Running through the abandoned streets at an astonishing speed which was unreal was Charles Valborg, he cleaved and sliced his way through any goblin or orc who tried to attack him.
40 minutes ago, at the academy
After Robert had left.
"I humbly accept this offer of becoming the student of the sword king" Dominic said with a bow
"Well that wraps it up but we still have to make it officially using my token which by bad luck I forgot at the capital" Charles had a look of regret.
Meanwhile Dominic was full of colorful emotions as the renowned sword king had just taken him as his student something he did not believe will come to true, the excitement and happiness over filled him that a wide smile was plastered on his face.
He couldn't wait to get home and share this good news to his family and also see the look on the faces of the people who had mocked him several times, he couldn't wait to say
'in your face's assholes'
While Dominic was drunk in his thought and joy, his phone in his pocket was vibrating. Dominic reluctantly brought out the phone from his pocket and saw it was a notification then he proceeded to read it.
"WHAT!!" Dominic exclaimed with shock as his pupils shrunk as he read the notification and Warning sirens went off as they sounded in the entire area and the look on everyone's faces changed instantly.
"A rift break" Dominic had a shocked expression as he saw the emergency alert and heard the warning sirens.
"On the day of your awakening, a rift appears and a red one at that" Charles released a sigh had as he had a relaxed look on his face.
'Roberts out there with his sister' it suddenly crossed Dominic mind and a sense of dread washed over him as he realized the severity of the situation given Robert's awakening.
"Every student quick to the underground shelter" An academy instructor shouted out to the students as everyone was thrown into panic.
"Hey new student of mine you need to follow the-"
"Esteemed master of mine and the great sword king please this humble student has a request" cutting off Charles was Dominic as he was on his knees with his head on the floor.
"While are you on your knees and what request?" Charles was surprised at Dominic's behavior.
"All this humble student asks of is for the sword king to save a dear friend of mine who left a while ago and who will be out there in that chaos" Dominic pleaded as he was filled with emotions.
"You mean the boy who awakened a white talent?" he asked
"Yes" Dominic affirmed
"Why should I go and save him? Your safety is more important to me right now" Charles had a neutral expression on his face and Dominic gritted his teeth.
"Because he's the only close friend I have, he was the only one in the academy who took him up and became friends with me when everyone else looked down on me and ghosted me, he helped me get through every difficult situation l found myself in.
He helped me up when I was in my lowest moment, he always stuck by my side coming to pull me out of trouble and had always taken the front to protect me from foul mouths. He always encouraged me and stood with me, but yet fate decides to be cruel to him, so please all l ask ofé is for you to save him.
I don't want to lose my only friend, please save him" Dominic was in tears as he pleaded
'this boy, his so sincere and cares about this friend of his which means their bond has been forged through fire and metal. His humbleness, looks like I made the right choice' Charles smiled as he looked at Dominic who was on his knees in tears.
"We haven't even sealed our agreement as master and student officially and you are asking for a favor already, how bold but I hope saving him will be worth it"
When Dominic heard him, his eyes widened with surprise and hope as he stopped crying.
"Thank yo-" Before he could thank the sword king, he had left in the blink of an eye without making a sound, silent as the wind.
"worthy of been the sword king" Dominic was shocked at his exit.
"Robert make sure you stay alive" Dominic said with a heavy heart.
Back to the present
'damn that brat, we haven't even officially become master and student and yet he already asks for favor to save a friend, well just pray his still alive, because what I have come across so far, it's gonna be a miracle if his still alive' Charles had an unpleased look as sliced through five orcs at once and with ease, his sword cleaved through them like hot knife slicing through butter.
"ROOORAH" The roar of a beast came from above and Charles looked up, descending towards him at an incredible speed was a winged creature which looked more like serpent as it bared it fangs as it descended towards him and riding the creature was an orc.
"Pest" he had an unfazed look on his face as looked the creature descending upon him.
He held his blade and suddenly his huge blade began to radiate with cyan colored energy which wrapped the blade wanting to be released.
"Sirius slash, first form arc slice!!" he swung his blade in an upward motion in the air and the cyan colored energy in the form of an arc left his blade and shot towards the winged creature at an astonishing speed and the attack collided with the creature and the orc eyes widened in terror as it the attack came at lightning speed.
