Krillin couldn't ride Nimbus, so to come along searching for a sexy beauty, he tied himself to Goku with a strap.
So Goku carried him on Nimbus as they flew off from Kame House.
They cruised around looking for Launch.
Krillin scanned the ground just as hard, searching for a mature, sexy woman.
Because they were specifically looking for Launch, they found clues quickly.
A burst of heavy machine-gun fire reached their ears.
"Rat-tat-tat-tat! Pow-pow-pow!"
"Pew-pew-pew!"
Goku's eyes lit up.
Gunshots—must be Launch!
He steered Nimbus toward the sound.
A few breaths later, Launch came into view.
She was kneeling on the ground, looking helpless and frightened.
A ring of police officers aimed guns at her.
"Launch, you're under arrest!"
"Don't try anything stupid!"
"Move and we'll shoot!"
They closed in carefully, wary of a counterattack.
Launch clenched her pale hands near her mouth, backing away with her long white legs.
"Who are you?!"
The cops kept advancing.
"What do you want?"
"Who are we?"
"Isn't it obvious?!"
"You robbed an entire street! Surrender now!"
Just as they were about to grab her, Launch shrieked.
"Help!"
"Someone save me!"
Nimbus hovered right above her.
Krillin said, "Wow, she's really pretty… she might fit the Master's taste."
Goku nodded. "Yeah. I'll save her."
Krillin swallowed nervously. "But they've got guns. We can't beat that, can we?"
"Don't worry. It's fine!"
Goku dove Nimbus down.
Krillin clung to him in terror.
The next instant, they landed beside Launch.
The police shouted, "Who are you?!"
"Don't interfere with law enforcement!"
Goku pointed at Launch, blunt as ever.
"I'm here to save her."
Krillin saw their uniforms and guessed they were real police trying to arrest her.
He jumped off Nimbus, hid behind a rock, and shouted,
"Officers, just to be clear—this has nothing to do with me. I don't know him!"
The police captain flared.
"Save her? Do you know who she is?!
She just robbed a whole street!
Kid, cause trouble again and I'll arrest you too!"
Goku clenched his fists. "Sorry, then!"
In a flash, he dashed forward, knocking down the officers in three punches and two kicks.
Seeing her pursuers lying on the ground, Launch's eyes brightened.
"Wow! Your kung fu is amazing!"
"Thank you for saving me. I don't know how to repay you."
Krillin popped out right away.
"Heh heh, don't mention it. No big deal.
How about you come with us?"
Launch tilted her head. "Didn't you say you had nothing to do with it?"
Krillin grinned. "That was strategy! I played weak to lower their guard."
"Oh!"
So Launch rode Nimbus with them back to Kame House.
…Back at Kame House.
Chi-Chi saw Nimbus returning with Goku and Krillin and ran over excitedly.
"Goku, you're back!"
"Yeah. Where's Master?"
"He's inside."
Goku hopped down. Krillin slid off his back.
Then Chi-Chi noticed Launch on Nimbus.
"Huh? Goku, who is she?"
Launch flipped down from Nimbus.
"Hi! I'm Launch."
Chi-Chi frowned in confusion. "Why are you here?"
Launch shrugged. "I don't know why I'm here. They brought me."
She looked at Goku and Krillin. "What do you want with me?"
Krillin hurriedly explained, "Nothing much. We just want you to stay here for a while."
Launch's eyes widened with relief. "Then I'm saved! The police were after me."
Krillin blinked.
"After you?"
"Those cops were real? They weren't bad guys?"
Launch blinked innocently. "No, they were real police."
"Then why were they chasing you?"
Launch took out a capsule and clicked it.
A huge bundle popped into existence. She unzipped it, revealing glittering jewels and thick stacks of cash.
"Because I robbed a whole street."
Krillin stared at her treasure, his mouth twitching.
"You're kidding!"
"You look like a rich young lady—no way you'd do that!"
Launch shook her head. "I'm not kidding.
I've robbed trains and banks too.
You'd better be careful.
Whenever I sneeze, my personality completely changes."
