Chapter 16 - Chapter Fifteen Obi-Wan

On the afternoon Jango Fett completed the agreement with Almec, he and his Slave I had already arrived above Sundari.

"Please state your identity and access code, otherwise you will be shot down," ground personnel at Sundari Spaceport warned. At the same time, two viking fighters rose into the air, closely flanking Slave I.

Jango Fett calmly inserted his access code, "Jango Fett."

"Identification complete. Welcome to Sundari, Mr. Fett. Please park at Spaceport Eight," the ground personnel said, giving the landing location after successful identification.

After landing, Jango Fett, accompanied by his adjutant and several other orthodox Mandalorians, left the spaceport and began to tour the areas controlled by the New Mandalorians.

Kote Vizsla, who was practicing his sword forms, and Satine Kryze, who was handling state affairs, ate dinner together as a family in the evening after a busy day. A guard sent a message saying that Jango Fett had arrived in Sundari with his people.

"? Shouldn't he be arriving tomorrow?" Kote Vizsla, eating bread, was momentarily stunned.

"Perhaps he's assessing our strength. After all, since Father's death, other factions generally have no goodwill towards us, and some have even become hostile, feeling that I am not a Mandalorian," Satine Kryze said, playing with her knife and fork. Just talking about it made her extremely weary.

"Let's just pretend we don't know about it. Let's eat first," Kote Vizsla said, too lazy to think. Thinking too much every day was tiring. Since things were as they were, it was better to eat first.

Little Bo-Katan had no idea what the two were talking about and just kept her head down, eating.

As night fell, Kote Vizsla made a great leap directly onto the roof's eaves, sitting down to look at the moon in the sky. Not long after, Obi-Wan also jumped onto the eaves.

"Hello there," Obi-Wan said, steadying himself and addressing the seated Kote Vizsla.

"Hello, Obi-Wan. How do you have time to be here? I thought you'd be scowling at me all day and reciting the Creed every day," Kote Vizsla said, lying down to make himself more comfortable.

"Is that so? Perhaps it's because I've only been exposed to those things since childhood, and my peers are the same. In fact, this is only my fourth mission in life. I never imagined there would be a world where people with the same culture and history have been engaged in a civil war for over a decade. Before this, I had only seen it in holograms, but I never intended to be malicious towards you. I'm just a little unaccustomed..." Obi-Wan also sat down.

"Really? Well, for me, this is just everyday life. By the way, do you like my Cousin?" Kote Vizsla interrupted Obi-Wan, dropping a bombshell.

"! What are you saying? Jedi cannot fall in love with others. Although she is very good, Jedi cannot have too many attachments. But I didn't expect to find someone like Satine, a person with ideals of peace, among the Mandalorians," Obi-Wan said, forgetting what he had originally intended to say, speaking from the heart.

"So you like her, but you can't because of the Jedi dogma?" Kote Vizsla asked.

"I haven't thought about it that way, but perhaps I do like her a little. Do you have someone you like?" At this moment, Obi-Wan was like a sixteen-year-old child who wasn't a Jedi, communicating with a peer.

"I'm just an eleven-year-old child," Kote Vizsla said helplessly. Even if he wanted to, he hadn't finished developing, although he was already tall enough.

"Sometimes I really feel like you're not a child. You're calm and collected, even more mature than I was on my first mission."

"I started living alone after I was eight, only coming to my Cousin's place occasionally. But after my Cousin went to Coruscant for school, I stayed by myself. Then, after I picked up the first child, it became unstoppable. How was your first mission?"

"You've long had a Jedi-like spirit, while I am still learning to become a true Jedi. That was an accident; Great Master Qui-Gon overslept, and I started my mission alone. Of course, I completed it without much danger. Do you have any dreams?" Obi-Wan spoke freely to the eleven-year-old boy. These were things he couldn't say to the apprentices and Great Masters in the Jedi Temple, or even to his own Master.

"Then forget those dogmas. Rigid dogmas won't produce the best Jedi. Besides, I also want to be able to leave Mandalore, travel freely in the Universe, and help those in need," Kote Vizsla said, gazing at the boundless Universe, lost in thought.

"Hmm, I really like flying spaceships. If I weren't a Jedi, I suppose I'd be doing that too," Obi-Wan mused, imagining what he'd be like if he weren't a Jedi.

"Obi-Wan, just be your truest self. Great Master Qui-Gon is the same; haven't you noticed he's quite free-spirited?"

"I just want Master to think I..."

"If it's only for Master, then you will forever remain just an apprentice."

"Alright, perhaps you're right, but you're still just a little child."

"My Cousin likes you. The Force told me," Kote Vizsla said again, stating the fact that Satine Kryze liked Obi-Wan, which surprised Obi-Wan with the rapid shift in topic, causing him to accidentally fall directly from the rooftop.

"Whoa!" *Thud!* Obi-Wan fell directly from the second floor.

"Are you alright?" Kote Vizsla asked.

"If it's just a bit of pain all over but a broken bone, then that's not bad," Obi-Wan quipped.

At this moment, Satine Kryze heard the sound and poked her head out. "What are you doing here, Obi-Wan?"

"Would you believe me if I said I was looking for traces of bounty hunters around here?" Obi-Wan said, feigning a search.

"Hahahahaha, did you fall from the building?" Satine Kryze covered her mouth and laughed, looking at the dusty Obi-Wan.

Kote Vizsla! That damned kid always said surprising things. Obi-Wan was too embarrassed to be seen. He pulled up his hood and quickly ran off. Satine Kryze thought Obi-Wan was really cute, while Kote Vizsla lay on the roof, watching the scurrying Obi-Wan, who would occasionally glance back at Kote Vizsla.

"When will those two get married? What would their child be named if they had one? Would it be Anakin?" Kote Vizsla muttered softly from above.

Thus, the night quickly passed. The next morning, Jango Fett and his people officially met Kote Vizsla and the others.

"How was it, Obi-Wan? Did you find the bounty hunters, hahahaha?" Kote Vizsla poked Obi-Wan next to him. Satine Kryze, hearing this, also struggled to hold back her laughter. But the puzzled Qui-Gon and Almec next to them wondered why these children had gone so crazy overnight.

"Hello, Mr. Fett, I am Satine Kryze. This is Almec, the current Prime Minister of the New Mandalorian Government. These two are Jedi Masters from Cris, and this is..." Satine Kryze, as the leader of the New Mandalorians, introduced everyone during the first meeting with Jango Fett, the leader of the orthodox Mandalorians.

"There's no need to introduce this one, Duchess. I know him, Kote Vizsla, one of your New Mandalorians' highest Commanders, but with the best record. Immediately upon taking office, he personally led a team to destroy a Death Watch arms depot. Truly a hero in his youth! However, there are many bounty hunters in Sundari waiting for the heads of you, Duchess, and Kote Vizsla," Jango Fett expressed his admiration for Kote Vizsla.

"It's an honor, Mr. Fett, but let's first discuss the treaty for jointly fighting Death Watch," Kote Vizsla said, suggesting they go inside. Why talk outside all day? Wasn't it uncomfortable sitting?
