Mamba arrived on the farm and yawned as the sun started to set. She looked on, the farm was rather beautiful and had crops and animals of all kinds within the fields. A peaceful land like no other. "He never stops working...ever..." She frowned as she could see Ashi in the distance.
Her sister walked beside her, her hands in her pockets as she walked. "Hm? Is dad out here?"
"He always is. That's all he does. Work on the farm. I would be shocked to see him not working on the farm."
"Oh..well..maybe he gets bored? Maybe it helps him relax.." She said, trying to defend her father's inability to relax.
"I guess it is relaxing..the farm is very nice..that's something i'll admit.." She thought to herself briefly on it. "Maybe mom might cook us something. Sound good?"
"Ooo! Maybe! But let's go see dad first!" Mura said as she walked over towards Ashi.
Ashi was working extremely hard on the farm. Sweat was pouring from his face as he was working on a carrot crop nearby. He looked up at Murasaki and Mamba, giving a friendly smile. "Well look who we have here. Two of my beautiful baby girls." He took a nearby towel and wiped his face before standing up straight, placing the hoe on a nearby railing. "What brings you here?"
Mura smiled brightly and even went in to hug him. "We just got bored and thought we should go see you guys."
He hugged her, and even picked her up sitting her on his shoulder. Something he was happy he could still do with one of his daughters. "Oh I see. Ashina's got you bored huh?"
"Mhm. It sucks there..your kingdom was way better." She said as she sat on his shoulder. Slowly kicking her legs in the air.
"Ha...I try not to think about that. I like the farm way better than the Kingdom nowadays. It's peaceful out here. Nobody really bothers me unless it's my family of course." He poked at Mura and Mamba playfully.
"Oh so now we're bothering you?" Murasaki said as her tone completely changed. Looking and sounding rather upset.
"No i'm just messing with you Mura. You know you mean everything to me. Anything you need I've got you. Okay?" He frowned at hearing her tone, embarassed at it. He could be the strongest in the world but parenting was something he could never get used to.
Mura couldn't help but let out a little giggle. "Sorry dad. I was just messing with you too. I know what you meant." She rubbed his hair playfully then giggled once more.
He rolled his eyes at Mura. "Did you eat something sassy girl? You two need to be staying healthy."
She nodded. "Me and Mamba just ate some cake! But we still are kind of hungry. Is mum here?"
"She should be. I don't think she goes many places these days honestly. We did a lot of things when we were your age. I think she takes these years to catch up on relaxing. Do you want to see her?"
"Mhm! Let's go see her! Right Mamba?"
"Yeah. I could see mom. There's things I want to talk about with her." She gave Murasaki a smile, she didn't want anything to be awkward or anything of the sorts with the family.
"Let's go then dad!"
Ashi laughed and took them both to the farm house. The house, especially one for a farm, was extremely nice and luxurious. One that the common man would dream of having. It was clean, even shiny and had all kinds of decorations that Ashi and Arika had bought over the years from traveling. There was a small picture of Rui, Arika and Ashi in the front that Ashi always admired and paid a visit to before he left the house and after he left. He looked up from the picture holding Murasaki on his shoulders. "Arika! You have some visitors!"
Arika got out of the chair she was in, walking from the from the family room, smiling happily as she heard she had some visitors. She knew it could only be her daughters. She stood up and held her arms out for hugs. "My babies! How are you?!"
Ashi let Mura down to hug Arika. Mamba smiled and hugged Arika. She was always happy to see her family, especially her mom as she never got to see her. Murasaki also went in and hugged her mother.
Arika held them both closely, before shortly letting go. "How have you been my loves? Have you been doing well in school? Not getting In trouble right?"
"I don't know about Murasaki, but I'm the head of the student council. My grades are pretty much flawless..and I've been offered to go pro in football after I graduate this year." She smiled, and pushed Mura's head lightly, teasing her.
"You are? I'm so proud for you dear! Just while you're still there just make sure your sister doesn't get into trouble. For me?" She said with a smile.
Murasaki groaned at her being pushed. She lightly barged her sister back, shoulder to shoulder. "I've been good! Promise! She even offered me a spot on the council!"
"Yes but you need to still keep your grades good. Don't fool around in class now. This is very important. Okay?" She smiled. Mamba even liked that Murasaki wasn't to be pushed around.
"My grades are good! They're very good!"
