Chapter 5 - The Mission That Broke Everything

Nobu and Beru were assigned a mission unlike anything before—

eliminate the Yashu Clan, a group feared not for strength, but for their terrifying intelligence and ruthless schemes.

This time, there were no backup teams.

Just the two of them.

For an entire month, both trained like monsters—pushing their bodies to the limit, sharpening their blades, and preparing for every possible scenario.

Finally, the day arrived.

They moved through the dense jungle in complete silence. According to the mafia's intel, the Yashu Clan had around seventy fighters.

But when Nobu and Beru reached the hideout…

There were only six men.

Beru frowned.

"This… looks too easy."

Nobu also felt something was off, but they couldn't turn back.

Both leaped into battle, slashing into the first guard, nearly cutting his shoulder in half.

But the guard didn't scream.

Didn't fight back.

Didn't even try to run.

None of them did.

It was unnatural.

And then—

Seven police vans and two helicopters surrounded them instantly.

Searchlights lit up the whole jungle.

Beru's eyes widened.

"It's a trap!"

Nobu's face darkened as reality hit him.

"This is Yashu Clan's intelligence… They set us up."

Nobu shoved Beru back.

"Run! Don't look behind—GO!"

Beru hesitated, shaking.

"But—"

"GO, BERU!"

With gritted teeth, Beru escaped into the shadows.

Nobu stayed behind.

The police swarmed him, beat him, and chained him.

He didn't resist—he knew resisting would only make things worse for Beru.

The verdict came quickly.

Five years in prison for murder.

Beru's Rage

The moment Beru returned to their base, he stormed into the mafia's office.

"They trapped us! They tricked us! Yashu Clan set everything!"

Even the mafia was shocked.

He immediately called the Police Head.

"I'll pay anything. Release Nobu immediately."

But the Police Head only laughed.

"There are bigger clans supporting me. Your money means nothing."

For the first time, mafia couldn't save their strongest fighter.

Nobu would not walk free until his sentence ended.

Inside the Prison

Prison was filled with monsters—criminals of every type.

Groups bullied the weak, each gang ruling its own corner.

One group noticed Nobu's quiet nature and tried to recruit him.

"New boy, come join us," their leader smirked.

"You'll be useful as a slave."

Nobu raised his head slowly.

"No."

Just one word.

The leader swung his fist—

But Nobu didn't even dodge.

His counterpunch knocked the man out cold in one hit.

Chaos exploded.

Every member of that group rushed him.

Nobu fought with pure fury—

fury at himself, at his arrogance, at his failure.

He beat the entire gang until the floor was painted with their blood.

Everyone in prison realized…

This man wasn't ordinary.

Nobu blamed himself every day.

Mafia told us to be careful… we didn't listen.

We thought we were unbeatable.

This is our punishment.

And with that dark, burning regret, Nobu challenged every gang in the prison.

One by one…

They all fell.

Within months, all prisoner groups bowed before him.

Nobu—

the man who entered alone—

was now the leader of the entire prison.

And every inmate swore:

"When we get out… we will follow you."

Nobu's gang had grown even bigger.

Meanwhile, Outside…

Beru refused every mission.

"I won't move without Nobu."

He spent his days waiting, training, and living with guilt.

Nobu's sons blamed Beru for hiding the truth of that mission.

Beru blamed himself too.

In the end…

Inside prison, hundreds bowed before Nobu.

Outside prison, Beru waited for the brother he couldn't save.

And the world kept turning…

unaware of the storm that would come when Nobu finally walked free.
