Chapter 4 - A New Family

Nobu and Beru finally discovered the hideout of the criminals they had been tracking. At the entrance, two leaders waited for them, backed by twenty armed fighters.

The battle began instantly.

The twenty fighters fell like dry leaves before a storm—Nobu and Beru cut them down effortlessly. But the two leaders were different. Their movements were sharp, calculated, and deadly. They were martial arts masters, and even Nobu and Beru struggled to match them.

In the middle of the fight, one of the criminals landed a brutal blow that snapped Beru's arm. Pain twisted Beru's face, but he refused to fall.

Nobu clenched his teeth.

"Beru… swords."

Steel flashed.

Within seconds, both criminals lay headless on the ground, their blood painting the floor. Nobu took a picture of their severed necks as proof of the kill.

One fighter they had spared staggered forward, trembling, and handed Nobu a small key—the key to a secret basement.

When they opened the underground door, they were stunned.

Inside, fifty starving beggar boys huddled together, while five teenage girls trembled in the corner. The girls ran out the moment the door opened—desperate for freedom—but the boys had nowhere to go.

Nobu's fists tightened.

"We're taking care of them," he said quietly. "From now on, they're under us."

Beru simply nodded.

Nobu used his own money to feed the children, and from that moment, he and Beru took responsibility for all of them.

Searching for a Mother Who Was Already GoneAfter settling the children, Nobu decided to visit his stepmother. He hadn't seen her in years, and something inside him longed for answers.

The mafia's right-hand man provided her address.

When Nobu reached the house with Beru, it was empty—silent, abandoned. Dust covered the furniture. Nobu waited for hours, thinking she had just stepped out. But she never returned.

As they were leaving, an old grandmother from the neighborhood stopped them.

"The woman who lived here… she died long ago."

Nobu froze. He didn't speak. He didn't move. He just stood there, swallowing emotions he wasn't used to feeling.

Beru placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't lose yourself. We never had a family from the beginning. Don't break for people who are already gone."

Later, the mafia confirmed the truth—those people were never Nobu's real parents anyway.

He accepted it silently.

He had no past left. Only the family he had created.

A New Family, A New PurposeBack at their base, Nobu requested money from the mafia. The mafia granted him ten million dollars.

With that, Nobu and Beru returned to their village, bought a large mansion, and moved all the children inside. The boys cried with joy and started calling Nobu Big Brother.

Beru crossed his arms.

"We need to train them. The world won't spare the weak."

Nobu agreed. "Then we'll make them strong."

Ten Years LaterTime passed.

Ten years transformed everything.

Nobu and Beru became fully grown, powerful men—feared in the underworld. The boys they had rescued grew into warriors, loyal and unbreakable.

Nobu created a gang with them and named it "Wolves."

The mafia was delighted. With the Wolves rising, they believed conquering the world would now be easy.

But Nobu wasn't blind.

"Beru," he said, "we need our own money. We can't depend on the mafia forever."

He asked the mafia for funds one last time. With that money, he and Beru started a hidden drug trafficking business. They worked in the shadows, careful not to let anyone discover it—one mistake, and they'd be arrested.

But their secrecy paid off.

Money poured in like a flood.

They bought advanced training equipment for the Wolves and themselves. Their power grew. Their influence grew. And through the mafia's networks, they learned about powerful clans—targets for future missions.

The Wolves were ready.

A new era was beginning.
