Island Center.
"Linlin, do you remember everything I just told you?" Reno looked at Linlin expectantly. She was a crucial part of whether the plan would succeed or not.
If it worked, there might even be an unexpected bonus.
"Uh-huh! Linlin remembers everything!"
The promise of a super-giant cake made Linlin nod like a chicken pecking rice, afraid Reno might go back on his word.
"Roge, they'll be here soon. You guys hide too; don't expose yourselves."
"Yes, Young Master!"
Roge waved his hand, and all the guards around them vanished instantly like streaks of light, hiding in various parts of the forest.
"Those bastards!!"
Hajrudin glanced back, his pupils constricting sharply. In just a short while, the Silver Wolf Pirates had gotten even closer to his ship.
At this rate, they would catch up in a few minutes.
He was severely injured and was no match for Lester right now. If he were caught, it would not end well for him.
"I'll go to that island ahead. Maybe I can escape this disaster there."
Hajrudin took a hurried glance. Even from this distance, he could see the dense ancient trees on the island.
With the cover of the forest, he might be able to escape. This was his only chance.
With this thought, Hajrudin endured the pain and continued to steer the ship, heading for the island ahead at full speed.
"Eh??"
"Boss, Hajrudin wants to land on the island!"
The members of the Silver Wolf Pirates behind him keenly spotted Hajrudin's intention.
"Boss, although the island isn't big, the forest is dense. If he gets in there, it won't be easy to catch him," the scarred strategist of the Silver Wolf Pirates analyzed with a frown.
"Hmph! He robbed me and killed so many of my brothers, and he thinks he can run?! Full speed ahead!!"
"Today, I'm going to chop him up with this sword to go with my drink!!"
"YEAHH!!!"
The lackeys on the gunwales shouted, opening up full firepower to catch up. In their eyes, this cat-and-mouse game was about to end.
Not long after, Hajrudin stopped the ship and came ashore, not even taking the treasure he had snatched.
He hoped that after Lester and his men took the treasure, they would stop chasing him and leave.
If he carried the treasure, they would definitely not give up pursuing him.
However, severely injured and having lost too much blood, he stumbled even when walking.
He hadn't gone far before Lester and the others caught up.
Hajrudin left a trail of blood wherever he went. Knowing that Hajrudin was at a dead end, Lester and his men slowed down.
"Hahahahaha! Kid, did you think my treasure was that easy to snatch??"
"Instead of staying obediently in your Elbaf, you dare to come out and act wild? You really don't know the meaning of death!!"
"You killed so many of my brothers; today, I'm going to make you be buried with them!!"
The enraged Lester had a face full of flesh that shook as he spoke, his expression extremely ferocious.
"You... You guys..."
Completely exhausted, Hajrudin gasped for breath, his face deathly pale as he collapsed weakly onto the ground.
After running for so long, he had reached his limit.
"I am a giant! Lester, if you kill me, you should know what the consequences will be!!"
Hajrudin, his survival instinct in overdrive, had no choice but to bring up the giants.
Although the opponent was a notorious and brutal pirate in these waters, who didn't know the might of the Giant Race?
Unless they were top-tier powerhouses, no one dared to say they didn't fear the giants.
His only hope now was that Lester would be wary enough of the giants to spare him after taking the treasure.
However, Lester's next words utterly shattered his only hope, sinking his heart to rock bottom.
"Hehehehe... Hajrudin, stop trying to scare me with the giants."
"I'm certainly no match for the Giant Race, but if I kill you here today, who's going to know??"
"If you want to blame someone, blame yourself! Now die!!!"
Lester's face twisted into a hideous grin. Unwilling to waste any more breath on Hajrudin, he raised his longsword to chop him down.
"Does it count if I know?"
Just as Lester was about to strike, a childish voice rang out abruptly.
"Linlin knows too."
Lester's hand paused slightly. He turned his head to look.
The others were also drawn to the voices.
They saw two children walking over from the other side.
Although Linlin was huge, her features were still immature; one could tell at a glance she was just a child.
Reno was only twelve. Even though his temperament was different from ordinary people, he still looked like a child.
Their sudden appearance put everyone on alert.
Lester frowned and scanned the surroundings carefully. Finding no one else but the two children, he finally relaxed.
"Are you a giant too??!"
He ignored Reno completely, his gaze locking onto Linlin, sizing her up.
After all, Linlin's size was undeniable. How could a normal human grow so big? Anyone would be suspicious.
"Linlin isn't a giant. Linlin is human," Linlin responded obediently while munching on her cake.
"Human? You sure grew big enough for one."
"Where did these brats come from, daring to act wild here? Boss, kill them!!"
Reno led Linlin straight to Hajrudin. He saw that Hajrudin was badly injured and needed to be bandaged immediately.
If he lost too much blood, his life could be in danger at any moment.
"You... You guys need to leave quickly! These people are vicious criminals; they won't let you go!"
Anxious, Hajrudin ignored his own pain to warn Reno.
If these two were killed because of him, he would blame himself even in death.
"Don't worry. We won't die, and neither will you," Reno responded leisurely, showing no signs of panic.
"You..."
"Linlin, if you're full, kill them. They're an eyesore."
Before Hajrudin could finish, Reno waved his hand and interrupted him.
"Okay! Wait a little bit, Big Brother. Linlin will go kill people first."
Linlin nodded obediently. She stuffed the last piece of cake into her mouth and walked slowly towards Lester.
