- North of the Temple -
"You know, you have a really ominous presence. We don't get many visitors like you at Mt. Kamadu."
"Ominous? I'll take that as a compliment, old man but fear not, I'm just passing by."
"Old man? I'm just 70 years young mind you."
"The old man has a sense of humour, I see…
Well if you're still here after sensing my dark aura, you can't be an ordinary man?
Tell me old man, if those lifeless eyes can help you sense, can they also help you fight?"
"Fight? I'm too old to fight the likes of you, but there is someone who will defeat you today, you demon!"
- Few Minutes Earlier, At the Shrine -
Things are looking good. The heavens must be looking out for us. Even though it's good news I feel uneasy for some reason. Whatever it is, it's not that person, I'm sure about that. That young disciple Kori, he may be a peculiar kid but he has a pure soul. I don't think he would do something disingenuous to the temple.
If anything, he seems to be too focused on his training. He thinks no one notices when he disappears from the dorms at night, but I've been watching him train at the mountains every night. It is hard to believe how persistent he is with becoming strong.
Then again it's not like I need to interfere. Even when the other disciple fell down, he somehow managed to save him from any danger. I say he uses some unorthodox methods for training, some may say crazy, but those crazy methods have worked well so far.
Ryuk, even though he trained harder than anyone, he was always stuck because of his condition. We had given up on him becoming any more stronger, but Kori somehow did the unthinkable. Ryuk has become stronger in a few weeks than he did in the last two years.
It's not only him, both of them have also become way stronger…
As master Tomoya was thinking these thoughts, he sensed a faint energy. An energy full of hatred, anger and resentment. It wasn't much later that he realized why he was feeling uneasy. The source of the feeling was fast approaching the temple.
Even though it was faint, it was far ominous than anything he had ever experienced in his entire life. He knew at the moment, he needed to act fast or travesty might strike the temple.
"Ken! Follow me, it's urgent!" He yelled from the shrine.
His voice could be heard in every corner of the temple.
- At the Training Grounds -
"Ken! Follow me, it's urgent!"
"Did you hear that Kori? That sounded like master Tomoya."
"Yes, that's definitely him."
"What could be going on? I've never heard him raise his voice before."
"I'm sure it's nothing, Uroi. I'll be right back."
"Wait! Where are you going?"
- At the Second Training Hall -
"Brother Ryuk, did you hear that?"
"Yes, I did."
"What could be the reason? I've never seen master Tomoya this furious."
"Something feels off. Let's follow them, Kavi."
"Are you sure that would be okay?"
"We don't have time to think, we need to move quickly."
- Present Time -
"Master Tomoya! Let me fight him, I'll do my best to defeat him."
"No, Ken! This isn't the time for you to act."
This is weird. I'm standing in front of a demon but I feel more relaxed than I was a few minutes ago. For some reason I feel like I know what is going to happen in the next few hours. There's no doubt about it, something unimaginable is about to happen at this very place. In that case, I'll follow the plan that heavens have laid out for me.
In that moment, Tomoya lifted the stick he used for support up till now, in the air. A sudden wind started flowing towards the stick as he lifted it.
"That is a nice looking staff, old man! So you have decided to fight me after all. Bring it on, I'll end it quickly."
"The only one facing the end here is you, damned demon! May the heavens have mercy on your soul in the afterlife!"
The wind covered the bottom of the staff as a tornado and Tomoya put all his strength to thrust the staff in the earth. A sudden gust of wind flowed to all directions in a circular form covering a radius of over 400 meters.
As the staff touched the earth, Tomoya yelled "Aura Field - Golden Dome!!!"
