Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: The Regret of the Void Dragon

The Void Dragon stood alone, the world around him deathly silent. He stared at the empty space where Alex once stood.

Void Dragon: "So… I really am a monster. Not because I was born one, but because I chose to be one. But… is this truly what I wanted?"

His eyes were empty, his voice hollow as the wind echoed across the ruined land. All around him, the world was in ruins—burned, broken, and lifeless. Yet slowly, the ground began to heal. The skies brightened, and the wounds of the earth started to mend on their own.

Void Dragon: "Now I feel the same emptiness… the same void I've always tried to fill. But it seems I've only made that emptiness even greater."

He muttered softly to himself as he turned away. His Void Sword slipped from his hand and vanished into nothingness. With one last glance at the healing world, he spread his wings and flew off—his heart heavy with regret and sorrow, emotions he had never felt in all his long existence.

---

Twenty years later…

The Void Dragon sat silently atop a vast mountain, his gaze distant, his heart still burdened by the past.

Void Dragon: "I always believed that battle, strength, and power were the only ways to survive in this world. But now… I understand. And yet—it's already too late."

His voice was calm, almost lifeless, as he looked down at the world below. Humans and High Humans waged another bloody war, countless bodies strewn across the fields.

Void Dragon (thought): These humans… they still haven't stopped their endless wars.

His eyes began to glow faintly as he watched the chaos. Then, without another word, he rose to his feet and leapt from the mountain.

Below, the two armies clashed in a storm of blood and screams. But suddenly, everything stopped. The ground trembled as the Void Dragon descended from the sky, landing gently between the two armies. His expression was calm—yet his presence alone sent shivers down every soldier's spine.

Void Dragon: "You have all fought for too long… It is time to end this war."

His voice was soft but chilling, echoing across the battlefield. Both sides froze as their leaders stepped forward—faces proud and arrogant.

The Void Dragon's gaze grew cold.

Void Dragon (thought): That arrogance again… The same blindness I once carried. These two are no different from the monster I used to be.

High Human Leader: "You're the Void Dragon, aren't you?"

He bowed slightly, his tone respectful.

The Human Leader frowned, confused. He too knew the name—but he did not fear it.

Human Leader (thought): So this is the Void Dragon… I can feel his power, but he's weakened. If I can somehow take his strength, I'll be unstoppable.

He forced a polite smile and bowed as well.

High Human Leader: "Void Dragon-sama, I understand your wish for peace. But we cannot stop this war. The humans attack us constantly—they kill our kind and take our women for vile purposes. I cannot allow such cruelty to continue."

His voice trembled with rage and pain.

The Void Dragon turned to the Human Leader, who only nodded coldly.

Human Leader: "What did you expect? We're human—we have desires to fulfill. And weren't you the ones who started this war?"

His voice was empty, without empathy.

The High Human Leader shouted, his voice cracking with fury.

High Human Leader: "You monster! Yes, we started the war—but we never went that far! We never harmed women or children!"

The Void Dragon's eyes flickered. In the High Human Leader's eyes, he saw a faint light—something pure. Turning back to the Human Leader, he spoke at last.

Void Dragon: "I don't care why this war began, or who is to blame. But from this moment onward—you will stop. If not, I will destroy one of your nations completely."

His tone was cold as ice. As he released his aura, both leaders were crushed to the ground under its weight. The Human Leader suffered more—his body trembling, blood dripping from his mouth—while the High Human Leader was only pinned down.

The Void Dragon looked at them one last time.

Void Dragon (thought): That man… the human. He'll start another war someday. But this will be enough—for now.

And with that, he vanished into the sky.

---

The Human Leader coughed up blood as he stood, glaring at the High Human Leader.

Human Leader (thought): Damn that Void Dragon… he hurt me so badly.

Tension filled the air.

Human Leader: "The Void Dragon has given his warning. Let's not start another war—I don't want my nation destroyed."

He turned to leave, but behind him, the High Human Leader's eyes darkened.

High Human Leader (thought): The Void Dragon-sama only pinned me, but he injured that man. That means… he wants me to end this war myself.

Gripping his sword tightly, the High Human Leader lunged forward.

High Human Leader: "Then our war ends here!"

His blade pierced the Human Leader's heart.

The human soldiers gasped, dropping their weapons in shock. The High Humans stared for a moment—and then tears filled their eyes. Cheers erupted across their ranks as they realized their tormentor was dead.

The humans, trembling and broken, looked toward the High Human Leader, who now stood tall, his expression calm.

High Human Leader: "Don't be afraid. You may all return home alive. Our war ends here. We High Humans no longer wish for bloodshed. We have avenged our fallen… and it's time for peace."

The human soldiers fell to their knees, their eyes wet with tears.

Humans: "Thank you for your mercy, my lord! We will never forget your kindness!"

The High Human Leader nodded, looking up at the sky with quiet hope.

High Human Leader (thought): Thank you, Void Dragon. We will never forget your kindness. And if the time ever comes, I will repay this debt.

---

Above the clouds, the Void Dragon floated silently, watching the world below. For the first time in his long life, a faint, peaceful smile crossed his face.

Void Dragon (thought): This will end the war. Those humans were forced into it—they never wanted this.

---

Far beyond the world, in another dimension, a figure with black hair streaked with starlight watched through a magical mirror. His eyes, blue as the ocean, shone with divine light. Two black horns curved from his forehead. Dressed in a flowing blue robe trimmed with gold, he was the God of Creation — Roshan.

Roshan (thought): Kukuku… the Void Dragon is still learning. He's young—far too young to understand emotion or the world. But one day, he will.

As he watched, another being appeared beside him—a man with long silver hair, ocean-blue eyes, and a black armored coat. He knelt before Roshan.

???: "Lord Roshan-sama, why do you allow this Void Dragon to roam free? Innocent people die because of him."

This was Dinesh, the Primordial Angel—God's first creation.

Roshan smiled gently.

Roshan: "Because, Dinesh… the Void Dragon is an important figure for the future. Right now, he's still a child—no older than a ten-year-old human in mind and heart. Let him learn at his own pace."

Dinesh bowed deeply and departed.

Roshan turned back to the mirror, his calm smile returning as he watched the Void Dragon drift through the clouds—alone, but no longer empty.
