Carmine felt a churn in his stomache like something is about to happend, but the moment he turn his head just to look at Leila he forgot that, he simply inform his secratory to update his schedule availability. As he helped leila to get into the car he saw the slight flushed cheeks that made him smirk,she wasn't used to being spoiled, taken care the things Carmine offers were too much for her.
that day when Carmine told he want to marry Leila she thought she's gonna be treated same way she was treated in Wintose mansion,She was actualy scared if something happen Carmine will also blame for misfortunate just like her dad,but the last 24 hours said something eles, he was paying attention to her everything the way she flich, the way she got overwhelmed when he gave her food lastnight, the way she blush when he spoiled her.
as the car pulled out of the parkig lot Carmines hand again to find it's way to leila's hand , everytime he did that Leila felt her body heat go up like she burning, she was simply confused, was she allowed to fall for Carmine? will she be ever recognized by world as Carmine's wife? she wasn't sure and top of all she wasn't sure what her father and Milly will do, as far as she know Milly won't give up that easily once she want something she's not going to stop until she have it, also Victor will always make things go the way Milly like no matter what,she was scared what will happend if Carmine change his mind and decide to marry Milly, will s have to go back to Wintose mansion if that happen oneday?, those kind of questions swirl around her head all the time
Later at the evening after Carmine help Leila to put those clothes in closet he walk back to his studyroom, he felt disstress without any reason, he lit up a ciger that he kept in locker just in case he needed ,he was looking out of the window thinking why Victor want to meet him, It was only a day after the arrangment was settled . He's aware of Victor's dirty games that's the reason why he took Leila into his mansion at the same night the arrangment was settled, he's sure that Victor is trying to pull a string that he shouldn't but he's more than happy to watch Victor trying to play games
At 8.00pm sharp his car pulled into Wintose driveway,Leila was home with his guards, for a reason he know this is something related to Leila but he doesn't want Leila to witeness anything that might hurt her feelings,he spent years searching for this little girl once he saw and finally he got her to himself he's not going to let anyone near her, not even her own father
he stepped into the room quiet yet demanding, as he enter to the living room he saw Victor sitting on a single sofa much friendlier for a business deal and Milly sitting on the couch fabulous yet not his type,he gave a short nod to Victor before sitting opposite side of him.
''welcome back, Mr.smith'' Milly chimmed but only got an annoyed slight mode from Carmine not even a side glance
Milly's disappointment showed in her face but she try to mask it with a wide smile that he didn't even acknowledge
''why would want to meet me?'' Carmine straightely went to the point without any sugarcoating
''I want you to change the bride''
Carmine didn't speak he just stare straightly into Victor,s eyes until he felt uncomfortable and look away
''And, why would I?''he wasn't surprised he knew this was coming that they would try to replace Leila , he knew that the moment he walk out of the house with Leila yesterday
He saw that Victor wasn't trying just to save company he's trying to access in to his wealth but he know Leila wasn't the right match for that, Milly is demanding and manipulating the exact same type he wanted Leila,she the exact same copy of her mother kind innocent and easy to break ,this was also one of the reason why carmine want Leila not milly other than Leila was the girl he was searching
''that girl, she's stupid she doesn't even finished school, no one will like it if you marry her''
''She didn't finished or you didn't let her finish?''Carmine's voice cut through the air like a knife''And,that girl? is that how you talk about your own daughter? disgusting'' he didn't let Victor talk again standing up he straightly went to the front door door and stop infrot of the door'' For your information,I'm not gonna marry your elder daughter even if she woke up as Leila'' with that he walk out without any glance back
Victor left heavy sigh looking at Milly whose fuming on her seat, she was embarassed and humiliated,she storm into her room crashing two vintage vases on her way Victor follow her to her room saw that she's turning her room upside down knowing this is another temoer tantrum he stayed quiet until she calmdown

In the mean time Carmine drive to his mansion already wanting see Leila who he left in the mansion advising after not to go out of her room,he saw her food tray was being prepare he simply made his way to the kitchen taking the tray from maid he finished making the tray
when he reached to Leila's door he heard some muffle voice inside the room'for a moment he thought someone has barge in t the room while he wasn't there,as his hand reached to the door knob he heard a soft giggles coming from the roomhe softly opened the door only a bit so he can peek in what he saw melted his heart ,
there's a little kitten in her hand she caressing its soft furr giggling at how it curled up on her lap she's giggling like a liitle kid the tray almost slip out of his hand he quietly enter to the room Leila was still unaware that Carmine is there,so she giggle while boncing the kitten in her lap.he stare at her a moment before clear his throat..at the sudden noice she shudder thinking he's gonna yell at her for bringing that kitten in
'I.....I didn't me-''
''you can keep it'' he cut her off before she start to apologies for some as silly as taking kitten in
''but where did you find it''he was kinda curious if she went out of the room while he wasn't there
''I...It was in the balcony'' she's kinda scared if Carmine will get angry
''you sure? you didn't went out?'' he didn't buy it at one go because he doesn't want give her the ultimatem of beleiving her blindly, not because he doesn't love her,he want to built her the way he want her to be as his wife. not control but enough know her place.
