Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Awakening of the First True Demon Lord

Subash — once the nameless Void Dragon — wiped a single tear as he clenched both fists tightly.

"So this is how it feels to have a real name," he murmured. "I can feel my power rising… I've reached level fifty. The name Subash... it's become one with my very soul."

Roshan, who stood before him, smiled softly.

"Well, you see, naming a monster is a very special thing," he explained calmly. "Monsters and demons are born without names. When you name them, you don't just give them an identity — you awaken their potential. They evolve, becoming far stronger than before. And because I was the one who named you, my magic power has pushed you to break through to level fifty."

With that, Roshan raised his hand. A faint glow gathered in his palm, forming into a shining crystal that pulsed with an eerie light.

Subash blinked. "Huh? What's that?"

Roshan tossed it lightly toward him. Subash caught the crystal, his eyes widening as he sensed the immense energy within.

"There are… fifty million souls inside this crystal!" he exclaimed. "Why are you giving me so many? It only takes one million for evolution! These souls are too powerful—"

Roshan smiled knowingly. "Keep them. They'll be useful to you in the future. Also, once you complete your evolution into a True Demon Lord, come to this place."

He reached out and touched Subash's forehead, transferring an image — a location — directly into his mind.

Then, with a faint shimmer, Roshan vanished. The world around Subash regained its color, time began to flow again, and silence filled the sky.

Subash sighed. (So, now I have to babysit this world too… But why did Roshan choose me?)

He teleported to a cave dense with magical energy — the same cave where he had been born.

(It hasn't changed at all…) he thought, a faint smile appearing on his face. (It still holds my aura… feels like home.)

He snapped his fingers, forming a powerful energy shield around the cave's entrance. Sitting down on the soft grass, he pulled out the crystal and activated his Unique Skill, Devourer, consuming two million souls at once.

Instantly, his strength drained away. His body trembled, and he could barely stay upright.

"Wh-what's happening? Why… do I feel so weak?" he whispered, collapsing to the ground.

Then, a voice echoed across the world—

[Notice: The individual named Subash (Void Dragon) has entered Demon Lord Sleep.]

The announcement resonated through every corner of the world, shaking the heavens themselves.

Far away, the leader of the High Humans — Mo Chang — sat upon his throne. Though countless years had passed, he hadn't aged a day. Upon hearing the divine announcement, a faint smile curved his lips.

(So, the Void Dragon has finally gained a name… and he's evolving into a Demon Lord. Looks like the world is about to change again.)

The High Humans were near-immortal; unless slain, they neither aged nor perished.

Meanwhile, within the depths of the cave, Subash found himself standing inside his own consciousness — his inner world. In front of him was a younger version of himself, the Void Dragon, surrounded by darkness.

"Hey… why are you like this?" Subash asked.

The dragon smiled. "This is our past — our inner mind. We come here whenever something truly important happens."

He tilted his head. "So… we finally got a name? Do we have a purpose now, beyond destruction? Are we… strong enough to survive without fighting those monsters anymore?"

Tears welled in his eyes. Subash smiled warmly.

"Yes. We've become very powerful. We no longer need to fight for survival. And… we even met a great man named Alex. He taught us that there's more to existence than destruction."

The Void Dragon smiled through his tears. Before either could say more, the entire space around them began to dissolve — and a cascade of voices echoed through the silence of their shared mind.

The world trembled. Chaos spread across continents as the heavens proclaimed the birth of a being who transcended all others.

In a distant castle, a young woman with long snow-white hair and crimson eyes stirred from her bed. Dressed in a red kimono, Luminous Valentine, the Vampire Queen, smiled faintly.

Fufufu… so, the Void-san has returned to the Western Continent without even telling me. But to think he evolved into a Demon Lord… how impressive.

Her chamber walls were covered with paintings of Subash — all drawn by her own hand, using the blood of humans as ink.

Back in the cave, Subash slowly opened his eyes. His body had changed — more mature, more radiant, more divine. His once-youthful face now carried an aura of calm dominance.

(So… I've finally awakened. My level has reached eighty — the peak of my power. My core has completely transformed. I can feel this immense strength surging within me.)

Far above, in the heavenly realm, Roshan smiled as he looked down.

"Well, it took him a full month… but he's finally evolved into the True Demon Lord. Right now, he's among the top three strongest beings in existence."

He turned his gaze toward the vast halls of the divine realm.

"The universe is still young," he murmured. "Only a few races exist within the Central World. But in a few hundred more years… it'll be filled with countless lifeforms, monsters, and wonders."

And with that thought, the Creator watched over his growing world — and the newly awakened Demon Lord who would one day shape its fate.