"BOOM!"
As the attack collided with its targets, it exploded, blood and body parts rained down as the winged creature and the orc were blown to shreds.
"tsk, annoying creeps" Charles snorted and just then ahead meters away with buildings blocking his view suddenly a bright pillar of red light shot into the sky, its sight was domineering and the pillar of red light released an air shockwave which swept over a large area when the air shockwave passed Charles.
"What!!" the expression on Charles face changed to that of fear as his legs trembled and his hand trembling with his weapon, he was tensed.
"What is this presence, its domineering and pressurizing. It's as if an ancient beast has awakened" Charles could not move an inch as beads of sweat formed on his forehead, the same even went for every other awakened fighting against the orcs and goblin army even the orcs and goblin felt it too, the pressure made every being stop attacking each other and not dare take a step further as it felt like if they moved they will killed on the spot immediately.
Even the leader of the orc and goblin army had an expression of fear and dread no his face as he felt the pressure, from his expression it looked like something he had encountered before.
Meanwhile
Suspended in mid-air was robert as he was engulfed in the crimson red energy which resembled smoke, the orcs and goblins looked at robert who was unconscious and suspended in mid-air as the crimson energy circulated around him, even Elisa and Zoe were stunned as they watched the scene unfold before them.
Meanwhile robert found himself in a dark space floating alone.
"Where am I? is this the road to heaven?" he questioned but only his voice echoed in the dark empty space.
"this isn't the road to heaven my boy but the way to unlock your true destiny that born of the linage of the Draconic Emperor" a deep thundering voice sounded and the entire void trembled as the mysterious voice spoke.
"what is the meaning of all this words you speak of" robert was confused by the words of this mysterious being.
"You carry my bloodline and so now you must awaken and protect that which you hold dear to heart" the voice thundered.
"the one am supposed to protect will die, in my state now how is it of any help, if I had awakened a high tier talent maybe I would have been able to protect her but yet I failed" Robert busted into tears as the whole place fell silent.
"well little one you still have a spark of hope, so let this ancestor help you this one-time" suddenly a bright golden light shines upon robert and the entire dark void lights up as the golden light descends from above and then roaring like thunder that the entire place trembled was an enormous golden dragon which descended towards robert at raging speed.
"what the heck!! Is that a freaking dragon!!" Robert's eyes widened in shock as he saw this beast descending towards him, he wanted to run but found himself not been able to move at all.
The blinding golden light blinds Robert's vision as the dragon reaches him, entering into his body and merged with him and a bright golden bursts out from his body.
At the same time in the real world.
The same thing happens to him as the crimson energy turned golden and a pillar of golden light shot from his body towards the sky which was more intense than the red light and from all over the city the pillar of golden light could be seen and everyone was thrown awe and wonder as they saw the golden pillar of light.
Everyone at the academy could see the golden light and were in surprise and wonder as looked at the pillar of golden which reached the sky and even penetrating all the way to the atmosphere.
"What a spectacular sight, did someone awaken in the mist of this disaster" Dominic spoke with awe as he looked at the pillar of golden light.
Meanwhile Robert's body was undergoing certain changes which was unbelievable, his hair greatly increased in length which reached his waist and then draconic scales appeared on his arm and hands even parts of his face was covered in golden draconic scales. His leg and arm which was decapitated regenerated in an instant and all his wounds healed in the blink of an eye
Then slowly his body descended back to the ground and using his leg to stand as he came down and then he opened his eye slowly which were draconic and golden in color, the look in his eyes was fierce, intimidating and cold.
The orcs and goblins were in absolute shock as Robert's arm and leg which was cut off regenerated back and at an incredible speed and they shivered in fear as they couldn't move a muscle as Robert's gaze on them brought pressure upon them. It felt as if his gaze could pierce through their soul.
"Rob…Robert??" Elisa stammered as she looked at Robert whose gaze was cold even Zoe could feel the pressure and fear from his gaze as she looked at him as she froze with fear due to his appearance and stare.
The Orc who was about to defile Elisa was shaken as it looked at the human who few minutes ago, he had made a bloody mess standing with all his wounds healed and his decapitated body parts regenerated and his appearance different and deadly.
