Chapter 10 - Likely Outcome and Problematic Groups

"..." The professor looks at me for a moment and glances back at the test, then he leaves the room, taking the results with him. From the government's perspective, I would instantly be compared to a genius.

Mainly because the topics were not previewed for me to study. I just showed up without even having an idea of what would be on the test, and I aced it, earning various privileges.

I just calmly wait for the professor to return, and in a few minutes, he arrives with one of his superiors.

"Good afternoon, young lady, I heard you've been taking the test since last night, and your score was amazing... Pardon my manners, I'm Yukio Tanaka, the head supervisor of this department at the school," he says enthusiastically while offering me his hand to shake.

Yukio Tanaka is a man with slightly graying black hair. He has blue eyes and a strong build. I know him, and he's a so-so kind of guy, the type who sucks up to superiors and looks down on inferiors.

In other words, if he's here, it's to gain credit as the person overseeing my supervision.

"I'm Setsuna," I say simply, without any more or less, not even shaking his hand. My introduction has an almost apathetic and even mechanical tone. Honestly, I don't care about anything he's going to tell me.

I just want to get out of here. Classes have basically already started, so for now, my sister is safe, but I should always be on the lookout, so I should be taking care of her.

"..." He removes his hand and checks the papers in front of me.

"You know, your score is really out of the ordinary, 100% in 16 continuous hours of testing... I think that sets a record, after all, the student who took the test the fastest with a good score got 86% in 26 hours."

"And even those who got 100% took longer to do it, after all, making all the calculations for several of the questions sometimes takes a while. You're a genius."

"..." I don't respond and just stare at him. This is just flattery. I know him well, so his compliments are simply superficial.

"Do you have anything to say, young lady?" He asks since I'm just silent.

"Do you think I cheated?" I say only that.

"... That's impossible, young lady, after all, our security is very strict here."

"Perfect, so if you know I didn't cheat, we could skip straight to the matter? I have more things to do after finishing here, I also need to go to the bathroom, get a drink, and eat something," I say all this to indirectly say that the stalling is inconvenient.

"... I understand, you're very direct, I like that in a student, so let's make this official. You've been accepted, and you'll be officially registered in the school's records after a final check that should take 1 day."

"The classroom you'll be in can be..."

"Room A-2 in Block 3, I won't accept a different room. If I'm placed in another classroom, I'll leave the school," I interrupt him when he talks about the classroom.

"... I'm sorry to say, young lady, but that classroom is already occupied. You'll be assigned to..."

"I've already said I won't accept being in another classroom. If you try to put me somewhere else, I really will leave the school," I interrupt him again.

"... Young lady, are you sure about what you're saying? You know you're just wasting your future because..." He speaks, trying to convince me, but my determination is strong.

"It doesn't matter. I only entered this school to find a person, and I won't stay here if I can't find the person I'm looking for, and that person is in room A-2 in Block 3," I interrupt him again.

Before the test, I would never do this, as they could remove me from the test, but now that I've taken the test and scored 100%, I'm too valuable to just be discarded because of a request.

In fact, the school likes bold students, precisely because that type of student shakes up the competition, forcing other students to improve.

"... Well, I see you have a strong personality... I'll see what I can do..."

"Remove the student with a 51% score from room A-2. I think I'm much more valuable, don't you agree?" In my previous life, there was a girl who only managed to get 51% and barely didn't fail.

I saw this same girl in the classification table, and again she ended up in room A-2 with only 51% score.

"... You're really very observant... You saw the online table, I suppose. Okay, you win, young lady," he says with a smile. He's not offended by this.

In fact, he'll just have more things to put in the reports and thus please his superiors. The biggest problem is that now I'm attracting even more attention, after all, they'll try to find out who I'm looking for.

Of course, I'll try to make as many friends as possible to make it impossible for them to know who I'm after.

"Young lady, can I know who you're looking for? Maybe... we could help?"

"Don't intrude where you weren't called," I say in a threatening tone. I don't care if he's a supervisor, no one will interfere between me and my sister. His body trembles momentarily, and he seems to be sweating cold.

"Okay, young lady... no need to get angry. Is there anything else I should know?"

