Fragrant, savory smell slipped away from the open door, inviting passersby to come inside. In a feat nothing short of a miracle, Eugene came inside while ignoring the delicious scent.
Instead of the food, he followed the broad back in a white dress shirt typical of an office worker. One of the waiters guided them to an empty table, and Eugene ordered whatever he found on the first page.
Once the waiter was gone, Eugene did not waste more time and immediately leaned onto the table. "Hey, what did you mean earlier?"
Eliott laughed at the unmasked impatience. "You don't believe me, do you? How do I say this..." he patted his palm with the chopsticks before using them to point at Eugene. "You were like our glue."
"How so?" Eugene tilted his head. "I didn't even show up that often in the first place."