'How could this puny human give off such presence, I don't believe this' the orc refused to accept this how can a human, a lowly lifeform gives off such might, he refused to believe it.
Gaining courage despite the fear the orc suddenly charged forward at robert with its spear and the goblin general was shocked at the orc's action more of its stupidity.
"Puny human die!!" the orc roared as it charged with its spear swung at Robert whose gaze seemed unfazed by the incoming threat but in the blink of an eye Robert moved from his position then.
"Splurt"
The orc was beheaded in a flash of light, blood pumped out endlessly from its decapitated neck like a fountain and with a thud the lifeless body of the orc fell to the ground and the goblin commander was deeply shocked by such speed.
Standing two meters from the corpse of the orc was robert who in his hand was the head of the orc as Robert's eyes carried a dead cold look in them. Elisa and Zoe were stunned as they looked at robert holding the head of the orc in his hand even other orcs and goblins shocked too.
Even more frightened was the goblin commander of this unit who was sweating with fear as terror washed over him as he looked at Robert, something he really dreaded and a presence he feared.
"How dare you!!" another orc charged straight at with Robert with tremendous speed and swinging his large blade at Robert who stood calm as he looked at the large blade coming towards him.
"Slash"
In the blink of an eye less than a second, with a slash the orc was slit at the center of his abdomen and the orc couldn't even blink as the attack was lighting fast and then his upper half fell off unto the floor and a pool of blood formed beneath the split in half orc.
Stained with blood was what were original Robert's fingers which were now claws as his entire right hand was now dragon like, the other orcs and goblins were dead shocked as they witnessed this scene before them.
Then Robert took his gaze towards the goblin holding down Elisa, when the goblin saw his gaze, he froze in fear it felt as of a deadly beast was staring at him like a predator staring at its prey. This made the goblin take a step back as it was gripped with fear as Robert's gaze hung on him.
In the blink of an eye Robert came before the goblin struck with fear before the goblin cold even blink its eyes or even react, Robert drove his claws into the goblin's chest twisted his hand and ripped the goblin's heart out and blood pumped out like a gushing fountain.
Elisa's eyes widened inn shock as her brother, Robert brutally killed the Goblin before her and blood spraying into the air around her.
The brutality made the other Orcs and goblins shiver in horror even the goblin commander of the unit was terrified to the bones as he looked at Robert holding the beating heart of the goblin in his hand.
"what are you all standing for, get him!!" Summoning courage the goblin commander ordered the remaining units to attack Robert, they all seemed hesitant at first after witnessing his strength but their pride blinded their vision and with roar, they charged at Robert whose eyes held the cold gaze.
In a zigzag motion robert busted forth like lighting towards the charging Orcs and goblins and in a fluid motion he cut down every single one of them as blood sprayed in the air as he used his draconic claws to slice and dice.
Dripping from his draconic claw was blood as robert Stood and behind him the corpses of the orcs and goblins he had just killed, the look in his eyes was cold and there was a deadly glint in his eyes as he took his gaze to the goblin commander.
When the goblin commander saw Robert's gaze, he felt a chill run down his spine and that he froze with fear on the spot, his legs even refused to move.
'how is this possible, able to kill all my soldiers in one fell swoop, wasn't he at the point of death and weak but now his presence is truly terrifying' the goblin commander was in disbelieve as the sudden turn of the table was beyond his imagination then suddenly a thought crosses his mind.
Then he takes a look at robert and his eyes constricted in absolute shock and fear.
'those features, it can't be….no it can't… he is a dragon kin!!!!'
His fear was replaced by true terror, he began sweating profusely, he wanted to run but his legs refused to heed to his brain command, he was petrified to the core.
"Whoosh"
And in the blink of an eye robert appeared before the goblin commander and look in his eyes was terror as Robert stood before him, with a cold and deadly merciless look in his eyes, the goblin commander body froze with fear on the spot.
The goblin commander had the feeling of been an ant before robert, as Robert's presence was terrifying and full of fear and pressure. He felt as if he stood before a primal beast one capable of killing him in the blink of an eye.
Faster than the blink of an eye robert grabbed the goblin commander by the head and slammed him face first in the ground with unbelievable force that the ground was shattered.
The pain that shot through goblin commander's head was like fire, robert held his head again and slammed him face first into the ground again.