"No, as long as you keep me in room A-2 in Block 3 and only remove the student with a 51% score, I'll be satisfied to contribute as much as possible to the school and academic activities."

"... Okay, let's officially formalize this then. Please follow me. I'll need, as I said, to check your registration data and ask you a few questions."

He gets up and goes to the door. I stand up from the chair I'm in and calmly walk over to him, following him along the way to his office, passing through the beautiful corridors of the school while I see some security guards.

I think the things that can cause me the most problems at school are the bullying groups, the popular girls, the president's son, the psychologist, and some other teachers.

After all, having the maximum possible score, breaking a school record, while still being pretty, will draw a lot of unwanted attention, which will make certain little groups appear.

And unfortunately, the school will make sure to notify 100% of the students about me, after all, I will generate competition, especially for those who are at the top in terms of grades.

And since I'm not rich, to some I'll seem like an even easier target, but since I need to do bad things at school, I'll make sure that anyone who comes near me deeply regrets it.

After all, as long as there's no proof that implicates me, I can do a lot of things, and incredibly, given my position in grades, I'm above many of the rich kids.

Since, unlike the rich kids who only have money as a contribution, I have intellect, and the current government values intellect more, so only the richest of the school are really above me in the school's big hierarchy.

This also gives me the ability to use the lower students as if they were slaves. The school will be willing to forgive any of my mistakes as long as they are not against very relevant people.

Like the president's son. Unfortunately, that jerk is someone I should avoid, first because the school won't cover up if I do something to him, and second, if I kill him at school, the security level will be so tight that I'll have problems.

Of course, killing him outside of school is an option, but it must be carefully planned in advance. Besides, I'll hardly have anything to do with that idiot, after all, he doesn't care much about those who aren't extremely rich.

As long as I don't bump into him and cause an accident, everything will be fine. Arriving at the supervisor's office, he lets me enter first as a sign of courtesy while I sit in the chair in front of his desk.

"Okay, Setsuna, I'll ask some basic questions and make some basic requests, alright?"

"Okay," I just agree, although 90% of my focus is on my sister. She must be trying to make friends now. I wish I could be watching her. It must be cute to see her all excited in the conversations.

"First, could you put your ID and face in front of this tablet?" He says, taking a tablet out of a drawer and showing it to me.

"Of course, no problem." I take the tablet and my ID, hold my ID in front of my face, and the tablet starts scanning my face and looking up information. I hand the tablet back to Yukio, who reads a bit.

"You know you'll need to see the psychologist regularly, right?" He says as he reads the health part. My physical health is perfect, but my mental health has a problem.

"Yes, I understand perfectly."

"Okay, are you planning to stay in the dorm?"

"No." If I stay in the dorm, I'll be restricted in certain things, and my sister isn't in the dorm, so there's no reason for that.

"Okay, I'll ask you a special question. Do you want to participate in the couple program?"

"..." I stay silent. The couple program is one of the things I most want to avoid. It's offered to talented students, and the school will pair two students of different genders as a couple.

"I'm a lesbian." I give the answer that says I'm declining. The couple program is for a talented or rich girl and boy to be paired together. By saying I'm a lesbian, I no longer qualify for the couple program.

I feel disgusted just imagining myself with a man. Even though I'm in a girl's body, I'm a man at heart. It's repulsive for me to imagine having sex with any man.

In fact, I don't even want any relationship other than something with my sister, and I'm not looking for sex or anything like that with my sister. I know she likes men and even know her type.

All I want is to protect her, so I'll probably stay alone until the day I die, but I don't find that sad. The only sexual consolation I'll have will be in masturbation, using lust as payment to the demon.

"I understand. Okay, it seems you just want to be a 'normal' student and don't want to participate in any additional programs or additions."

"Correct." With that, he starts checking a lot of things as negative. He sighs because I'm declining so many things.

"Okay... you can go now, and come back tomorrow at any time. It's almost certain you've been fully accepted, and we just need to create a uniform for you with the database information and do some extra checks."

"Okay, then I'll be going." I stand up from the chair I'm in.

"Eliot will guide you out." He says as I start to leave. Finally, this is over.