Arika chuckled and pulled away from the hug, rubbing both their heads. "I'll make sure to attend your next game Mamba. When is it?"
"Really? That's a first." She laughed back with her mom. "I think it's this week. I'll let you know okay? Dad should come to."
"Yeah. I'm sorry we haven't come before. Your father fucked- excuse my language. Your father messed up the farm..so we've been busy getting it back to normal..but of course we'll attend. Won't we Ashi?"
"I didn't!-" He was red from embarassment. Something that had never changed since they were children. "Yes of course! We'll attend all of them!"
"He did." She whispered playfully as she placed her hand to the side of her mouth, covering it from Ashi before standing up properly. "Well, you guys must be starving. You want some dinner?"
"Well I guess that raises the question..Are you cooking?" Mamba knew her father was an awful cook.
"Well I ain't gonna let Ashi do it."
"I've cooked for you! Don't be like that." He defended himself at her response. "I guess it wouldn't hurt for you to do it."
She went over and pecked Ashi's lips. "It's fine baby. Calm down." She then went off into the kitchen to start preparing a meal.
Ashi sighed and sat down, slouching in his chair. "So what's going on? You're joining the council Mura?"
"I think so! Mamba really wants me to!"
"Well, I think what's more important is about what you want. It doesn't matter what Mamba wants. She is great but what do you want to do?" Mamba seethed in the back as her father spoke.
"Well I do wanna join it! I think it'll help me be strong like you dad!"
"Ha. Strong like me? You know that takes a lot. It's a burden. People rely on you. People want autographs and interviews and pictures and everything. It's the second biggest responsibility i've ever took on."
"I want to help people dad." She crossed her arms before looking curious. "Then what's the most responsible thing you had?"
"Children and Marriage. I had to learn a lot of things. Learning how to love was harder than any technique I ever learned."
"So you didn't know how to love mum when you first met her?"
"You don't know how to love anyone when you first meet them..but that's the best part of loving somebody. Learning how to love and cherishing them." He got up and showed her the picture of Him, Rui and Arika. "I didn't know how to be friends with them either..but then I learned..and soon they became everything to me..then your brother and sisters came of course...then you." He smiled and tapped her on the nose putting the picture back.
She looked at the picture as he showed it to her, taking in his advice. Once he tapped her on the nose, she let out a little giggle and hugged him once more. "I understand Dad. What was mum and uncle Rui like when you guys were little?"
"Loving. Heartwarming. Protective of me and the world. They wanted to write a lot of the wrongs somebody had done."
"See! And you did it! You all did! Right?-" She asked, trying to recall the events of when she was a small child.
"Well, We saved the world." He rubbed the back of his head. "Multiple times..but not without any loss or suffering.."
"I know dad. I'm sorry." She said while seeming a little upset after being reminded of their sacrifices.
"Hey. It's okay now. Look I want you to join the council and be the best you've ever been okay? Become strong for me, then when you reach that level you can help people."
"I will dad! I'll be the strongest!" She said with a bright smile.
He rubbed her head and smiled once more. "..And stay safe please..Me and your mom don't want to have to come up there."
"I'll be ok..I got mamba with me at least!" She replied as she chucked from her father rubbing his head.
"Not forever. I may go pro in football..then you've gotta pick up the mantle..maybe try a sport." Mamba crossed her arms looking at her.
"I'm good at football too..just like..not like you.." She said as she crossed her arms and looked away, somewhat copying her older sister..
"Join the team this year then. Let's see how good you really are." She smirked at her.
"I..I can?" She asked, looking back at her.
"Sure. I'm the team captain. I don't see why not."
"Great! I'll join your team and be better than you!"
"Hmph. We'll see about that!"
"We will!"
"Where is the food? I'm starving.." Ashi loved his daughters but he had been working all day. It was time to eat.
"Foods ready!" Arika shouted from the kitchen, soon bringing out enough plates of fresh chicken, whatever vegetables was grown on the farm and rice for the four of them. She placed it down on the dining table and sat down, waiting for the others.
Mamba and Ashi sat at the table looking at their food. They were always delighted to eat with her regardless of when or how. Mura sat down at the last seat, already digging into her food. As did Arika. Mamba and Ashi dug into their food, in fact so quick that they cleared their plates in seconds. Father like daughter, while Arika and Mura ate their food calmly. Actually eating instead of shoving it down their throats. Like mother like daughter.
