Sefan stared at the photo on Sojuva's phone—Lucas, Ethan, and Eli, a picture of perfect family bliss. She began to laugh, a chilling, maniacal sound.
"Ohhhh! It's the baby! It was Clara's baby! My life's success is that baby!" Sefan laughed.
Arlo, seeing the terrifying transformation, stood frozen, consumed by fear.
"How many years will you escape from me, my dear grandchild? You should have to come with your grandmother! If anybody try to protect you, I'll kill them! I didn't even cared about your mother and father at all—I killed them already!" Sefan announced casually. "Now Ethan... he's just an ant to me. He only escaped because I didn't know where he was, that's all. Now I've found out everything. Only action remains."
"Madam, what is all this?" Sojuva asked, utterly bewildered by her revelation.
"Ahhh, Arlo, you should get out from here! I guess you're not going to risk your life if you stay here," Sefan commanded. "Ahhh, one thing: Can I ask you, I don't know why I feel... are you and Clara and Ethan related to each other?" Sefan probed, suspicion finally landing on her.
Arlo's eyes went wide with pure terror. "Ahhh, ahh, Ma'am, I'm just a manager! At first, I was appointed as your husband's first wife's assistant!" Arlo said.
"Ohh, don't remember her. Get out. I got it, you're useless," Sefan sneered. Arlo fled the apartment, shaking uncontrollably.
Back in shopping centre Ethan turned, facing the venomous Selena. "Hey, hi. What are you doing here?" Ethan asked, attempting to sound casual.
"Ohhh, wow, you act like we're childhood friends! Bi**h!" Selena hissed.
"See, I'm not in the mood to slap you. There's a mirror in front of you—go and say whatever bad words you want. It suits only you," Ethan snapped back.
"You! I'm not going to tell you anything today. I'm here today because I'm going to kill you!" Selena threatened.
"If anybody touches him, I will kill them without thinking, whoever they might be!" Lucas's voice roared, cutting through the busy shopping center.
A crowd instantly gathered. Lucas strode straight toward Ethan, radiating possessive fury.
"Ethan, I didn't buy anything yet for my son. Go and buy for him. Let me buy some groceries," Lucas said, asserting control.
"Hah, honey, thank you so much," Ethan said sassily, leaning into the performance. "Don't get hurt." He picked up Eli and walked away.
"Haa, come on, guys, it's been so many days! I need some exercise!" Lucas challenged the bodyguards, rolling his neck.
Selena warned her guards with her eyes: Don't touch him!
"Lucas, what are you doing here? Don't tell me you fell for that wh*re!" Selena spat out the slur.
"I never, ever slapped a woman," Lucas said, his voice deadly quiet. "If you talk like that again about my boyfriend, I'm not going to slap you. I'm going to kill you."
Lucas stepped closer, his body language dominating hers entirely. "Do you think I'm going to marry you? It's not even your dream. My mom sent you here because of business only, that's it. You are just one of the twenty girls my mom appointed to pursue me to get married."
He paused, letting the humiliation sink in. "But one thing: while I'm here, I see my boyfriend, and I wanted him back after five years. So, I concern myself more about him. If he wasn't here, I would have kicked you out even before you tried talking to me on the first day. I'm warning you! Your father is just a business partner of our company. If you continue like this, I'll not spare anyone of you, even your father!" Lucas warned, his CEO authority crushing her. He turned and left her weeping in the aisle.
"Ahhh! Lele! Get that bi**h Ethan's home address!" Selena shrieked, fueled by humiliation.
Sefan started explaining the photo to Sojuva. "See this. My son, Lucas," Sefan said.
"Oh, sorry, Ma'am. We didn't know it was your family at all," Sojuva apologized nervously.
"Ah, it's okay. The other guy is Ethan Stan. And I need that baby," Sefan said, pointing at Eli. "Our whole Sliver Star Group, and companies, and properties, casinos, shares—everything is owned by that baby!" Sefan revealed.
Sojuva was shocked into silence.
"Yes! For all these years, I'm searching for that baby! You don't need to know what happened before, how the baby came from, or whose baby at all. Your only task: Just get that baby, no matter what!" Sefan demanded. "And ahhh, don't worry. As soon as I get ownership of everything, I'll make your whole Sojuva Mafia work under the Sliver Star Group and companies! After that, you don't have to do any of those illegal businesses illegally; you can do it legally!" Sefan promised.
"Ah, Madam, what if your son finds out—" Sojuva started.
"Ah, don't worry about my son. I know what to do. It's normal for me. If he tries to interfere, just hit him until he's almost dead, but don't make him dead—he's my son. I can't see his death. But that Ethan should be dead meat!" Sefan finalized her plan. Both she and Sojuva laughed, the deal sealed by murder.
Outside the apartment, Arlo was terrified, slumped against the resort wall, unsure what to do. Her mind replayed Sefan's casual admission: "I killed them already." She was so afraid she could barely breathe.
Suddenly, her secure phone rang. She picked it up instantly. "Hello?!"
"Hello, Miss Arlo. I'm already here in city."
It was Victoria.
