Bringing Hannah to see the man he used to like?
Eugene felt weird. And he felt weird for feeling weird. It was a crush from...what? Twelve years ago? Even people who used to be in relationships wouldn't keep their feelings for that long. Honestly, other than nostalgia, Eugene wasn't sure he still had any feelings toward Eliott.
Meaning, if he did bring Hannah to a meeting with Eliott, it would be like meeting an old friend, like bringing Hannah to meet Claudio.
Speaking of which, he still had to bring Hannah to meet Claudio. The guy had been asking about her since that shopping day.
The problem was...he didn't feel weird at all when he made a plan to bring Hannah to Claudio's wedding. It shouldn't be different, but he felt different.
He felt uncomfortable, a churning sensation in his stomach that he often associated with guilt.
If it was before he met Arthur...no, if it was before they told Hannah that Arthur was her father, he wouldn't be feeling so conflicted.