his is voice intimidating that make Leila's throat dry ,she slowly shook her head cluching the kitten like it hold her life,he looked at the way she's cluching the kitten like her life depends on it he almost laugh,he stopped himself the moment coner of his lip start to twitch.
''I bought your dinner,you have to eat'' she nodded getting up still holding the kitten in her hand,not ready put him down,he saw that she's not ready to put that furrball down anytime soon
''give it to me''his voice is less demanding much softer she looked at for a minute not trusting this man hold still a kitten without hurting it badly,she blink twise causing his lip twitch again,the white little futt ball is wagging it's tail almost refusing like it know what they are talking about.
''I'm not gonna kill it I'll just hold it until you eat'' she stare at him for half trusting half not then she slowly extent her hands to front to give the kitten to him, he took the kitten by one hand,she looked at the way he's holding the kitten like it's a dough,not caring much but enough to not to let the kitten go,then she slowly went to coffee table peeking at the table she saw there are spagetti and a bowl of pinapple cube and a glass of water when she saw the pinapple her eyes lit up, she loved pinapple but she never got to eat it
It was also thanks to Milly,she saw one time Leila eat left over pinapple , she saw the way Leila enjoy it and Milly didn't like it, in her eyes Leila doesn't deserve to be happy not even a bit,she always take matters into her hand every time she saw Leila was happy she made sure Leila can't be happy for moment she banned pinapple in the mansion from that day,everyone knew why and no one asked why not even Victor.
as soon as she sat down she grab the pinapple bowl with both hands and shove few cubes into her mouth,Carmine stare at her with amused expression this one of new side he saw of her,she completely forgot the spagetti.
''slow down, no ones gonna steal your pinapple'' she gave him a slight glare are went back to eating,he was amazed when she glare at her the small smile on his lips widen when he saw that
after ten minutes she was done with pinapple and completely abandon the spagetti, as she was about to he pulled he back to the chair again '' finish your food''she huffed at his sound but took the fork anyway,after another solid ten minutes she finished everything.
she then look at the carmine who still holding the kitten in his hand, it was very comfortable in his hand purring like a machine,carmine was stroking it's long white furr,she extend her hand have it back.

''have you named it'' she shook her to say no,when she saw the cat outside of the balcony she forgot everything. she always wanted to have a cat to herself but never get to have one at all but when she saw the little one she wanted tp keep it but was afraid to ask from Carmine so she thought to let it go once she heard the Carmine coming but at the moment while enjoying the kitten's company she didn't hear carmine was coming,when she saw Carmine behind her back she was terrified she thought he's gonna hurt her or punish her for taking the kitten in but to her surprise he didn't say a word and let her to keep the kitten.
this is really not what she imagine when he state he want to marry her, she expected shouts,scars ,hits and fear not a loving and spoiling, she thought she'd be bruiced, abused once she walk in to the mansion that's how she ever heard people address him never a super caring guy type but here he is caring about her like she's royalty and give in to everything,this was the complete opposit from what she imagine and yet felt horrible to trust him
she lay down on the bed still holding the kitten, the kitten curl on to her chest seeking the warm of her body,carmine felt obbsessed over the scene infront of him the way Liela on bed holding that soft furr ball almost enough to make him loose his control he look down almost amazed the way he's getting hard
''buddy this is not the time'' he wisper to himself before exiting the room,he saw about to enter to his study room when one of his subordinate walk in with a serious look,the man's facial expression told him everything he need to know 'trouble' that's what it is
