A second later—SWOOSH!—Goku appeared out of nowhere, catching his best friend gently in his arms. Tears already filled his eyes as he floated down and laid Piccolo on the broken earth.

"Piccolo… Piccolo!" Goku shook him, voice breaking. "Come on, buddy, say something!"

Nothing. Piccolo's eyes stayed closed forever.

Goku hugged his friend tight against his chest and cried without shame. Tears fell like rain.

High above, Rishi floated with arms wide open, looking at all the destruction he had caused. The rising sun painted the sky red, the same color as all the blood on the ground.

"Know pain," Rishi said, voice deep and cruel. "Death comes to everyone who will not bow to me. And this… this is only the first universe."

Goku slowly looked up. His tears stopped. His face changed from sadness to pure fury.

"You…" he whispered.

BOOM!

In an instant, bright blue light exploded around Goku. His hair turned ocean-blue, his eyes glowed like lightning. Super Saiyan Blue God. The ground cracked open wide beneath him. Wind screamed. The ocean miles away rose in huge waves.

"You will pay!" Goku roared.

He shot forward like a missile. Rishi only had time to turn before—

BAM!

Their fists crashed together so hard the sky itself seemed to break. Shockwaves rolled across the planet, knocking down what few trees were still standing.

"You're strong, Saiyan," Rishi said with an evil smile, "but not strong enough."

He punched Goku right in the stomach. The hit was so powerful Goku's whole body bent around the fist. Blood flew from his mouth. He flew backward hundreds of feet before he could stop.

Goku wiped the blood from his lips and rushed back in. BAM! His own punch hit Rishi straight in the face.

The punch could have destroyed a star… but Rishi didn't even blink. He just stood there, grinning.

Before Goku could move again—SWOOSH!—Rishi vanished and reappeared all around him, faster than light. Punch after punch after punch landed on Goku's body—chest, back, ribs, face. Each hit sounded like a bomb. Mountains far away crumbled just from the force.

Finally, one huge uppercut sent Goku crashing down into the ground.

BOOM!

A crater the size of a city formed. Dust and smoke filled the air. When it cleared, Goku was on one knee, breathing hard, blood dripping from his mouth and nose. His gi was torn. Bruises covered his skin. But his eyes never left Rishi.

"I am Rishi," the monster said again, floating down until he hovered right in front of Goku. "The true Dark God of Destruction. Submit… or die."

Goku slowly looked around one more time—at the thousands of dead Saiyans, at the little children lying in the dirt, at Piccolo's broken body. His best friend, gone forever.

His fists closed so tight that blood dripped from between his fingers.

The air started to burn. The ground started to melt. Goku's blue aura exploded bigger and brighter than ever before.

"Never," he whispered.

Then he screamed.

"KAIO-KEN!"

BOOM!

Red fire wrapped around the blue aura. His power shot up so fast the whole planet shook like it was about to explode.

"Kaio-ken… TIMES TWENTY!"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The sky cracked open with red lightning. The ocean rose up in walls of water taller than mountains. Every piece of rock on the ground floated into the air.

Goku's eyes burned pure white. His hair danced between blue and red flames. The power coming off him was so great it hurt to even look at him.

Rishi's evil smile finally disappeared.

Goku looked straight into the monster's red eyes and spoke with a voice that shook the stars themselves.

"You took my best friend. You murdered children. You destroyed everything a peaceful planet."

He took one step forward. The ground under his foot turned to glass from the heat.

"I don't care if you're a god. I don't care if you're the strongest thing that ever lived."

Another step. Lightning crashed around him.

"I'm going to beat you until there's nothing left."

And then, with a roar that every living thing in the universe heard in their hearts, Goku launched himself at the Dark God of Destruction.

The real battle had only just begun.
