Chapter 22 - 22. Ishtar Wants to Kidnap the Hero King Home as Her Divine Consort

Rin felt like she was about to fully project herself onto that goddess.

No, no, no—

I'm dressed like that and Kitano saw it, and he's staring the whole time.

So embarrassing…

"Rin? What's wrong?" Kitano saw her twisting her body, cheeks burning red.

She looked like she was… in heat.

"Ah, I'm fine. My forehead feels a bit hot. I'll rest and it'll be okay—ah…!"

Being stared at like that made Rin shy, so she instinctively turned away—

—and immediately saw the scrolling comments.

[Those legs are too delicious. I could lick them to death.]

[Hah. I could lick her till her bones break.]

[That's weak. I could lick her down to just bones.]

[Move aside. I won't leave even bones.]

[This one's a monster—I concede. Goodbye.]

What kind of people were these?!

They said shameless things without thinking.

If anyone was going to lick those legs, it wouldn't be them. Her legs were for her lover only!

…Wait, why was she subconsciously talking like she was that goddess again?!

"I—I mean, don't stare at me. Let's keep watching the video, okay? I feel like I'll be fine after a short rest."

It was rare for Rin to look so girlish.

Illya, standing nearby, was stunned.

This was the first time she'd seen the normally domineering Rin act like this.

It was like a proud mother cat suddenly showing a kitten-soft side, making it hard to process.

"Mm… Rin-neechan in the video is so cool." Illya looked over as both Rin and Kitano focused on the screen.

Onscreen.

The arrogant goddess spoke in an equally arrogant, teasing tone.

"Gil, come with your big sister. Be my man…"

"Don't even think about it, Ishtar. If you want, you can become my queen. When I'm grown, I'll abduct you myself."

The goddess clutched her belly with one hand, pointed at Gilgamesh with the other, and laughed like she'd heard the funniest joke on earth.

"Did I hear that right? A little brat wants to abduct me? I'm a goddess, you know! The Goddess of Heaven. Haven't you heard of me?"

Then she abruptly stopped laughing, rubbed her slender waist, and said seriously:

"I changed my mind. I'm going to abduct you and spoil you properly. Of course, you can resist. That'll make me even happier."

"Lady Ishtar, the king hasn't rested well and is speaking nonsense. Please don't take it to heart."

Siduri panicked as Ishtar turned serious.

As high priestess, Siduri served Ishtar and led her rituals. She knew exactly what it meant when Ishtar got serious.

"Siduri, don't lower yourself to this useless goddess! She's not worthy!"

Gilgamesh barked, stopping Siduri from pleading.

His crimson eyes met Ishtar's red gaze—sparks practically flying.

"Hah! I've changed my mind too. I want to lock you up right now and make you my canary!"

Gilgamesh laughed savagely.

"You? A little brat. Don't think being king makes you invincible. The gap between gods and mortals can't be bridged by cheap tricks!"

Ishtar sneered, her divine pressure swelling, trying to crush Gilgamesh.

But she miscalculated.

A far stronger pressure flooded the hall.

"Who is it?!" Ishtar shouted, haughtiness forgotten as she looked around tensely.

"Idiot. Are you blind, or just pretending? You dare ignore me?"

Gilgamesh's aura exploded, focusing directly on Ishtar.

"Kneel."

His voice rang like divine law, pressing so hard on Ishtar that she could barely breathe.

"It's you?!" Ishtar was shocked—and then the pressure increased again.

Her long legs buckled, she was on the verge of kneeling.

"I've never knelt to Father God. What are you to me?!"

She grit her teeth, forcing out a name:

"Maanna!"

The boundless sky split open without warning.

The crack widened, revealing a glittering planet beyond.

A golden planet descended slowly, bearing devastating pressure.

"Oh? That's you getting desperate. Fine—come on then. I'll take it. Let's see what you've got!"

Gilgamesh's red eyes reflected the outline of Venus.

The comments shook with awe.

[That's Venus?! She really pulled it down! How's the Hero King supposed to fight that?]

[This is brutal. One strike like that would wipe half the planet.]

[Probably not that strong. Ishtar's called the Venus Goddess—she once shattered Mount Ebih with this move.]

[Hero King is so damn cool. That aura, that stance… I'm captured.]

[I've decided—Gilgamesh x Ishtar is my ship now.]

[If he's already this strong now, what about after a few more years?]

Onscreen, the oppressive force surged.

The video softened it so viewers wouldn't feel ill.

"Tch. I won't stoop to fighting a brat. But when you're grown, I'll come again!"

With Venus' pressure, Ishtar forced a stalemate.

She didn't dare drop Venus on Uruk—that would be too humiliating.

So she rode Maanna away.

Boom—

The already ruined roof gained another hole.

"Your Majesty, are you alright?" Siduri asked anxiously.

"I'm fine. Worry about Enkidu—he's fainted."

Gilgamesh pointed to Enkidu on the ground.

Siduri hurried over and helped him up, then turned back before leaving.

"My king… the people are crying out in suffering. You…"
