Chapter 5 - Future Plans

Su wen and Headmaster Michael, both were sitting (kneeling) on the floor begging for mercy while Elen who was sitting on a chair like a boss wife, was looking outside thinking it has been so long did she went for shopping. Then, she looked at her husband, 'I need to milk him out completely, hmph.'

Both shivered even though the gaze was directed towards the Headmaster. They could only pray to god and look towards here with puppy eyes hoping that she will let them off without throwing them to hell.

As if god has heard their prayers, she suddenly asked with a serious tone, "So Su Wen, now you have finally finished your study here in the academy, when will you go to the Central Continent? The five Holy Lands will be open for the registration of new disciples soon and I am pretty sure you would gain attention from all five of them, if you stop hiding your talents."

When Headmaster Michael heard this, his face instantly became serious and he couldn't help but add, " Medicine Dao and Alchemy Dao are closely related fields, if you want to purse these two fields then you should consider Green Lotus Sect as they major in these two fields more deeply than other sects. For Sword Dao, all sects are considered best as it is a primary weapon for attack, even a scholar needs to learn swordsmanship to protect himself but, Azure Sword Sect is the leader in terms of Sword Dao as those bastards are all sword fanatics."

Michael and Elen both looked at Su wen whose face looked like a potato listening to a song sung by a monkey…

Michael: …

Elen: …

"Sigh, I have told you many times to learn more about the Central Continent from the books present in the library. I have even mixed up a few books related to Central Continent in your stash when you go back to your village during your academy break, but you were never interested in reading them." Michael couldn't help but lament.

Elen explained, "Su Wen, our The Great Myriad Realm world is vast and dangerous, and you need a higher cultivation level just to traverse around all the continents safely. As you already know, The Greate Myriad World can be divided into five continents, with Central Continent which is biggest in terms of size, surrounded by four continents each named with their cardinal direction position". She then further explained, " There are 5 Holy Land in the Central Continent, Heavens Will Sect, Ten Thousand Dao Sect, Azure Sword Sect, Yin Yang Pavilion and Green Lotus Sect respectively. These five sects lead the cultivation world and have thousands of years of heritage passed down from generation to generation which is also one of the main reason the cultivation world is more advanced in the Central Continent.

They are the guardians of this world, protecting it from evil sects who wants to cause chaos for their selfish reasons. There are also other powers like families, empires, tribes, organisations etc. who takes part in the already complex power structure for supremacy."

Su Wen, although was very interested in the Central Continent and wanted to see and travel around the world to explore the traditions, culture and cultivation, but for now he was not motivated to leave the Sunrise city.

The main reason is nothing complex like of a Young Master from a declined family hiding in a small town from enemies who destroyed his family, so that he can grow up and become strong safely and then go back to take what belongs him.

For Su wen, it's simple, just that he did not want to leave his grandparents alone. He is their only family, and they are too old to even take care of themselves, so he wanted to go back to the village and take care of them.

From others point of view, he is wasting his life for old mortal grandparents but for him, it's different. He will take care of them until the end of their lifespan, so then he can leave the mountain in peace to roam around the world in search of his own path. Missing out a few years in his life won't matter much to him since he is already a Peak Qi refinement practitioner with a lifespan of around 100 years and once, he breakthrough to Foundation Layer, his lifespan will increase to 200 years.

Cultivators have long lifespan, and he don't want to live in regret that his grandparents who gave him so much love, died alone at a depilated mountain with no one from the family to bury them. His pride won't allow it to leave them alone even if he is offered the whole world, instead, he will take the world and give it to his grandparents.

Seeing him silent, both Michael and Elen sighed and said no more. They knew that the only who can change his mind is he himself or the old grandparents at the mountain.

"Teachers, thank you for your love, support, and kindness. Headmaster Michael, thank you for teaching me what it truly means to be a scholar, and Teacher Elen, for passing down your knowledge of medicine and alchemy."

Su Wen suddenly knelt, bowing deeply from the heart. His gratitude wasn't just because they were his teachers, but because they had treated him like their own son, with genuine care, patience, and affection.

'Although he's an annoying and stubborn brat, with a maturity far beyond his years, I can't deny the character and filial piety he's shown me all this time.' Michael thought to himself.

He reached out to his pocket and took out a letter wrapped in gold silk cloth and a 12 cm pure black brush with golden vermillion patterns on the top. At the same, time Elen also took out a pure black coloured cauldron with a golden vermillion pattern on its front side.

As soon as they took the items out, they both were stunned and made an eye contact with each other and smiled knowingly.

"You took out that cauldron huh" Michael said to Elen directly in her mind.

"You also took out that brush huh" Elen also replied in his mind.

"Hahaha, you are right. He is worthy of these two treasures, and I am sure he will put them to their destined use. I just hope that old man won't give us a hard time. Sigh"

Su wen was stunned not knowing why his teachers were giving him these two treasures. Although, in his eyes these two treasures were very ordinary but the way they were looking at each other made him feel that it is not that simple.

Su wen, although first hesitant, still took them in his hand and put them into his storage ring without asking any explanation as they would have told him if required. Then suddenly he remembered, he took out a bottle of wine and a Spirit Lavendar Perfume from his storage ring.

"Headmaster Michael, this is the wine I brew for you 3 years ago, please try it. Teacher Elen, this is Spirit Lavendar Perfume I made for you. Please accept them as a token of my love and respect."

They didn't say much and put them in their pouch. Seeing that a smile appeared on Su wen's face, and he bowed them in greeting and turned to leave.

Seeing he was leaving, Elen quickly said, "Wait."

Confused, Su wen turned around

Elen: "You forgot your tea with Meng Po".

Su wen: …

Michael: …
