The nine rings appeared once more, attempting to trap the demon. This time the body of the rings was blazing with red flames. The demon king examined it closely and noticed how different the flaming rings were this time. Not only did he sense the strong will of these rings to tear him apart but the delicious aroma of resentment energy burning in them made his smile even more sinister.
''Chang Yi,'' his voice echoed throughout the heavens as the immortal struggled to activate the rings to destructive mode. ''You really did secretly practice resentment energy to kill me, didn't you?''
The silence after that only made the red dragons still sprawled injured below, confused. Resentment energy cultivation was a forbidden rule in all of the four heavens and the whole Formless Dimension. Only the evil immortals in the first heaven practised it. And a righteous red dragon like Master Chang Yi shouldn't even try it.
'' It's flowing through your veins and you are allowing it to corrupt your spiritual energy bit by bit.'' Mo Yuan stretched forth his right hand and the rings around him shattered again. ''I am the Master of Resentment energy,'' Chang Yi was then pulled by Mo Yuan's power towards him, his right hand clasped around his thick neck as the demon king squeezed tighter.
Yun Xi saw this and was the first to quickly pull herself up while the other red dragons hid in fear. She began to charge towards them to save Chang Yi, Mo Yuan sensed it and struck her down again with resentment energy. This time, leaving her badly injured as she spat out blood.
''I can control every bit of resentment energy flowing through every demon's veins. What's stopping me from manipulating the same resentment energy in you to destroy that precious dragon bead inner core?'' Mo Yuan taunted, as he tightened his hold around the struggling immortal's neck, giving him a hard time breathing and easing the pain he felt from the double backfire he endured from failing to use the Earth Vanishing Technique.
Mo Yuan raised his free hand very close to the immortal's gaze and grasped the resentment energy flowing through his spiritual vein. Immortal Master Chang Yi's gaze widened in both horror and this indescribable pain. His eyes clouded over with resentment energy as his bloodied mouth parted in shock. The blood-red energy curled like a serpent along his spiritual vein and targeted the location of his dragon bead inner core. Blood trickled down from his eyes and mouth when the resentment energy circled around his dragon bead inner core and smashed it into untraceable atoms.
Yun Xi's eyes reflected how Mo Yuan let go of the immortal in the air after destroying his dragon bead inner core.
''Noooo!!!!'' Yun Xi cried out as she lifted herself up again with all the strength that she had to catch him as he fell. His arms outstretched as Mo Yuan's evil laugh rang like bells in his ears. A bloodied tear trailed down the corner of his eyes as he remembered how the same evil killed his beloved and now him the same way. He remembered hearing this same laugh the day she was torn apart by resentment thunder from him. The evil grin and joyous mood he was in.
The pain he felt as he fell for not being able to avenge her was greater than the pain of being killed by resentment energy.
At least he would be reunited with his love now in the second death.
Yun Xi caught him before he hit the clouds and brought the dying dragon closer to herself.
''Chang Yi…Chang Yi…No, Chang Yi…'' She cried out as he nestled in her arms and she tried to repair his dragon bead with her powers in vain. Chang Yi opened his eyes briefly to look at her and said last before he died, ''I'm…sorry…for every…thing.''
Blood pooled out of his mouth as he took in his final breaths. Mo Yuan stared down at them in delight. He had never been more proud of himself.
Yun Xi sobbed when his immortal soul began to disperse in her arms and everyone mourned the loss of a very powerful red dragon.

A loud crack of lightning behind him heralded a strange pure white light. From this light, a hand appeared to draw three ancient character strokes that drew heaven's karma at his nape and sealed it deep within the bones of his neck. Mo Yuan roared in pain and then seven powerful karmic lightning came at him at the blinding speed of light. But Xuan Sha was quick to intervene by appearing behind his king to create a protective resentment shield around them to minimize the impact of the strike.
They were both struck to the ground and Mo Yuan was so badly injured blood spewed out of his mouth like a broken pipe. If not for the shield, he would have died as well.
''My Lord, My Lord…'' Xuan Sha called beside him as he struggled to bring his king back to his feet. Everyone then stared up to see who or what just happened to the demon king in the sky.
The formidable presence of the male white dragon overwhelmed them all, bringing all the red dragons to their feet. And beside him, appeared the ethereal presence of his other half, the female white dragon.
Yun Xi stared at both powerful dragons in awe and joy.
Mo Yuan sneered at their presence but he was smart enough to know not to engage with them with his current state or they will both kill him in one breath.
''Xuan sha.''
''Yes, My Lord.''
Both Xuan Sha and Mo Yuan disappeared with the ten thousand soldiers.
''This is not defeat but the starting point of my victory! I will return and when I do, I will murder all of you including the immortal black dragon with his destined bane. You all should just wait and see.''
Mo Yuan's voice echoed in the hearts and minds of the dragons as he vanished.
Every red dragon rose to their feet including Yun Xi as the two white dragons descended gracefully before them, their hands tight together as they observed every one of their injured subjects. The female white dragon immediately stepped forward and shared with them a helpful amount of Soul Nourishing Energy for their dragon beads inner cores to regain its vitality again.
Suddenly, three familiar injured blue dragons landed at the scene. Multiple scars around their body and they were covered from head to toe in dirt.
Master Yun Xi was the first to notice them and said, ''Lan Meiyun, Lan Zixuan, Lan Yuitan, what are you three doing here and how come you are all injured and dirty? What happened?''
Lan Meiyun stepped forward, breathing heavily while holding on to her broken left arm as she turned to Master Yun Xi.
''Immortal Master Yun Xi. It's Xueyao. She broke into the Undying Realm and we saw her break through the barrier in order to cause problems there.''
Everyone gasped and gathered around the three immortal blue dragons in shock and possible fear for the blue dragon's life. They then began to argue and doubt the possibility of the weakest blue dragon in the fourth heaven being able to break through such a powerful barrier like that.
The two white dragons in the middle of the discord heard and Qing Yue was the first to take action by immediately heading towards the Undying Realm as fast as she could in order to confirm it herself.
