Naruto woke up quite late that morning and after brush is teeth haphazardly he realised a profound truth, he hadn't bought anything this week, since it was the weekend and he didn't have to go to the academy it was fine but as for breakfast he had his patented blend of questionably edible milk and bread.
But the question of shopping did bother him, villagers hated him and either wouldn't sell to him or upcharged him for anything they couldn't sell. Well atleast it seemed like allowance wasn't terrible, 5000 ryo a month, the lower limit of a D rank mission and according to his knowledge a normal academy student could live on it.
He had heard about various theories about how Konoha and Hiruzen his finances from him and his parents money being hidden but the situation wasn't that bad maybe.
For one he didn't pay rent, this house should be the one his parents bought, he didn't pay any utilities either. He joined the academy as a 4 years and 10 months old. Until then he seemed to have had a babysitter.
That's 86 months so far, that's 430000, plus utilities, equipment, books and clothes make it an even 600k. Inheritance wise Kushina while an Uzumaki, didn't have any inheritance in Konoha, Senju seemed to have dispersed and must have been given something right, maybe there was nothing for Kushina to inherit ,we know atleast Tsunade gambled everything away but I digress.
Kushina wasn't sent on any missions outside Konoha, Minato should have completed a lot missions but the highest pay of a Shinobi is a million, unless the village issues the task, they take a 20% commision, leading jonin can get from 20-50% depending on his contribution. Minato did a lot of high rank missions, some of them even alone. Oh wait a second, some missions might have been paid into Jutsu and knowledge.
But after dividing the money, and crafting a lot of his Kunais, how much did he have saved up, could be 4-5 million right. So where's the rest, did Hiruzen really eat it up?.
Meh, you can't probably calculate like that, that babysitter was probably paid from my money, panel said he was renewing my seal every year that maybe cost a bit, oh then there's the time they had repaint most of Konoha because I drew some art. I guess they don't appreciate my talents around here.
Naruto suddenly remembered Hiruzen saying something like " You'll regret it Naruto, this is coming from your fund"
and he replied " Hiruzen, I am the man who will be Hokage" or something like that.
There's also the paint, damn it did I really spent 20k of my saved up money on paint. That tracks I never thought for a moment Naruto would steal when he could be a sucker and pay haha.
Never mind, couldn't spent it meaningfully anyway. Hmmm I should spent more wisely you know grow some veggies and got it ,it's simple use Transformation Jutsu and go shopping or you know just ask Teuchi at Ichiraku to buy for me. They must buy in bulk right and I can just pay them at the end of the week or something.
" Hmm I am a genius dattebayo"
So Naruto went out that noon, and after getting lost a few time and almost meeting someone he thought was Zoro, he finally found the place where they sell the food for the soul.
Ichiraku Ramen
" Welcome, Naruto haven't seen you in while, how is the academy, is Iruka still giving you a hard time" asked Teuchi the moment he stepped in.
" Whhaat, who told you such vile things, Iruka sensei and I go way back, why would he give me a hard time. Besides he became a teacher after I was a year in, so he's technically my junior at the academy so there's no problem" said Naruto as he sat down and finished ordering.
Kid weren't you the one complaining how Iruka was giving you trouble.

Phew avoided that bubble, since I know Iruka is speaking with good intentions I should be nicer to him. Just a little bit huh.
" How about that, I am your junior Naruto?why didn't I hear anything about that?"
Naruto felt a otherworldly breeze on his back as he heard that voice and turned around.
" Abba aba"
" Were you finished, well allow me to retort, you still have that test on Monday and you should pass the exam unless you want more detention" harrumphed Iruka as he sat down.
" That's easy, after all I am guy who's gonna be Hokage and surpass all my predecessors"
Iruka wanted to continue scolding him and even deride a little bit but he couldn't after hearing Naruto said that. He didn't know how or why but this child who was called a demon and a monster won him over just by saying that all time.
Even though he never passed any of the tests, Iruka knew Naruto was trying harder than most people thought.
