Kashka and the others are still in the stone room, while the cultists seemed to attack their outpost. Outside the room, loud screams and the crunch of weapons and other things could be heard.
"Ok, we have to defend this space at all costs. These cultists are surely here because of their friend" Bormor said, pulling out his 2H sword.
"No! If we stay here, we will all die! have you already forgotten, they are not only normal cultists but also a bishop! Besides, we have no way to defend ourselves from his curse attacks!" Gardiel answered hastily and pulled out a wooden staff.
"Gardiel is right, Bormor... We don't stand a chance, even if there was no bishop among them, there are just too many." Thressela replied.
"Gardiel, can you teleport us away from here?" she said , looking at Gardiel as there was less and less screaming outside the stone room.
"I... ehhh.... YES! But I can ONLY teleport US away from here. We must leave the cultist here. I'm almost out of magic, because I've teleported the cultist today. His aura is just too strong, if I teleport him again, I won't have any more energie for us left!" Gardiel answered frantically.
"What?! no no no, you can't leave me here with the damm cultists! God knows what they will do to me! Please I beg you, there has to be a way to escape for us all!" Kashka replied seemenly scared to be left behind.
"Ok, all of you immediately stand around the cultist! They would hardly take one of their own into the firing line, especially not someone as powerful as him" Thressela said, whereupon everyone including the guard now stood around Kashka's magic circle.
They had all drawn their weapons now and looked nervously at the iron door in front of them.
There were no more screams to be heard from outside. For a few moments there was absolute silence.
suddenly the entire stone wall including the entrance door was torn down by a huge burst of energy.
Kashka nearly fell backwards to the ground because of the shocking loud noice.
in front of the torn wall stood a man with pitch-black eyes, who wore cultist robes, which were a little more decorated than the normal ones.
Behind the man, countless cultists stood deathly still, bloody sickles in their hands. No one dared to say anything for a few moments when they saw the person in front of them.
he was clearly more powerful than the other cultists around him, because his aura of black mist was more intense. The man took several steps forward and grinned slightly.
He had long black hair tied back and looked about thirty. With his eyes wide open, he for some moments stared continuously and without blinking at the various people around Kashka.
"So, so, so... then you are the ones who dared to capture our newest member against his will..." said the man in an iron and crystal-clear voice while crossing his arms in front of everyone.
Thressela looked absolutely shocked and mumbled
"That man's aura... he's no normal bishop... oh no, dear goodess..."
Kashka heard this and noticed how nervous the people around him were becoming. He then looked at the man and tried to concentrate but he still couldn't feel or see any sort of strange "aura" coming from the man.
"I suppose you know what I am? At least I hope so, after all, no living being should die unsuspectingly, at least that's my opinion" the man continued with an iron voice.
"You... You are a... Monster" Gardiel replied stuttering, whereupon the bishop pierced him with his sharp gaze.
"AN INCORRECT, INEFFICIENT AND INADEQUATE ANSWER!" the man screamed in an angry and echoing voice across the room while making a theadral hand gesture.
The next moment he stood upright again and grinned slightly.
"I AM A CARDINAL BISHOP IN THE WITCHER CHURCH!" he continued even louder this time, raising his arms in the air theatrically and presentingly.
Bormor, Gardiel, Thressela and the other 3 people around Kashka then took several steps back out of pure fear.
In the next moment, the bishop seemed deadly serious again when he looked at Kashka and suddenly made an almost 90 degree stretch with his back backwards in absolute shock while at the same time he roared"RRRUUUHHH!!" with echoing screams through the room.
A moment later, he calmed down again and suddenly bowed to Kashka.
"Please be patient one more moment, my Inquisitor. I'll be done here any moment and then I'll free you immediately." he said respectfully to kashka.
Gardiel then tried to use his teleportation magic, when nothing happened. Suddenly, the Inquisitor looked at him with a murderious look whereupon Gardiel's heart begann to race.
"Seriously? Do you pathetic creature really believe that you can escape the wrath of the Witcher Church after what you did?! Your little magic tricks are pointless. I have already put this entire room under the control of my curse powers"
suddenly Gardiel was thrown into the air by a invisible force.
"GARDIEL!" Bormor screamed, but Thressela grabbed him by the shoulder, whereupon he fell silent again.
As a result of his actions , Gardiel was torn to pieces within a moment by an invisible force, whereupon his bloody bodyparts hit the stone floor.
Kashka looked absolutely shocked and disgusted at the bloody bodyparts across the stone floor whereupon he vomited at the sight.
The next moment, the bishop seemed very serious.
"Forward" he said in a calm voice.
suddenly dozens of cultists stormed into the room from behind him and rushed agilely towards the rest of the people around Kashka with their sickles drawn.
Bormor, Thressela and the guard were all frozen in terror, but the last mage in the squad, Okusaka, grabbed all of their hands and murmured something whereupon the 4 of them glowed.
"Huh? a blessing?" the bishop murmed suprised.
In the next moment, they disappeared without a trace or any effects.
"They left me here!? shit, shit, shit! what should i do? can I even do something?" Kashka thought shocked and scared.
Now only the bishop, the rest of the cultists and Kashka, who was still in the magic circle, were left in the room...
