Luckily, she did exactly what Calen told her to do because the moment they dashed into the forest, he moved incredibly fast, even much faster than yesterday.
He ran so quickly that Roxanna had to shut her eyes just to avoid getting dizzy. She expected to hear heavy breathing from him, but Calen sounded completely normal… as if sprinting like this was nothing more than a morning stroll.
Occasionally, she heard growls echoing from the trees around them, but surprisingly, they made it out of the forest without running into any demon beasts at all. Clearly, her beast husbands knew every path here like the back of their hands.
"Hey, Roxanna, are you alright?" someone asked, and she recognized Luan's voice.
Roxanna slowly opened her eyes… and gasped softly as she noticed that they were standing on a wide green meadow that stretched as far as she could see.
"Y-Yes! Yes, I'm totally fine!" she said, maybe a little too loudly.
"Do you want to walk?" Calen asked.
She nodded right away. "Yes!"
It had been so long since she'd last seen such vibrant green grass. She took a deep breath, enjoying the comforting smell of wet soil mixed with fresh morning dew.
The moment her feet touched the wet ground, she couldn't help but hop up and down slightly, just to feel the soft earth beneath her toes again.
Back in that snowstorm apocalypse, she had never left the cold shelter. Her feet always touched freezing metal, and when she was kicked out, her skin immediately froze off the moment it touched the snow.
But in this world… her feet could finally touch something other than steel, and they didn't freeze at all.
Her husbands didn't say anything as they watched her happily jump around the muddy ground.
None of them expected that there would come a day when they actually liked seeing that face smile like that.
"This is the way to our tribe, right?" Roxanna asked excitedly while pointing north, only to lower her hand instantly after realizing how strange it was for the tribe's leader not to know the way to her own tribe.
"I-I mean… let's head back now," she corrected herself awkwardly, yet she didn't take a single step. She still wasn't confident she'd choose the right path, despite having the memories of the old Roxanna.
Thankfully, Zeir began walking first, so all she needed to do was follow him closely behind.
The path toward the tribe's settlement was beautiful. There was green grass on both sides and a clear stream running alongside them, reflecting the morning sunlight.
[What a nice day to stay alive…] Roxanna thought with a soft smile.
"WHERE'S THAT FILTHY FOX?!"
Roxanna flinched, straightening up instantly as a furious voice exploded from the border of the settlement.
Roxanna felt like her soul almost flew out of her body when she saw a group of tall women with huge ox horns growing from their heads.
Each of them carried a giant stone axe that looked almost as big as their bodies. One swing of that thing, and she would be dead before she even got the chance to scream.
"Stop trembling like a scared little mouse! Where's that tail-chaser?!" The ox beast woman at the front yelled angrily at the mouse beastmen hiding in the settlement.
She added, "She tried to seduce my man yesterday! So bring her out so I can tear her hole wide open!"
[Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!] Roxanna screamed inside her mind.
[This damn woman! She already has five husbands, yet she still runs around seducing other women's men!]
In this world, the population of beast women had become extremely low ever since demon beasts crawled out from the void. For some reason, demon beasts attacked women far more often than men whenever they were faced with two choices.
Because of that issue, a beast woman could have more than one husband, some had three or five, while some crazier ones had gone wild and collected twenty husbands.
However, no matter how few women existed in this world, cheating was still forbidden!
Beast women were forbidden from touching married beastmen, and husbands must stay loyal to their wives. Yet somehow, the evil Roxanna managed to break that rule without shame.
"My Harlan only wanted to catch some fish! But she dared try to mate with him!" Carla's voice rose higher, and the poor mouse beastmen shrank further away.
[What should I do? What should I do?!] Roxanna panicked inside her head. [If I fight against a jealous woman's rage, that's basically choosing death!]
[Oh wait… I actually do want to die.]
Still, she did not want to spend the last thirty hours of her life dealing with this ridiculous drama!
"Carla, look! That tail-chaser is right there!" one of the ox beast women pointed at Roxanna, making her want to scream.
"Grab her!" Carla shouted. "I'm going to shove my axe into her hole!"
"Hell no!!" Roxanna shouted back. She grabbed a stone from the ground and threw it at the ox women sprinting at her. "Get away from me! I haven't even tasted a big dick yet!!"
Seriously! Why did she have to suffer because of the evil Roxanna's horrible reputation?!
She let out a loud scream when they rushed even closer. Roxanna was ready to bolt, but suddenly Calen and Zeir stepped in front of her, blocking the ox women.
"Carla," Zeir said coldly. "Do you even know what you're doing?"
His sharp eyes alone were enough to freeze the women in place. A few even looked ready to turn around and run back home.
But Carla didn't budge. She stomped her foot onto the ground, making the earth shake slightly. "Realize what?! The only thing I realize is that tail-chaser won't stop until she gets every dick in this land!"
Roxanna slapped her hands over her face, feeling extremely embarrassed when she heard that. Having such a bad reputation as a tail-chaser who thirsted for dicks was worse than being accused of murder.
On the other side, Zeir's red eyes gleamed slightly as he said, "For someone from the Sky Tribe to try harming the leader of the Vixeria Tribe… you are openly declaring war on us."
