Henry received a message from a new business partner ,who wanted them to meet up at a restaurant . He first addressed his staffs at the office before leaving, putting the office in the hands of Tessy assisted by Abigail and a few.
He drove down the road and entered the restaurant in his brown suite and saw the business partner he went to meet he then sat at his front. Immediately the man lifted his head he was shocked to see his face.
" Hugo Renard!!!" He said shocked to himself and tried to make a more relaxed expression
" Gosh ..I hope he hasn't found out about me and Abigail. I didn't plan to talk about it now..o my ..!!" He added as his heart began to race
" Good morning , I'm Hugo Renard" Hugo said extending his hand for a handshake
" Henry Whitmore" Henry replied
" You are Abigail's boss " Hugo asked
" Yes I am " Henry answered
" Okay it's a pleasure meeting you for the first time ,I'm her husband" Hugo said smiling
Henry sighed as Hugo haven't seen him before or knew he was Abigail's first love.
" Well there's something I need from you , I..I wont mind paying for it " Hugo said
" Okay what is it? " Henry asked as he was already feeling tense
" Okay you see I want you to fire her " Hugo said looking at him
Henry was shocked by his statement and laughed " fire who?... Abigail " he asked as it sounded like a joke
" Yes , I'm not joking , it's a ver personal matter I would have explained but I can't . Please I need you to understand , you too know what happens when a lady tastes a bit of power and riches " Hugo tried to explain
" Well I'm not sure if I understand , there's nothing wrong with a woman being independent . I won't let my ego as a man affect my relationship. By meeting up with her boss to fire her " Henry said as he was angry and ashamed at him and the little respect he had vanished.
" I have done this before,name your price I'll give you just fire her there's no need to be to virtuous " Hugo said to him
" No I can't keep your money " Henry answered back
" No?.. Why??.. wait don't tell me you have eyes on my wife, because all the people she worked for in the past I gave them money and got the job done" Hugo said as Henrys disapproval made him angry.
" Abigail is a very special person in business, she is one of the strengths I have , her unique seriousness and discipline towards her job got me impressed , so I just can't let go of someone so special. You know how the business world works " Henry explained getting himself ready to leave
" What the f... Mr you should understand "
" No sir I'm sorry, there's nothing to understand it's a woman's life you are debating on " Henry said
" Okay if you say so , I didn't want to stress her with work, my family also runs a business but I don't want her to get involved in things like that" Hugo tried to explain to him
" Things like what " Henry asked
" It's a rather personal issue, I would have greatful if you understood me and my point " Hugo said as his plans of manipulating Henry failed. " So the things we just spoke should between us both" Hugo added
" Yes I have no problem , and I still don't want plans of ruining your relationship" Henry said and left the office entering his car and driving to the office.
" He told you all that " Abigail said as Henry quickly called her to his office and explained what happened to her.
" Yes he looks very dangerous " Henry added as he looked very worried
" I wasn't expecting him to stoop so low, meaning he was the main reason why I always had problems. What does he want from me... " Abigail said panicking as her eyes turned teary
" Don't worry love , I have spoken to the lawyer he is going to get all the documents ready and we'll also catch the culprits who Framed your father," Henry said embracing her tightly and patting her head
" He isn't the good guy he pretends to be " Abigail added as she clearly wasn't expecting it.
Abigail after being comforted by Henry went to her cabin and thought of going home to her parents for the mean time in other to escape the tense and insecure feeling she has about him. She also wanted to find out what his real motive for marrying her was, or maybe he may be connected to the serious charges laid against her family, because if she left him her father will go to jail.
Immediately the working hours stopped she briskly went home , luckily for her he wasn't back , she took her clothes and kept them in the boot of the car telling the driver to take her home. As she was thinking of spending a day or two.
The whole atmosphere became tense around all of them as it seemed things were falling apart and more hidden truths were coming out regarding Hugo which were literally very dangerous.
" Hello , I heard Tom B wasn't doing too well so I came home to check " Abigail said as she was talking to Hugo on the phone
" Okay if that is the case , extend my greetings to them " Hugo replied and hung the call.
She could finally breath as she was at home , and the information of her brother been ill was a lie to escape his presence for the mean time. As all Abigail wanted was a clear and light atmosphere where she could be happy and smile.

It was another bright morning. Abigail was feeling to stressed over the few days and needed something to distract her mind ,she was losing composure feeling like she couldn't think straight, she took a cab and went to the office forgetting about the fact that Henry was close by.
Henry also stopped by her house to check but her mother informed him of her early departure.
He didn't bother and entered his vehicle to work to meet her.