"Argh…!!"
The goblin commander could not comprehend the kind of pain he was going through right now, his vision became blurry and full of blood, it was as if his head was banged by metal blocks like a sandwich.
Robert raised his head up, as the goblin commander's face was a bloody mess, his nose was bent sideways in every way unnatural and a few of his teethes missing
Then robert grabbed right hand of the goblin, holding the index finger of the goblin and with snap sound he bent the index finger backward.
"Arghhhhh!!!!" The goblin commander let out a painful scream as his index finger was bent in a weird angle.
But robert didn't just stop there, he moved to the middle finger.
"SNAP!!"
the middle finger of the goblin was bent backwards and he let scream one filled with pain, the pinky, thumb and the other finger were all bent backwards as the goblin screamed in pain endlessly.
Elisa and Zoe watched with horror and stupor as the orc went through unbearable pain, Elisa began to think if robert was still her brother. Robert moved to the left hand and did the same to the left-hand fingers.
"Ki…kil…kill me hell damnit" the goblin commander gritted his teeth in pain as he said to robert.
"Hah? Kill you? Instant death is just too good for you pest, this is just the beginning!!" A grin curved on Robert's lips and the goblin heard this, its eyes widened in disbelief and shock as a grim expression appeared on his face.
Grabbing the right arm of the goblin, a deadly smirk curved on Robert's lips and the goblin saw Robert's grin, his pupils shrunk in fear as he seemed to anticipate his next move.
With blinding speed and cruel force Robert twisted the entire arm of the goblin commander in an unreal and unbelievable way that didn't seem possible at all as the snapping of bones were heard.
"ARGHHHH!!!!"
The goblin commander let out a scream of pain and agony fused together, as the expression on his face twisted in pain, the entire right arm of the goblin had been twisted in a cruel manner, some of his bones in his arm where sticking out and flesh mingled together.
Robert moved then to stomping on the goblin's legs continuously, the goblin was wrath in misery and pain that his situation was pitiful, he kept screaming endlessly as he went through hell in the form of torture and pain.
The goblin's screams turned to muffed screams as every bit of strength he had left him bit by bit as robert continued his assault then robert Stopped.
The goblin right now was a bloody mess, mingled flesh and broken bones bent in weird and disturbing angles, the goblin let out ragged breaths as it fought with excruciating pain and torment, it had just gone through.
Robert grinned as he looked down at the goblin who was total mess right now and he grabbed the goblin by the head and smirked.
With brute force he pulled off the goblin's head from its body and the its spine following the decapitated head and blood pouring endlessly from the decapitated head of the goblin.
The sight was unruly to watch, that Zoe couldn't bear it anymore as and she vomited as the blood and gore she had seen was enough, when her gaze met Robert's, seeing the dead cold look and killing look in his eyes.
She was immediately paralyzed by fear that she passed out on the spot, Even Elisa was shaken and petrified with fear, as the person she knew as her brother standing before her was totally different.
"ROARRRR!!!"
Then from above in the sky descending towards them were the winged creatures which where ridden by mostly orcs and a handful of Orcs and goblin warriors were closing in on their location, tossing the head of the goblin commander in his hand away.
Robert looked towards the sky with an unpleased look in his eyes as the winged creatures descended towards them and baring their razor-sharp teeth at them.
Then his draconic claw began to glow, taking a stance he released an upper swipe with his draconic claws and three arcs of light left his draconic claws, the three arcs of golden lights increase in size as they approached their targets up in the air.
The attack, moved at the speed of lighting distorting the air as it shot forward, that an Orc's pupil shrunk in surprise as he could barely see the incoming attack and
"BANG"
The attack collided with the targets, the orcs and their winged mounts where tore to bits and shreds that it rained blood, even the top of a high-rise building was split in three.
Taking back his gaze to the charging army of orcs and goblins towards them, as Vehicles and debris was flung in the air as they charged through the streets, exhaling a bit, Robert took a Stance of one about to run.
"WHOOSH"
in the blink an eye, Robert shot forward like a bullet as his speed was shocking that Elisa had her jaw dropping at his speed.
'When could he move like that?'
Robert charged at the raging army of orcs and goblins and he charged directly into their center as some orcs and goblins where flung away as he dashed through their numbers.
