Neil gazed at the vast kitchen in surprise; it was completely different from inside.
"…" Bob finally felt better upon seeing Neil's surprised expression, he was the type who loved hearing praises.
"These are the cooks of our domain, Fay and Ray, they are siblings and are great at cooking." Bob explained, pointing towards the nervous pair.
Fay and Ray appeared to be the meek type, despite Bob telling them about their new lord, the two were nervous about how their new life would be.
"Welcome to the Graveyard." Neil nodded at the siblings.
So by purchasing the kitchen, along with this large space and all the materials, he also got subjects.
This was certainly a great deal.
"T- Thank you, lord!" the two dropped to their knees, bowing deeply.
"Get up, there is no need for that." Neil said, before asking: "You two don't remember anything about your previous life either?"
"No…" Ray said in a low voice, as the two got up.
The pair of siblings released a sigh of relief, it really seemed their lord wasn't a lunatic or something.
He appeared to be a calm and dignified lord.
"And for you to create food, do I need to provide raw materials?" Neil continued asking.
"You can, but we can p- purchase that directly from the shop, so for four uh five people…" Ray looked at the familiar and corrected himself, then continued:
"We would need to spend a total of around 40 or so shards a day. O- Of course by eating less we two can certainly bring lord's expenses dow-"
"That is fine, prepare something good for me around hmm 8 hours from now."
After saying that, Neil gave them a total of 480 Shards.
[Shards: 3000]
The number of people in the domain was only going to increase, so it still might not last an entire month.
"We will do our best, lord!" The siblings said together.
After taking one last look around the kitchen, Neil and Bob made their way out of there.
There were even rooms for the chefs to sleep, everything was quite good, but certainly needed to be upgraded in the future.
"Great job, Bob, your skills are impressive." Patting the dwarf's shoulder, Neil praised.
"Haha Thank you my lord, I am not all that good." Bob rubbed the back of his head, smiling ear to ear.
"You can go rest now too- wait, after that hmm…" Neil once again gazed at the shop.
He currently had three thousand shards.
[You have purchased the 2nd Builder Hut.]
[1200 Shards used.]
[Shards: 1800]
[You have purchased the Barrack.]
[1000 Shards used.]
[Shards: 800]
With that he would have another builder very soon, which means faster production of buildings.
Neil told Bob to keep the new builder hut beside the existing one and the barrack to be made behind the kitchen.
Thankfully, they could be upgraded and were movable, so he didn't need to worry about ruining the look.
"And I am back to 800, anyway that's all for now. Go rest."
Neil turned and entered the core building, he just wanted to sleep now.
Opening the first door on the left, he walked into his bedroom, the place was clean and well organized with only a few items present.
Without paying much attention to anything, he just fell onto the bed, and before long, fell asleep over the comfortable mattress.
***
The first of the three days was close to ending when Neil woke up.
Getting freshened up, he changed into a comfortable set of clothes, turning his battle armor into his bracelet.
Thankfully he didn't have to worry about food, he had a luxury like no other lord.
There were still over two days for the creation of the mythic class creature, so Neil directly headed outside.
Stepping out of his house, he looked around.
And there already was another builder hut beside Bob's house.
Looking to the other side, behind the kitchen, the two builders had already started working on the new building.
"G- Greetings Lord." Fay was the first to notice Neil's presence, as she bowed and greeted.
"My lord, you are here!" Bob hurried towards Neil while dragging his new friend along.
"This is Rob, my new sworn brother and the new builder in the territory.
We can work together or separately, if you don't want to build anything else then we can finish the barrack in a day." Bob reported.
Turning to look at Rob, Neil repeated the same sentence for the third time: "Welcome to the Graveyard."
"Thank you, my lord, I will do my best at whatever you want me to build. I will forever remain loyal to you!"
Rob seemed quite the enthusiastic type.
"Alright, have you guys eaten?" Neil smelled the delicious scent drifting out of the kitchen, his hunger increased.
"No, we planned to do it soon." Rob answered.
"Stop the work for now, and let's see how good our chefs are."
And so, the three made their way into the kitchen, where the siblings were already done preparing.
"Please take a seat here, lord."
There was a special room built separately for Neil in the kitchen, in which everything appeared even more refined and classic.
Neil, Bob and Rob sat around a big table and looked at the menu Ray had just provided.
While the familiar slept on the table.
There were quite a lot of items, many that Neil was surprised to see there.
"Please bring panzerotti, spiced grilled venison kebab and minestrone soup." Neil felt his mouth watering just from the menu, he added:
"And also this wine, Charmcaster. That's all."
"Alright lord, what about you? And should we bring something for our small friend?" Ray wrote down his order, then looked at the two dwarves and Magnar.
"He is fine." Neil said, his familiar needed gene points mainly.
"Bring this and this and that too, this one and that." The two chose several things, Ray nodded and headed back.
In less than a minute, he returned with a table full of hot and delicious food.
Ray and Fay served the food and remained standing.
"Why don't you join us as well?" Neil said, there were many empty seats.
"We will eat later, but please taste them and tell us if they are to your liking or if you need something else."
Ray seemed less nervous now, though Fay still stood behind her brother.
The siblings both seemed to be in their late twenties and looked quite pleasant to the eye.
They wore white chef outfits.
Nodding, Neil leaned forward, taking a deep breath.
The scent was just mouth watering.
Then, one by one, he tasted the three dishes.
"Mmm This is perfect, everything is just how I like it." Neil closed his eyes, letting the wonderful taste relax both his body and mind.
Even the ingredients used weren't simple, all of them were meant to make one's body and mind stronger.
"Yes, I love GULP this, I have never eaten anything like that though this is my first meal in this new life." Rob said, devouring the food like crazy.
"This is so good, CHEW CHEW GULP Do you have more?" Bob asked, he had already finished several dishes.
Both Ray and Fay had bright smiles on their faces, their fear and nervousness were slowly disappearing.
And soon, the group of five sat together, eating the wonderful food.
…
After around twenty minutes…
Neil walked out of his domain, rubbing his belly.
The food was even more delicious than Aunt May's cooking, he ended up eating a bit too much.
Bob and Rob got back to their work, working together to finish the barrack.
It was time to start the second day's hunt.
