Bright's eyes locked onto Victor's, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew he was in grave danger.
"What's going on, Victor?" Bright demanded, his voice firm. "Why am I here?"
Victor smiled, his eyes glinning with amusement. "I'm just trying to help you, Bright," he said. "I'm trying to open your eyes to the truth."
Bright's eyes narrowed. "What truth?" he asked.
Victor leaned in, his voice low. "The truth about Melach," he said. "He's the one who killed your father, Bright. Not me."
Bright's heart skipped a beat. He knew it. He knew Melach was behind his father's death.
"Why are you telling me this?" Bright asked, his voice shaking with anger.
Victor's smile grew wider. "Because I want to help you, Bright," he said. "I want to help you bring Melach down."
Bright's eyes locked onto Victor's, his mind racing with questions. Could he trust Victor? Was he telling the truth?
He knew he had to be careful. He couldn't let Victor manipulate him.
"Why should I trust you?" Bright asked, his voice firm.
Victor's expression turned serious. "You shouldn't," he said. "But I have proof, Bright. I have evidence that will bring Melach down."
Bright's heart skipped a beat. He had to see that evidence.
"Show me," Bright said, his voice firm.
Victor nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "I will, Bright," he said. "But first, we need to get out of here. Melach's men are closing in."
Bright's eyes scanned the room, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew he had to make a decision, and fast.
"Where's Clair?" Bright asked, his voice low.
Victor's smile grew wider. "She's safe," he said. "For now."
Bright's eyes narrowed. He didn't trust Victor, but he had to make a move.
"Okay, let's go," Bright said, his voice firm.
Victor nodded, his eyes glinning with amusement. "Good choice, Bright," he said. "Let's get out of here."
As Victor turned to leave, Bright's eyes locked onto Sophia's. She was standing in the shadows, a small smile playing on her lips.
Bright's heart skipped a beat. What was she up to?
Victor's men closed in, surrounding Bright and Victor. They moved quickly, escorting them out of the room and into the night.
The air was cool and damp, and Bright could hear the sound of cars driving by in the distance. He knew they were in the city, but he had no idea where.
Victor's men pushed them into a black SUV, and Victor climbed in beside Bright.
"Let's go," Victor said, his voice firm.
The SUV sped off, racing through the city streets. Bright's heart was pounding in his chest, his mind racing with questions.
Where were they going? What was Victor's plan?
And what about Clair? Was she okay?
Bright's eyes locked onto Victor's, his voice low. "Tell me, Victor," he said. "What's the plan?"
Victor's smile grew wider. "The plan, Bright," he said, "is to bring Melach down."
Bright's heart skipped a beat. He had to know more.
"How?" Bright asked, his voice firm.
Victor's eyes glinned with amusement. "You'll see, Bright," he said. "You'll see."
The SUV sped on, racing through the city streets. Bright's heart was pounding in his chest, his mind racing with questions.
What was Victor's plan? And what about Clair?
The answer would have to wait. The SUV was slowing down, and Bright could see they were arriving at a building.
Victor's eyes locked onto Bright's, his voice low. "Welcome to the headquarters, Bright," he said. "Welcome to the beginning of the end."
Bright's heart skipped a beat. What was he getting into?
To be continued...
